K-3 Spousal Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsMy file was delivered to the office 4 June 09 chicago lock box
I tracked my USPS certified mail receipt to the Chicago lock box, our package (I130) was mailed 1 June 2009, and Delivered 4 June 2009, yet I have not received anything back, not even the return receipt from the USPS. I wish I could relax. There is no way to ask USCIS unless you have a NOA1 number, and the customer service line (1-800-375-5283) is recorded messages...anyone know a quick way to get to a live person? Is there anything I can be doing to get my wife here NOW? This process is very very trying. Peace to all....Anyone else a June 2009 filer? My wife waits in Pampanga!

K-3 Spousal Visa Case Filing and Progress Reportsif my wife had interview for K3 can we still continue the I 130 also?
My wife had an interview for k 3 at USEM 15 dec, and asked for statements from me, she returned them and now we wait,
Do we also continue to file the documents for the I 130 as well? since we received NOA2 for both at the same time....
So,
Can I still move forward with the cr1/ir1 and the AOS payment ($70) online, Form D 3032, the AOS and supporting documents then send the d230 to the NVC? or do we just wait and wait for this K3?
Thank you

K-3 Spousal Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsBoth Cr1/IR1 and K3 question...
My wife had her interview for k3 visa already and asked for further documentation which we already provided,
as we all know a review can take time...since we also have an approved I130 I am still moving forward with the CR1/IR1...I paid the $70 AOS fee, it showed paid, I submitted the I864 and supporting documents, my wife sent the DS 3032 email and a hard copy fed ex to NVC, we are now waiting for the IV fee to appear on their website so I can pay and submit her DS230 and supporting documents,
She has already had her medical and passed, and is with her passport at the USEM...
My question is:
What happens when these papers for the CR1/IR1 go through and forwarded to the USEM?
She will have another interview, will they retrieve her medical and passport from the K 3 file?
Isn't the CR1/IR1 approval at the NVC?
what happens in this case?
Anyone been through this?

Thank you and happy holidays,

National Visa Center (Dept of State)Form MNL IV 22 and Pink Slip?
My wife was given this form MNL IV 22 and a pink slip...
the documents they asked for were
her passport and a statement from me about my arrest record

I have no arrest record so I wrote a statement that simply stated I have no arrest record.
and she turned in her passport with this statement from me

Now what? and why would they ask for this?
do they know something about me that I dont know?

Thank you

You can call there and see if they received it. I don't remember the number but there is a fee. You should be able to find the number and the fees on the us embassy manila website.

don't believe everything you read on VJ, although most is good info...it is best to always check the facts with USCIS or NVC...if anyone ever has specific questions to their case I suggest signing up for an Info Pass at your local office...

only4 - there really is no more choice, NVC will close the I129F leaving only the I130 to be pursued
Good luck

That is not true...
In our case I also received both NOA's at the same time, I then followed the guides for both routes, the I129f was faster so I abandoned the I130 application process and my wife came in on a k3 visa.
you should not comment if you have no idea what you are talking about...

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresapproved (I-130 & I-129f)

hello everyone.. we just got our noa2 thru email today and it was dated aug. 30..both of our petition has been approved I-130 and I-129f at the same time.. I'm very happy and wondering what are we gonna expect to happen soon..we filed for a K3 visa.

If they were both approved at the same time you should chose which to persue...The I130 will get you the green card in a shorter route as far as paperwork submission but may take a little longer...the 129f route takes a few more steps to end at the same result but is a little faster getting your loved one into the country, then you can be together while filing the rest of the paperwork.
We abandoned the I130 and went with the K3 so we could be together faster...she just got her green card yesterday...
Good luck to you

Wife needed a police report from her home country saying she had no police record, but that was for the AOS, adjustment of status, no such questions were asked after that. But she was the immigrant, I as the sponsoring USC recall filling out the G-325a, but they did not request a police report of any sort from me.

Do you have a police record?

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionLifting Condition

What document we need to prepare for lifting condition requirements?

We just filed our AOS paperwork, We submitted anything that proves we are really a normal couple.
Any joint accounts you may have print the statements, they should have both your names as the account holders, you live at the same address ect...
Any insurance documents that you provide her insurance all the info is the same as above...
If she works, her pay stub and your pay stub, they show the same address
Drivers license yours and hers, again show the same address...
The fun project...my wife used Picassa (the photo app by google) and made "collages" of our vacations, special times, birthday, celebrations...she made 30 different collages! and printed them, she hand wrote the date and the occasion on each collage...
Another thing she did is made copies of all our birthday cards to each other, christmas cards etc...
My wife did a great job on her AOS package...
We received NOA1 the next week and today she received her biometrics appointment, so far so good...
Good Luck!

