Thanks for the responses, I will follow up. My prior advice was the attitude of don't call us we will call you when I called NVC.

Again, thanks....

I read and see that people get their 'case number'...  our visa app is approved and sent to the Department of State. We have patiently waited and waited....

is there any advantage to having your case number, will it expedite the process????

any info is appreciated.. it is spouse visa from Philippines...

...when I was young, I had to wait for someone.  The wait was excruciating, the situation totally outside of my control... and it was traumatic. At that point I began to consider what I had to do to be able to survive the wait.

I learned that I lived in the present, called 'now'.... and that I could not wait a year, 2 years, or 10. All I could do was wait... 'now'. Time is continuous, the past and future make up our experiences, and hope... but 'NOW' is all I can truly contend with.

This perception separated me from the agony of a 'year wait', reducing it to 'waiting' in the moment. Maybe it was a mental breakdown, temporary insanity... or a 'key'... but ever since then... I have been able to 'wait' and though at times sad, at times angry, I always return to the perception that now is where I live, and all I can truly handle.

I utilized my time to do all I could 'now' so the future could be more promising....  I do not borrow stress from the future, I do all I can.. now.

Just my .02 cents... hope it helps..

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresAOS invoice, and Assignment of Agent

update;

I reviewed the information at the Consulate Website,,

The payment for the AOS had been rejected, I could not see this info until I 'paid' it the second time. At this point I noted the prior 1/23 payment had been rejected, no reason. I clicked 'email receipt' and received receipt immediately.

The assignment of agent had not been 'signed', so I woke my sweetie and she completed it...

Patience is only a virtue is I's are crossed and the t's dotted.... content.gif

I check the Manila Consulate site and review the payment portal that states payment should be recorded in 2-3 days... also it states the 'assignment of agent' is incomplete though complete and available...

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresInformative Tips

THIS thread is just an attempt to assist all who are somewhat at a loss at times as to what is happening, what happened, and what the heck is THAT??!!

My apologies if this is a duplicate thread...

I read the other day of a post referencing a 'payment portal', I googled it... I searched... no luck.

I logged onto the Consulate where my spouse's visa will be processed.. and

I found my 'payment information', my wife's 'assignment of agent' form had not been 'signed', hence not submitted.

These forms had been 'completed' per my perception, and payment made... I had not known payment had been rejected if I had not checked.

The Consulate site has PAYMENT info and an interactive list of forms that are required to be completed.

Any 'HELP" you want to post.... JUST DO IT!!

acroynms explained would be good... RFE? NOA1-2????
