I am sorry you are still waiting....we had to wait about 4 weeks as well to finally hear from the NVC, but it finally happened. I'd give it another few days and then call NVC again...or call CSC again, maybe you get to talk to someone who can tell you, when your papers got sent. Ummmmh... officially I am not affected by IMBRA... we got our NOA1 in February already, and we went through California Service Center. We got processed through CSC and according to that site, we shouldn't have gotten anything yet (we sent the petition Feb 6),but I am already waiting for my Interview appointment. I don't know why those updates are so far behind...maybe we were just lucky because we initially sent the petition to Tecas Service Center and they forwarded it to California. Regards Gomez I read about the Letter of Intend on VJ, but as far as I remember, it was not listed on the Instructions from USCIS when we got our I-129F together. So you don't neccessarly have to get an RFE because of this. The same with the renewed Letter of Intend for the Interview. I think, it is only recommended on here, but not really a must...but this might vary from embassy to embassy. Am I right on this? Please correct me before I am giving wrong information!! Basically it's the more you can show them, the better. We only submitted like 7 photos, from every time we met, two letters, a couple emails...but all our boarding passes when we flew back and forth. Since I was in the States when we sent the petition, we don't have new pictures of us together to show at the Interview, but I hope, that everything together will be enough. We have *emails (not so many since we always talk on the phone), *phone bills (but not with his number listed, just says calls to the USA) *a few cards and letters *photos, but no new ones since we filed the petition *basically all the proof of relationship we submitted with the petition including the boarding passes from all our flights, hotel bills,...) Now I have been reading about another letter of intent from the petitioner (my fiance), do I as beneficiary need to write one too? What about those letters describing how the relationship started and developed, including the dates when we met, when we got engaged...(well, he proposed to me on the phone because he was deployed and I got my ring 3 months later when I went to the States)...is that a must, is it helpful or just a nice addition? For our 2 year dating "anni" I made a photobook with pictures from all our visits and vacations with some nice notes and comments...should I take that too? Because if not, this would be the first hurdle you need to take, if you really decide to file for a K-1 visa. I think, to meet in Canada or so would be a good thing to do, because of the obvious reasons, but I remember when I went to see my fiance the first time, after we met online, I had to answer some really stupid questions at the Immigration office, even had to go to secondary inspection and was told to be careful because "he could be a psycho, trying to kill me". K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	How long	It took a little over 2 months until our petition got approved. After that, things went pretty fast. I hope, you already used the new I-129F forms?? And no, actually it is not possible to visit your fiance in the States. They will pretty sure deny entry to the States while processing your case. I called the embassy with the same question and the lady there strongly suggested that my fiance rather comes to see me here in Germany. I decided to just copy and submit the front of it...didn't have any problems because of that. I figured, even USCIS officers should be able to use their common sense at some point...(ok, was that mean?) I really can't complain, our petition went through as smoothly as it could... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Expired NOA2 on POE??	I asked this same question a couple months ago! The people here told me that the interview needs to take place before the NOA2 expires--but the consulate knows when it will expire and they will grant an extension if they can't schedule your interview in time. The date on the visa is the important date--the visa must be used by that date or it is expired. So, you have 6 months after the interview to enter the U.S. Do you need to have the original NOA2 when you enter? I wasn't aware of that. I agree it's the visa that should count and ONLY the visa. BUT..as far as I understand the process, the NOA2 will be in that infamous brown envelope you have to take with you to POE and hand it over to the Immigration office there. They will go through all the papers and re-check (like nobody checked it before..*rollseyes*). Now there is obviously no "one" answer if the expiration date matters or not, I just would like to be on the safe side...since my form WILL be expired by POE.	nane1104	Female	Germany	2006-06-19 14:40:00

There was a thread a while back about the petition NEEDING to be extended - and stories of people turned back at the POE because it was expired. Makes zero sense but see if you can find the thread and then if need be, extend the petition. Better safe than sorry . . . Yes, I was reading a threat about a POE denial because of an expired NOA2 (supposedly). That's why I started to get worried a little. I always thought once I have my visa, the Petition isn't important anymore. My NOA2 expires 8/20/2006 but I won't leave to the States before 8/27/2006. Do I have to get the NOA2 extended even after I have my visa in my passport? (Interview is June 27 and I hope to have the visa shortly after that.) Any ideas, experiences on that?? It is basically filing for a C-1 or C-3(?), when the petitioner and beneficiary are in the b's country...since your fiance is stationed in Germany, you could have filed through the embassy instead of going all the way through USCIS. I'm not sure why you thought it was. Too bad that you didn't ask about that before now. Wow. Waiting for a K3 after all the waiting you've done for the K1 (not to mention the money involved!) is just mind boggling. Anyway I hope it goes quickly for you this time around. No, of course it is not illegal to get married on a tourist visa, but if the Immigration officer at the airport thinks, you wanna sneak into the country like that and won't accept your binding ties back to Germany, you might be in trouble. Happend so with a friend of mine. She got send back home on the next plane. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	question about passport pictures	2 x 2 inch square http://travel.state.gov/passport/guide/setup/setup_873.html we have had a similar problem.. The pictures we had taken here in the US were 2" x 2" square.. and I read somewhere that the pictures had to be within 30days old .. so we had to have them retaken to send in our package this week.. so we had them taken again when I was visiting him in germany a couple weeks ago.. and the dimensions for the pictures taken in germany were alot different.. rectangular. BUT the face was the same size as the ones we had taken in the US .. just the picture itself was smaller the borders were not as big.. (diminsion wise) SO .. keeping our fingers crossed.. the ones we had taken in germany will be sufficient.. Idont' know how they deal with these pictures when the pictures are taken in europe as opposed to the US Yes, the Standard size for passport pics in Germany is rectangular. I took that little guide about howthey are supposed to look to the photographer, he took my (digital) pic and then sized it on the computer so it would exactly match the requirements. Perfect!! For the petition you might get through with the rectangular, but for the visa itself I wouldn't take a chance. By the way...at the consulate in Frankfurt (if that's what you are going through), they have those passport photo machines, in case your pics won't be what they look for...	nane1104	Female	Germany	2006-06-28 11:57:00