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 Filed June 2012

We filed I-751 and it was received by the California Service Center June 5, 2012. Our case is still pending. We have tried and tried to get information on our case. We check case status online..."initial review" we called the hotline, the operator said "initial review" so we make an info pass appointment, we go to our local office, the lady types our case number in and states "its in initial review" geee thanks, that is why we are here, we can get that info ourselves online...we waited 3 weeks to go to the infopass appointment, do they do research prior to your visit? NO...they hand you a form and you fill it out and three weeks later we received that same form with a checkmark saying you will hear from us within 30 days...ok, it took someone 3 weeks to check a box and print the words "30 days" and send it back to us...now,

we received another appointment asking us to come back in with ALL our original documents from our application...yeah, ok, we submitted the original documents...so we will bring copies...and why do we have to bring all of our documents? Did they lose our file?

We asked USCIS for an update, they cannot provide us with anything...Our Senator is now being helpful.

USCIS needs a serious update.

Good day to everyone!!!

Me and my fiancee is looking at the courier where to ship things here in the Phil... I was just wondering if any of you experience sending big stuff here without any hassle that we have to pay big amount for customs fee... I have read here before a post like the courier thing but i cant find it now... We wanted to ship big things and we want to use not so expensive courier... I have heard of the balikbayan box thing, but we don't know the courier for that... I'm afraid if we send it through post office, it'll not reach here... Even some of my cards were stolen by the post office,so we don't have that trust sending them...

Thank you in advance for the replies... Its a big help for us... God bless whistling.gif

I used Manila Forwarders it cost $75 per box, they were big and heavy boxes, I sent my computer and household goods, my bicycle, it took about a month but it was cheap and reliable, door to door service. I think it may cost a little more to the provinces but still very cheap.
just google the name...Manila Forwarders, they have a 1 800 number, they will bring you boxes and come pick them up, they are a great service.

PhilippinesFlat rate phone service?
QUOTE (Dogwood_Poet @ Aug 19 2009, 04:06 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I see all these ads for a 'low monthly rate to the Philippines' for unlimited calling. Has anyone used them?

I see some which gives the family in the Philippines a dedicated cell phone and you can call back and forth as much as you want.

There are no land lines to where Kathlene's family lives so that is the way we would have to go.

No land phone means no internet acess as well unless you get the wireless service from Smart and I don't think they reach there yet either.

Or should I just invest in phone company stock and let my wife drive up the profits?

We use Globe, she has one sim card I have the other...she can call using Globes IDD card which gives her 40 minutes for 100p and she can text way cheaper than you. The Globe family plan that we have gives me a sim card here in the states that she texts me on...but there is no cheap way for you to text her or call her...Sprint international rate plan cost $4 per month in addition to their plans, which allows you to call for about .20 per min and each text about the same...the best way to go is get the Globe SIM cards and have her mail you one to put into a gprs g3 type phone, which she can call you anytime for cheap...know anything else?
The phone cards suck always hidden costs....we also have no internet nor land line in PI....but can she get to the internet cafe where you both can see and talk to each other via SKYPE or Yahoo Messenger computer to computer.
Hope that helps

This is not a bash anyone thread.. It is a genuine question if missing something in the culture. I am embarrassed to even ask this.

I give my fiancée 300 american dollars for support each month. It is never enough though. I realize 300 a month is not a great deal, but should be enough to live on or am I way off here? It is starting to really hurt our relationship at this point because within 15 days she has gone through the 300 this month, and asking for more even though have asked her to budget money since I am sadly not a rich man. Would someone please illuminate the situation? crying.gif crying.gif crying.gif crying.gif

Things happen from week to week, day to day, I lived there in PI with my wife and on average expenses can very from week to week...she may have wanted to treat her family to a nice dinner at home or an occasion. I give my wife a set amount each week, but sometimes we have bills to pay also, like electricity, which can run 1000p or more, water 300 to 500p per month, or yes gifts for a birthday, remember christmas season has started there in PI as well, shopping there is sooo busy this time of year...$100 per week is not unreasonable, this ensures if something comes up there is extra cash in her pocket also tell her to save as much as she can to bring with her on her trip to America...if you don't trust her then why on earth would you marry her? a fair question...
Peace to both of you, the wait is very hard on couples and we all should stand up and complain to congress...how would ANY couple like to be divided for 5 months...its 2009, the information age, yet it takes goverment agencies 6 months to take care of ANY business.

I am wondering how they pick cases to work on, obviously it is not in any particular order, nor are the applications worked in order received.
So I wonder, how do they decide on which case to work on, or which file to kick aside.
I would love to interview someone that works at the USCIS department so we all have a better Idea of how things work.

My wife and her son were approved and she has received her visa already. Now I need to purchase their plane tickets. I am in the US, she and her son are in the Philippines. I called some of the airlines to purchase a ticket, but they all say I can not purchase a ticket for her, she has to do it from within the Philippines. I called AAA travel which I am a member of, and they said the same thing.

Is this right? How am I supposed to purchase her tickets? I guess I could just send her the money and have her purchase it directly. If this is the case, any suggestions of where I can tell my wife to purchase the tickets?

