Stay peaceful...we waited this long...we will eventually get through this.  Even if we are in the nuthouse by then.   My husband has called NVC the person who answer the phone call given ID# and invoice# by the way my husband has tried to pay $88 through payment portal but it gives some error messages saying something and contact NVC,can you tell me what has gone wrong??? Check with your country and what documents they require for each step. When we started this process I got it all togehter beforehand by checking all the requirements, as to what is needed. I almost forgot petioners original birth certificate, but thanks to "readerchoice" I got this in time.   What I'm saying. I had all the original already on hand and prepared the packages in advance. My DS-230 was filled out since last June, I only waited for the time I could date it.   I was aware of every step. But it was the little things I needed help with. When to staple or not. Wow...I can only write what I did.   1.  My NOA2 approval date 29 March.      Petitioner received written approval I-797 April 10.      I called 5 times for case # and ID invoice # .      I received the numbers April 19.   2. With the case # I immediately emailed April 19 (regular email) my DS-3032. Check on page 103 what I wrote.     An automated response will tell you they received it. This generates the DS-230.     I resend the DS-3032 on May 1, changed in subject line: for supervisor review because DS-230 taken to long.   3. With the case # and ID inv. # I keep checking under "immigration visa invoice payment center" for the I-864 payment to be invoiced.     $88 invoice payment opened April 25. I paid immediately. (Have bank routing and account number ready) Print your Bar-code sheet. It entails     the address where to send your I-864 documents, and is used as cover sheet. (Be aware my country doesn't file anything online)     Invoice showed paid on April 30.     I immediately expressed my I-864 documents with DHL the next day, April 26.    They received my documents, April 29.   4. Did the same with DS-230 invoice. I keep checking the payment center portal using my case # and ID invoice #.     $230 invoice payment opend May 3. I immediateliy paid and printed Bar-code sheet with address.     Send DS-230 package (DHL express) the next day, April 4. They will receive it this Tuesday.     (The payment portal doesn't show paid yet, but the bar-code sheet is proof I at least attempted to pay) lol   5.  Need my medical done 6.  Interview date                 required documents are ready for interview   I hope this helps some. And lots of prayers that I receive no other correspondence than the said interview date.   Well its long way , then when did they ask you for the other documents? I did included my DS-2001 that I am ready for interview and have all documents together. Next week I do my medical. I got approved from USCIS on Mar 5 (NOA2) NVC received my case 1 week later.  It took them another 15 working business days (excluding weekend) for me to received a case# numbers and IIN.  After that It took another 4 days to get the online portal ready to accept payment. Basicly I just watied 1 month before I can even sent out any documents.   You need to exclude the weekend and only count working business days as NVC referring to 15 working days is minimum, it may take up to 20 or more depend on volume they received.   You may wonder why others got approved the same time as you but they already had their case# or IIN????.  Well, just think of this way....USCIS ship out boxes and boxes of approval cases........so they are stack up high in a room at NVC awaiting for case workers to get to them, and since your file may be in one of those boxes way on the bottom, a case worker aren't able to get to them soon enough, at this time you just have to wait at this point.  Where as others may get lucky their files is in the top boxes.   yes what ur saying true,let me keep hope	neto123	Not Telling	Sri Lanka	2013-05-02 11:11:00

Payment portal still says "in process". Well...I hold the proof its paid. They too will receive my 864 package today. I call this good timing. Maybe tonight I get 230 invoiced. Need to get this over and done with.   No luck when my husband called to NVC they have said u have to wait 15 working days , i am loosing my patience. You have nothing to worry yet. You are not over 20 working days. I can only assume that the worker who handles your case to enter is a little slower at it. This is why the keep telling us to wait 10 to 20 working days. This is because it can take 10 -20 working days to do so. You have of today 5 working days. Check with them on a regular basis, I say call again next Thursday and Friday. This at least gives 10 days. The Lady over there seems to know such things. You must be talking about your DS-230. You send in your IV package every original, plus ONE copy of original. (Make copy of the package just for you to keep). The NVC will return all your originals to your consulate/embassy. I can't see NVC being confused when YOUR "Justice Clearance" report states for what it is. But mine is only ONE paper stating I'm cleared. Don't know how they look in your country. I was always getting through calling 8am their time. (No waiting time) For me its running a good pace. I was surprised on all the little details I wasn't aware off, and even missed here and there a piece of paper. So the time can save us more agony in the future. So I received great info on here before I even take my next step. So much of waiting to live with my husband??????????????? I took Justice clearance form to get ready all the documents when they ask i can mail my husband.Because in Sri Lanka to get justice Clearance it take 21 days which they Post to me after 21 Days of applied date. By the way in that form they have asked to fill. A)Indicate address of the high commission/Embassy consulate to which the certificate should be addressed to. Hi Neto, I'm not sure about Sri Lanka where it may have EP (electronic processing) and routine may be different than other country. IE: India processing is almost same as everyone else except after case close. So you wants to check with NVC or NVC forum for Sri Lanka first before attemp to do anything. But in general for IR-1 required documents are: Civil Documents: http://travel.state..../info_3195.html on second page...this is where it country specific you may wants to take a peek. http://travel.state..../info_3830.html At the top of this url it will tell you to submit either original or certified copies...but this is just in general, you may wants to look at specific country related and see local US embassy may asks differently and at time not on the general list. Once you has paid DS-230 if done online they will provide a link to NVC which is above and you can go over them again same for AOS too. Below are documents I would prefer send in original + photocopy instead of certified to avoid RFE....but that option is your. 1. Marriage certificate + photocopy 2. Divorced/dissolution documents for both if applied. 3. Birth certificate for both << birth certificate must shown with both parents name and DOB on it >> 4. Justice clearance <<< this is of course must be original no doubt and no need to for photocopy attach >> 5. For IR-1 you will also need to provide not sure at NVC or Embassy at interview....and they are: Prove of relationship between you & your husband...phone bills, photos you taken together, airplane tickets or other you think it may help you. I strongly show photos, airplane ticket when he visit you...others priority come sencond. I show them the photo of me and my wife on new year ...CO laugh his A** out and he didn't even bother to look at anything else and approval our case within 5 mintues during interview. Remember above are just major items other will need to be submitted along too. AOS Documents: If your husband lived in/and work in USA, if he haven't done so, I would strongly suggest to get online or call IRS (internal revenue services) to get his tax transcript for the 2012,2011,2010. A letter from his employer must state >> date when he start, salary, job title. Those three must be on the letter. Pay stub for last 6 months, his W2 for past 3 years. If he need a sponsor than the sponsor must do the same as mention here too. If you are using Asset in junction or whatever the case than prepare to prove that $mula$ in the bank must be 1 year or more with statement and not just few months ago that will not fly with CO during interview. Cover letter: For each package once you paid online, you will need to print out the cover letter that letter contain a bar code so they can scan them upon received or review. This must be attach DON'T FORGET!!! and it MUST be on top of the whole pile of papers so whoever get it don't fumbling around looking for it and they may loose some of your paper or PHOTOS and that you won't be happy. Now another cover sheet is different than cover letter which will be place under the cover letter....Sonjat referring as Documents Content. And for me is written as I cut the cheese get to the point: NVC CASE# USCIS EAC# PETITION NAME: BENEFICIARY NAME: CIVIL DOCUMENTS OR AOS (type one that applied to document) DOCUMENT CONTENT * DS-230 * PETITIONER BIRTH (ORIGINAL + PHOTO) * BENEFICIARY BIRTH (ORIGINAL + PHOTO) .....and this list go on.
