United KingdomLondon Medical - Knightsbridge Doctors

I had my medical today at Bentnick Mansions in London; at 10.30.

Dude, you guys are awesome!! My fiance has his interview tomorrow, and I just sent him this link to read in the morning. So helpful to have photos, and know why they are doing what they are doing.

And 3 people this year who not only tried to claim they were of the opposite sex but thought they could make it through a medical?! I suppose it must be a sign of commitment, or desperation, but I just can't believe it's 3 this year!

United KingdomQuestion about UK police report
QUOTE (babblesgirl @ Jan 27 2008, 09:31 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I had to post mine off to West Yorkshire Police as they don't accept applications in person. Three days later I received a receipt from them and confirmation of processing times (40 days). If your fiance applied in person at his local police station he should have received a receipt on the day.

Thanks for the answer. Wasn't what I wanted to hear but good to know. Turns out, that yes, his app was lost in the post, despite the fact that he had sent it Special Delivery! They have it now, but of course it's 40 more days, when he initially sent it in December!! So frustrating, but so helpful to have known that without a receipt there was a problem. Thanks!

United KingdomQuestion about UK police report

Thanks for all the replies.
Cheers,

Hi,

My fiance's been waiting for his police report, and I saw this thread and was wondering, do most people receive a receipt from the police? It's almost been 40 days since he posted it, so I wasn't too worried yet, but he didn't get anything saying they had it. Did most people get something saying the police at least had the application?

Thanks!

United KingdomThe 2008 United Kingdom Interview Thread!
Congrats to all the approvals! It's weirdly out of order, but awesome that everyone is finally getting through.

My fiance's interview isn't scheduled for the 28th, but his medical's tomorrow and that alone seems like a victory after all these months!! Getting so excited - still have to pull some of the support forms together, but honestly it seems so easy compared to all the wedding planning (and waiting, and waiting...) smile.gif

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsMoving!

Hi everyone! I'm moving in one month and my I-129F is approved but not at NVC yet. When should I officially change my address with USCIS? Is there any place else I should submit the address change regarding the application such as NVC, or the U.S. Embassy in London? If so, when should I go about doing that to avoid the most confusion since I haven't physically moved yet? I'm soooo worried this will mess things up but I really needed this move! I'm sure this has been addressed already someplace but I've searched and cannot seem to find an entry relevant to my timeframe. Thank you all and speedy visas to all!

Not a very helpful answer, but I moved 3 weeks ago while our app was at the London embassy, and I haven't changed anything with USCIS or NVC. I looked and it seems you're past NVC now too, so I'm guessing it's going to be about the same timing for you just 1 month after us. We're just filling out the forms for the embassy with the new address. I do worry that it will mess things up, but since we're passed the USCIS phase I didn't see how updating it with them would help.

My point in posting though is: if we do run into trouble (his interview is 2/28) I'll re-post and let you know about it.
