K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresVaccines for medical exam

You don't NEED Hep A and B for AOS or K1.

Here are the shots USCIS requires (bearing in mind there are age requirements for each shot): http://www.uscis.gov...0004718190aRCRD
This is the table of shots for age ranges (page 3, table 1 - the yellow ones): http://www.cdc.gov/v...lt-schedule.pdf

Ignore HPV and Zoster as they aren't on the USCIS list of requirements anymore.

I don't need the Hep A and B?
that is actually pretty good news, since the other shots can be done in one or two shots :D

thanks for the response! :D

i thought i recognised the approved on valentines day story :D

yep, that's us ^^

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresVaccines for medical exam

Marco had NO shot records whatsoever when he went to his medical exam and they only required him to get two shots: the dktp and the MMR (in dutch it's BMR i believe) I think he paid like 70 euro combined. He is also older though, born in '72- not sure if that matters at all or not lol.

The exam in Amsterdam was a BREEZE! he walked in, had some fun with the staff, got his shots and blood taken, was shuffled to the next building for the x-ray and was done within 90 minutes total. X-Ray was done in less than 10 minutes

Good luck!

70 euros for that isn't that bad for those shots, so if he didn't have anything to begin with (or no records of it) and only had to get those... it sounds like im good :D
thanks for the info! and I added the timeline of us, my fiancee already had it on her profile, so I stole hers  (okay, copied)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresVaccines for medical exam

first off... vaccinations are not required for the K1 visa... they are required for AOS in the US. it is just easier and normally far cheaper to have them done in your own country. if you have the required vaccines at the medical then you only need the first shot out of the series... the rest of the series is marked as "insufficient time interval" on the vaccination form. if you have them done before the medical then you need to have as many from the series as time allows... the day of your medical is the cut off day.

here in the UK anyone aged between 19 and i think 59 only needs MMR, TDaP/TD, and possibily the flu vaccine if it is flu season... not sure what is required in your country though

no vaccinations? Sigh, that is such a relieve... I was already getting worried about having to stay apart for another 7 extra months and I really dont wanna deal with that :P

though I do have another question about the AOS then... cuz I am waiting for my 3rd package now. I intend to go to my physician tomorrow and get information about the hepatitis b and a so I can get them asap. but what will happen if I cant get my 3rd shot (and complete the vaccine) before the AOS? since we only get 90 days to get married and arrange the AOS right after that...

I dont know why holland isnt more mandatory with those vaccines too... I was kind of worried about it since I was convinced that I had vaccines for a disease that well known (hepatitis), but it turnes out to be that im not.
I have the MMR, TDaP, varicella and poliomyelitis.

weird enough "that's about it" =/ sounds pretty little to me...

anyway, thanks for the response ;)

You can get a K1 visa without having any vaccinations, but you will need them before AOS. It’s really wise to take care of it before getting to the US so you can aviold civil surgeon hassles and $$$

The vaccination requirements are based on age, the following PDF from the US Embassy will give you an idea of what you will require for your age - http://photos.state....accinechart.pdf

You must have had your first vaccination of a series at the time of your medical, you don't have to complete the series.

Here’s the vaccinations needed for 19 through 59 years of age (in the UK - should be the same for the Netherlands but you would need to check):

Td or Tdap - Maybe not available in the UK, so get DT, DTP or DtaP and it will be accepted for AOS
MMR (if born in 1957 or later) Get a second vaccination 4 wks later if you have time
Varicella – Not routinely given in the UK ; a history of having chickenpox excuses you from the shot. They take your word for it at the visa medical exam.
Influenza - During flu season only, October 1 through March 31. This was a new recommendation dated November 2010 for all ages over 6 months.

thank you for the response ;)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresVaccines for medical exam
Hi guys,

My fiancee and I filed our K-1 visa on November 14th and we just got our NoA2 in the mail on Valentines day (go figure :D ).

My question goes about the medical exam that I will need to take after sending off the 3rd package.
I think I still need the hepatitis B vaccine because this vaccine isnt given to children with a date of birth before August first 2011. For anybody that wants to get a vaccine for Hepatitis b, they will need a shot at the consult, another one after a month, and the third one after 6 months. Now I wonder that if I need to take the vaccines at my medical exam (I know I'll have to pay), how will that go with my medical exam result?
Does this mean I can pass the exam after waiting 7 months? or can I finish my vaccines in the US?

I REALLY hope there is a solution for this that allows me to pass the test when I have it in the next couple 3-4 months, cuz I really don't wanna wait another 7 months apart before I can enter the US and live with my fiancee :(

Does anybody have any experience with this and know how the process goes?

Thank you!
Mark

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMove within Holland while in K-1 process
Ey guys,
I have another question. I tried searching for it, but all I got was moving to US and not moving within the country.

I have to move to another apartment/room because of a personal situation, but I was wondering what the effect would be of the whole process if I change my address right now. I still have to receive the package 3 in the mail, but to take care of that im gonna stop by the postal office tomorrow and request to hold all my mail at the office for me to pick up personally or send it off to my new address.
But what form do I need to file to notify the NVC of my change in address?

Thanks guys! :D
