US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	k1 visa reschedule	My Fiancee had hers on the 20th but they were short with Dr.'s to read the results. So they had her come back the following day for results and immunization. Her interview is on the 26th of Aug and I think she'll be fine.    You should have kept the appointment but I could see your point just to be sure. I got nervous a bit because of the Embassy being closed and all. They do hand you a CD for your xray and results.       I just hope the Embassy can receive DHL packages again, tracking my docs from NVC shows delivery will be attempted again when it opens. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	very disappointed and sad	Manila usually accepts internet communication. The primary thing they are looking for though is proof that you've been together. Dated and detailed photos of you with her and her family are especially important.     Yeah, I hope Manila isn't too strict. Viber is just as good as a land line. I mean our technology advancements are moving in a different direction and they should change with it. Viber, Skype, and Google Talk are all VoIP and is just as good as a land line. The girl in front is scheduled for Aug 27th and the girl behind was scheduled for Aug 26th. At least other cancelled appt people are showing up. Philippines	Can someone enlighten me.	Lol. I keep checking the website also hoping for a miralce it will change. My fiance is coming from Tanauan just a few miles away from Tagatay. I didnt send him yesterday because I felt bad that he traveled thru the flood last week since they made their made their announcement late last Tuesday. He is blaming me that I sent him the notice about the closing yesterday. He says I should have never messaged when you letting you know I was leaving then maybe I could have been interviewed. Hahaha. Haha...with all these happening they should just forget the interviews for those of us that had to get cancelled twice and just give us the visa for all the hassle they are putting us through going back and forth only to find out it is closed. I would have sent my fiance there yesterday but didnt want to takena chance on him getting sent back. lesson learned: NO MATTER WHAT THEY PUT ON THEIR WEBSITE JUST TAKE A CHANCE EVEN IF IT SAYS THEY ARE CLOSED. Philippines	Can someone enlighten me.	I'm looking for an update statement to because of this appointment cancellation. My Fiancee and mom are on standby in a hotel near the Embassy. I thought when my Fiancee called (6am Sunday morning) it was a joke, then I checked the website and sure enough it wasn't. They were getting ready to go to sleep for the big day and then BAM Pork Barrel!   I see an update on the non immigrant page but not the immigrant page. I am almost sure this is treated as an immigrant visa when really it is a non immigrant with intent to immigrate. But as far as I know the IV unit is the one handling K visas.   They are going to take a chance and go at 4am. Hopefully she can have her interview today. I feel bad for my mom commuting from Tagayatay back and forth for medical and interview.   I'm following this site, USEM of manila Facebook, and any other blog site with the Embassy. I checked online out of curiosity what the schedules look like and Sept. 10th is the next available.   My parents who are retired there are booked for Sept 8th to stay with me. Philippines	Interview Date	When I was scheduling my Fiancee's appointment on Aug 19th, there was a spot left for the 22nd, 26th,27th, then it went to Sept. It was random, the 22nd had 2 available and the 26th had 33 available.    You can look at the appointment slots available once you have your case # and register on the site. Philippines	Paying for a hotel in Manila here in the US for my fiancee...	Hotel Soriente , right across St. Lukes, mom and fiancee stayed there. About $35/ night and I booked/paid online from the US. Philippines	Airline Tickets	I was able to book mine online with Philippine Airlines 3 days ago. I had to enter her info (passport info/visa info) and it went just through just fine. Philippines	Questions about SLEC and CFO Registrations	If you are doing the CFO pre-registration form online, it won't let you put anything other than a 4 digit number. Philippines	CFO Completed 9/10/13 and Thanks!	She did for the afternoon counseling session. You can't in the morning,since it will matter what time you are there and place in line. For the afternoon class, she was early since she got there at 7 or 8am. She was able to register for the afternoon class and they gave her the infamous pink ID tag thing. She left after registering and ate at a near by jolibee. Said the waiting area felt like a warehouse and was hot.   I mean the earlier the better. It depends really how busy they are on the day you want to attend. If you come there at 4am and you don't make it for the morning class, register for the afternoon and you should be able to still go that day. You will just have to burn some hours waiting. Philippines	CFO Completed 9/10/13 and Thanks!	She attended the Manila location. She got there at 8am and it was full, she usually gets off work at 7am and couldn't make it earlier. She still has to work till Friday morning because of a proper resignation, so she can get back pay.   Thank you, I'm excited but freaking out a bit. I'm starting to clean the house really well, but too much work.   My parents are also coming the same day she is but on an earlier flight. So i'll be at the airport for 3 hours   Oh well. That was the last update we receive so far..... I think you have just received the NOA1 and not the NOA2. Did the letter or notice say approved or accepted? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NOA2 approved...best way to handle flight preperations early?	I would wait bare minimum until she has been approved at the USEM and they take her passport to stamp it. If she picks up at Mall of Asia it could be there within a week or less.   Please wait until the medical and the interview are done and she's approved.   All it takes at the medical is one Dr. to think there's a white spot on her lungs and she'll be doing the 2 month wait while they see if her Sputum spawns TB. Then if she happens to have it, another 6 month wait.   You guys may forget something very very simple for the interview and then you'll get a 221G (I think) asking for that information, then you'll be out while you wait for the Administrative Processing that happens after you turn in the required forms you forgot.   Take everyone's advice and wait until she is told she's approved and then plan to buy a ticket at least 1 week out if not 2-3.   What do you mean pick up at Mall of Asia? I don't think you can pull that online.   As for the rest, they are all available with BofA online banking. I bought a house a couple years ago and was able to get everything online. End of year statements going back 3 years prior. I just logged onto my account and it's still the same way, just can't find date of account opened. Might be there and I am just not looking at the right spot, but everything else should save a lot of time and $ if they are charging you for researching.
