Well I don't know what to say!!!! I just received the e-mails that both my I-130 and I-129F were approved on May 29th. kicking.gif That is 29 days!!

I didn't beleive the emails at first, I had to read them over and over a few times. Then I went to the website and saw that it was indeed true. Both of my petitions have been approved. kicking.gif

This is very good news for the people in the CSC, it looks like they are approving them like crazy.

Also, since I sent both of my I-130 and I-129F together to the CSC, it looks like it is again working for sending both petitions together, at least to the CSC.

I know that there will be people that read this and are pissed about it, but nothing can bring me down right now!!!!!!

Steeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeve! I toooold you! I tooooold you that you'd be the next one to be approved!

I AM VEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERY HAPPY FOR YOU AND YOUR HERMOSA JESSICA!

Are you in BA's still or back in Seattle?! You should celebrate that with her! YAY!

This is handled by the name checks, by USCIS, NVC, and Consulate.

One less thing for you to worry about.

So, how is everybody doing this Tuesday? It's finally summer in full bloom here in Ukraine, so I'm about to get off my laptop and go see the world behind my window. Gotta keep myself busy.

Actually, just found smth to do while we wait for the approval. Will have to go and get all my certificates for the embassy. People, wish me luck with Ukrainian burecracy. For somebody who recently came back from the States, I'm on course for a major culture shock smile.gif.

Hi , I just called the medical office for a medical as my case is / should be complete shortly . Now , the lady i spoke to said i have to wait for my package from the Embassy ? is this correct ? the web site for interview preperation says you can schedule prior to receiving the package ! has anyone had a medical in London BEFORE they received there package from the Embassy ?? i am scheduled for this friday , any advice greatly appreciated .

I would ring again, I booked mine before packet 3 no problems. Just quote your ldn number.

Hi , I called and she asked for my case number which i quoted to her , she then asked if i had received my package , i said no but she has made me a little paranoid about going ! what did you take with you ? all i can see that comes in the package would be the medical questionairre ? i have downloaded that and will take my passport and a photo as stated ! what do you reckon ? was she misinformed ?

I dont remember taking any forms with me apart from the checklist, that i needed to fill in, that may be the reason they are asking if you recieved the packet yet.

Good Luck
Hi , I downloaded the questionaire , i think i will call back to be sure , thanks for your help , Andy .

I had my medical before I submitted the I129f - cause it lasts 12 months from Australia and then later asked the questions of the USC and they said its fine as long as it is still valid.

Be patient with the process. It is slow and frustrating but does eventually come to a conclusion. Try to keep positive thoughts and keep yourself busy and the time will go quickly.

As far as becoming a farmer's wife, I would suggest you get use to rising early in the morning and working long hard days. Farmers in America are hard workers with long hours. Just be prepared to assist him in every way and learn a lot about the process. The rewards of farming can be both monetary and soul satisfying, but it is a hard life.

Having just spent the last three months trying to develop a sleep pattern that includes waking at 4 am and then napping whenever possible inbetween I say AMEN.

It will be tough but I can't wait to be John the farm is just a bonus smile.gif.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHave you used a Lawyer/Law firm and if so who?
As I started this I should probably state we are using a lawyer. It gives my finace peace of mind. I was fully prepared from the outset I downloaded every form in triplicate.

Having seen what the lawyer submitted I have to admit it is cleaner. So far apart from one minor delay I have been happy with their service and response times.

We are using Holmes & Lolly. My favourite reason for using them is our lawyer has been through this process himself and it was from his experience his entire practice changed.

But as I am only part way through the process watch this space smile.gif

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionChanging Interview Date
QUOTE (Nicoxcx @ Aug 21 2008, 12:21 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Yeah I pretty much agree with Laura.

There is a space on Packet 3 that asks something about preferred interview date AND date of wedding & travel, did you fill that in? usually people use that to get a speedier interview, we didn't since we didnt have any concrete wedding plans (venue ect) we are happy to take whatever they have free.

