K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresPrinting E-mails..

Please don't hijack someone else's thread.

---

OP, just to clarify:  USCIS will not care about the e-mails that you plan to send, but will pass them along to the consulate, where the issue of bona fide relationship comes up.

TBoneTXMaleEcuador2014-05-14 00:04:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedureshow many pages of chat log?

It's not necessarily OK to wait till the interview to provide information on the bona fide nature of a relationship.  Follow that principle for some countries and it can be a recipe for disaster.  The OP should study the reviews, information, and posts about the Brazil embassy to get an accurate picture.

What happens at the Manila embassy rarely has anything to do with what happens elsewhere.

TBoneTXMaleEcuador2014-05-15 21:56:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedureshow many pages of chat log?

Chat logs, e-mails, etc. are for the consular stage.  USCIS will not care about these but will forward them to the applicable embassy or consulate.

Well before the interview phase, and optimally before filing an I-129F or I-130 petition, one should go atop any VJ page, click "Embassy Info" and "Reviews: Embassy," and study both the overall trends and the recent reviews.  Pay closest attention to the worst stories.  Also search your regional VJ forum for relevant threads, in this case the Mexico/Latin & South American forum.

Welcome to the forums!  The visa is "dead on arrival" when she enters the U.S.  The I-94 is good for 90 days, during which time you must marry.

In regard to your other questions, see the "Adjustment of Status from Family-Based Visas" forum, the "Moving Here & Your New Life in America" forum, and the "Social Security Numbers" subforum.  A lot of good reading will yield answers to your questions.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWhat do you do after the 5 months of wait time?

After you NOA1, your case goes to NVC. You should call NVC now. NVC will send you your NOA2, or may be they already sent it to you. 5 months is too long. In our case, it took two months to receive the NOA2.

1.  Members should kindly refrain from posting misinformation.

2.  Philippines filers should kindly avoid assuming that what applies to them applies to everyone, whether at the petition stage or the embassy stage.

Thanks for everyone's awareness.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresA LITTLE HELP!!!
florlinda,

Welcome (recently) to VisaJourney!  This is a great support group and source of information, and we're glad to have you here.

Here's an important favor that the VJ Moderation team is asking, please:  Around here, when we have a question or a topic, we post it one time in one place.  This is for some important reasons:  first, it keeps all replies intact in one place; and second, it keeps other members from "tuning out" because they've seen the same message over and over.  This is why this thread is being closed.

This thread:
is quite adequate to publicize the petition.  Feel free to read the incoming replies and respond to them within that thread.  However, please avoid reposting the survey invitation in other threads -- that's considered to be "spamming," which is against the VJ Terms of Service as well as common courtesy.

The waiting is the very hardest "first part" of the immigration journey.  Your time will come.  Have faith in that.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK-1 Visa Denied after Interview in Algeria

Take a letter from your employer that states the job is long term and they have no intention to let you go as you are an asset to the company. Borrow the money, fly over and take all the extra evidence and hand it over in person.

...hand it over in person -- to an American.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK-1 Visa Denied after Interview in Algeria

To re-emphasize:  K-1 petitioners can be (and have been) ordered to appear at the consulate and be put through a Stokes interview.

http://www.visajourn...yaquil-ecuador/

The OP had best grab the bull by the horns, set an appointment on her terms and at her timing, and beg or borrow the funds to travel to the embassy.  We all had to do it (at great personal expense and sacrifice), and trying any other method will take many months and very well might prove fruitless.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK-1 Visa Denied after Interview in Algeria

1.  I believe Stokes interview is only for Marriage based adjustment of status, I have never heard of or read about stokes interview for K-1 visas. I might be wrong though.
2.  To the op, I'm sorry that you are going through this, but if your fiancée will be called for 2nd interview, your presence will certainly help. Good luck.

1.  This is very wrong, as those of us who went through the hellhole Guayaquil consulate can attest.

2.  This is very true.  Research plane tickets for yourself.  Get through to the embassy on the phone and insist on talking with an American, preferably the Section Chief of the Immigrant Visa Unit.  Explain your financial circumstances, and insist on a firm date within your "cheap" travel period when you and the CO can meet, face-to-face.  Say that you will not accept being put through a Stokes interview, but you will meet with the CO and answer all questions very frankly.

1.  stokes interview is only done in the case of married couples

2.  A stokes interview can be done for any marriage based visa, not just adjustment of status

http://immigrationro...immigration.php

1.  And K-1, too, most definitely.

2.  True.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresIs this case straightforward enough or do I need a lawyer?

Unless people here know every detail of the OP's situation (which we do not), it's irresponsible and potentially perilous to state flatly "You do not need a lawyer."

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedurescan one take advantage of RFE to add more evidence of relationship?

Receiving an RFE is an absolutely golden opportunity to "side-load" (great term).  Others in your position should be so lucky as to receive an RFE.  Be sure to respond to the RFE itself, of course.  Add the extra material with a cover-note saying "extra evidence for the Consulate."

Comment violating VJ Terms of Service deleted - VJ Moderation

MohammednCrystal:  Part of common, long-understood courtesy on the Internet is to avoid hijacking other people's threads with unrelated issues.

Another part of long-understood protocol is to be civil toward those who are trying to uphold order in threads in a forum.  You're fortunate to be drawing an in-thread warning, rather than more formal administrative action, for your comments, which have been deleted from this thread.

In the future, please avoid violating this, from the VJ Terms of Service:

"Make comments in a Post either direct or implied toward another member that are purposely designed to upset, antagonize, make fun of, belittle, harass, insult, or otherwise instigate an argument that takes away from the personal enjoyment of the Service by other users."

One post has been removed as hearsay that recommends fraudulent paths.  Another post, quoting the removed one, is returned to the thread with acceptable portion retained, as follows:

No. If love is fraud then it will not work. End of story.

You either commit or get out.

If the poster of the removed post can produce the direct verbiage, in context, directly from the attorney who allegedly provided the information, it might be permissible (this is not guaranteed).  Otherwise, hearsay information recommending fraudulent or devious behavior is impermissible on VJ.