Philippineshubby passed the interview!!!!!
QUOTE (andrea4prez @ Dec 13 2009, 11:34 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hello guys! my hubby's interview was just 4 hours ago and im so happy to inform you that he passed!!!

here's what happened according to him:

interview is at 630am, and he arrived at 5 but he had to wait for the parking lot to open at 515. he was waiting in line at around 530 and there were a lot of people already there. The guard announced that people fall in line according to their appointment times. He was inside the building at 6am. Once he was inside, he got a # and he waited for a few minutes, afterwards his name was called for fingerprinting. after that, he was waiting again, after 10 mins, his number was called and there he met the pinay prescreener who was not cheerful at all. she barely looked at my hubby and the whole time her eyes were glued to the paperwork.
PRESCREENER'S QUESTIONS:
- what's the petitioner's name?
- how are we related? - she is my wife
- how did you meet your wife? - she was my highschool classmate
- how did the relationship start?
- when did your wife go to the U.S. - hubby said 2004 to migrate then prescreener said " no, the first time she ever went to U.S." - hubby answered 2000 (wrong! that's actually 2nd time, first was 1996 when i was 14 hehe- it didnt matter that he was wrong though, she let it slide!)
SHE then asked for pics and letters and was told to sit and wait for his number to called.
NUMBER FLASHED and he needs to go to Room 27 -consul time!
The consul was a very friendly american who was smiling and very good mood when she saw my hubby!
CONSUL EXPERIENCE:
consul made my husband swear to tell the truth then questions time:
- what's the petitioner's name?
- what's your relationship with the petitioner? - she's my wife
- have you travelled to other countries before - yes, when we went on our honeymoon!
- have you or wife been previously married to others before - he said NO! (hubby wanted to show cenomar or marriage cert but she didnt want it!)
- when did you get married - july 2007
- do you have kids? - not yet but she is now 4 months pregnant
- when did you last see each other? - last august until september
SHE then returned our pics and my hubby i still have some more here and then consul said the words that made us truly happy - " NO NEED, YOUR VISA IS ALREADY APPROVED. CONGRATULATIONS AND GOOD LUCK WHEN YOU GO TO THE STATES!
she then told hubby to wait for his number to be caled for visa delivery instructions! Hubby was so happy that he said thank you like 5 times and the consul was happy also! He then went to pay the Air 21 fees.
He was inside the embassy at 6AM and left at around 8:15! What a wonderful day!
Sorry its a long story!!! hope everybody will get the PINK too!!!

Congrats!!!
Its my wifes turn in about 5 hours....
She is loaded to the gills with paperwork and evidence but I still am so nervous (for her)...
God Bless us all...have a safe ride home, Congrats again!!!

http://www.latimes.c...0,3606702.story

"U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton on Wednesday halted implementation of the parts of the law that require police to determine the status of people they stop and think are in the country illegally. She also forbade the state from charging anyone for a new crime of failing to possess immigration documents.
Bolton's ruling found that the Obama administration was likely to prevail at trial in proving the two provisions, and two other ones in the sweeping law, were an unconstitutional attempt by Arizona to regulate immigration. Arizona is expected to immediately appeal the decision to the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco."

Ahh yes civil rights win again!

I am glad you are willing to pay for all of these Illegal Immigrants to be in our country. I am not.

PhilippinesFilipinos Against Arizona Immigration Law SB1070
On this Immigration topic:
I am an American who has lived in many countries, all of which have strict Immigration Laws. Everywhere i have ever lived, UK, Italy, Philippines, Kuwait and I have also visited many countries including Russia. If you are caught as an undocumented or with an expired visa of any sort you will be deported immediately, go home to your country where ever you came from. End of story. In most cases you will be fine and not allowed to return unless these are paid and they grant you permission in advance. Illegal is illegal.
You are actually helping illegal aliens by deporting them or having them become legal so that they can earn correct wages and be treated fairly by all government agencies and employers.
Illegal Immigrants are costing us natural American citizens and legal working Immigrants billions of our hard working tax dollars.
The down side of deporting all of these illegal immigrants, who will do all of these job, such as, fruit picking, agriculture, yard working, moving, house keeping (domestic), and all other jobs you are not willing to do even for a fair price. As stated earlier, being legal would require all of these immigrants to be paid and treated fairly which would now increase cost of all these goods and services. But i don't think deporting all illegals would ever decrease your taxes...
I have a problem with giving illegal immigrants anything, they need to be sent back to where ever they came from and charged for their ride home and learn the correct way to file all necessary paperwork and do things as stated by law. I also have a problem with illegal immigrants being given state ID cards and other social services, once they are found as illegal immigrants in any State in our great country they should be sent on their way home.
Illegal is illegal.
The only people making noise about all these Immigration Laws, old and new are either illegal themselves or have family members or friends that are here illegal or they are employers of these under paid mistreated illegal immigrants.
I can't wait to hear all of your great comments.