I think if it was further away they might be more sympathetic, but with less than a month you probably have alot of people before you.

Best of luck anyway mate!

Thanks guys, thats what i figured...my process has been fairly speedy in comparison to some people, so im just glad it moving along well. Thanks again. Good luck to all

Im sure this has been covered before...but, after the embassy has scheduled an appointment for you, is it possible to phone them up and ask for an earlier date. I am applying at london and have found out my interview is September 18th, but was hoping for it to be earlier. Anybody tried this before and been successful??? Thanks in advance. Dave

Gaye, it's bittersweet watching them grow, isnt it? I can't believe i'll (hopefully) be starting over again with a new baby! wacko.gif

Yes, bittersweet indeed. Part of me wants to see them all grown up and be successful in their chosen path but another part of me wants them to stay as kids forever.

Ricky and I don't have plans of having another baby... well as of now,.. but we might decide otherwise someday.

Hey Guys! I have a quick question which we have just noticed. Hoping someone can give us advice. On our NOA1 the address simply says the street address without the house number. Any similar cases?? Ideas?? I hope this isn't going to set us back any, not sure i could handle it...help/advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Hi everyone! I believe I am also an April filer! Hope you guys can help control my impatience...i have been checking out load of stuff from this website and found it to be so informative. Keeping my fingers crossed for speedy approvals for all of us, I know how you all feel. I have a question though, hoping some kind person can give me advice on. I filed my petition and stated Belfast as my consulate unaware that they do not take care of these visas. Should I inform USCIS now or wait and see if they are smart enough to adjust my consulate to London? help would be much appreciated...thanks all. Lets the approvals begin.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAdvisory Opinion
Hi! Hoping somebody can help me...

I have just received my interview date for september 18th at the London consulate.

Here is my situation: I have already been to the US on 3 J1 visa's. The third of which was an 18 month J1. On my DS2019 the consular officer checked in between the two boxes for the section "Not subject" or "Subject" to the two year foreign residence requirement. I sent a clear copy of my DS2019 to the Department of Homeland Security and asked for an advisory opinion which was returned and was determined "NOT SUBJECT".

When I submit my documents i.e my police check, birth certificate, letter of intent, should i also submit the Advisory Opinion letter?

Has anyone been in this situation or know of the best course of action.

Thanks in advance. Dave

United KingdomVisa approved, how long until passport delivered?
My interview was on December 4th, 2012 at the Embassy in London and my visa was approved with no complications. It's now 9 working days after the interview and my visa still hasn't been issued, or at least the courier company does not have my passport when I try to track it online. How long have other people who attended their interview in London had to wait for their passport to be returned to them?

I've called the Embassy a few times and they've advised that they can do nothing until their recommended time of issuance is fulfilled (7-10 working days) so I have to wait until after that before I can properly chase it. Has anyone else had to wait longer than 10 days? Any advice and experiences would be a comfort.

Thanks!

Philippinesabout medical
I'm a bit confused about this as well. As far as I'm aware, as I live in the UK I will have to go down to London for this medical and I've read that this needs to be before the interview. Once you receive your NOA2, can you book your medical straight after that or do you just wait? Train tickets are expensive so just trying to book ahead as much as I can. Thank you!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsIts been 186 days NO noa2 still?? whos here waited for 180+ days for their noa2??
I'm just shy of 180 days but that's pretty much in line with what appears to be happening at VSC, give or take a few weeks. Perhaps calling them to chase will help but if they're struggling to keep up then I'd imagine the extra work involved in servicing your request will only make things even slower in the long run. I'd just wait, it'll come in good time but know I feel your frustration.

Randomly, I decided to check the USCIS website just before bed and there it was - Post Decision Activity! I was dubious about posting this when there are loads of you still waiting and I know how hard it is to check and check again and see no change, but I hope my approval gives you at least a little glimmer of hope that things are beginning to move at VSC. Lots of luck for all of you still waiting and my fingers are crossed that the approvals start flooding out really soon! From someone who has just found it, the waiting is totally worth it.
