Does anybody know about that?

thanks smile.gif

Hi there:
Just be prepare for the waiting,ES embassy is very slowwwww, our case was for CR1 which is a different procedure from k1 in our case NVC schedule the interview(thank God) but still took 2 months for the interview after our case was complete.
Good Luck

Thanks pcana!

You are right, they are super slow!... But Im hoping that they will give me a date soon biggrin.gif

I've heard about people that schedule the appoinment within 2 weeks , so Im just wondering if that is possible for anyone?

It's been 2 months since our case reached the embassy and this seems to get more slow with the time.

I guess theres no other choice but wait sad.gif unsure.gif

Hello again:
I guess the US embassy in ES is one the bussiest, God!!! the day my husband and I ahd our interview it was literally crowed, there were so much people.
Just try to be on top and make sure you collect all the requested paperwork for the interview, you'll be fine and trust me I know how difficult the "waiting" is but Hang in there, I'm sure you'll be hearing the good news soon
God Bless
Abby

Hi Abby!

This whole process has been crazy!

Thanks you so much!
I hope that to hear good news soon.. i need that! smile.gif
Blesses for you too and thanks for your words

Debbie,
My husband never received the Packet 3 (Jamaica). I suggest that you e-mail the Embassy to request that your fiance pick up the packet in person. Once your date has been scheduled, go ahead and make an appointment for your SO's medical. Here is a link of authorized doctors in El Salvador-

http://travel.state....N-0001-0707.pdf

I hope that is information is useful. Unfortunately, most Embassies do not have downloads for Packet 3. That's too much like right! Good luck.

Thanks Mrs Scott

I laready have the medical list, I called one doctor they explained me what i need to do smile.gif

So now you're saying that Gerry my fiance(Petitioner) should/can call the embassy and tel them i can pick up the packet 3 in person?

We are waiting a little longer to see if we receive it, myabe we will wait this week, if we dont get anything then He will call the embassy to find out whats going on.

So the embassy can be stupid and make us wait even longer huh?

we are trusting God and we know he will do a miracle!

Thanks for everything smile.gif

We paid to have packet 3 delivered by courier to Digna's hometown just outside of San Salvador. They sent it by regular mail instead and it took a month.....I should back up....after it got down to the Embassy, they sat on it for a month and then it took another month to get there. When #3 arrived for a second time, the customer service company in Mexico wanted us to complete the requirements for a second time. Watch out for Packet 4, it was sent to me here in the States. I almost threw it out because the return address was from the SAL Fullfilment Org. I thought it was junk mail, but it came with a 1st class stamp and the return address was in Chantilly, VA. The customer service company in Mexico said that it would take another month to resend packet 4, so I had to scan the forms and email them to her and then I spent $60 to UPS the originals down to her. You are at the phase now where everything will look like a clusterf**k and it will be if you have to deal with that company in Mexico. They depend on a once a month update from the Embassy. If it does not come one month, they say call back the next. I spent about $150 to $200 for the services of an immigration attorney down there just to make sure all the paperwork was filled out correctly. After all the ups and downs and the beaurocratic nightmares, it is worth it to see her come off the airplane. That is when the magic begins.

Thanks for your opinion John smile.gif

I will keep that in mind. Im just going crazy about all this waiting!

And for what you say it might take a month or so to receive packet 3!? crying.gif unsure.gif blink.gif

I'm happy everything went smooth on the preinterview,we'll continue to pray it goes all weel for the second one.
my suggestion to you is that you bring all the evidence of your ongoing relationship to the second interview as well JUST IN CASE.. you don't know if you are going to be interviewed by the same OC so play safe here, it won't hurt to carry everything you have with you.
Like I said before I'm very happy for you guys and keep the faith GOD is going to be with you for the second interview.
I hope we hear the good news soon!!!!
Dios los bendiga y estaremos pendientes y orando por su pronta reunificacion!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't worry about them not asking for any evidence of ongoing relationship. Maybe they'll ask for that at the second interview? It'll be even more obvious you're a good and legitimate couple if your fiance is there with you at the next one though anyway smile.gif

Sounds like a pretty good experience. Congratulations! You're almost done smile.gif I'm glad it's going so well for you. Thanks for reporting in.

Thanks snowy...

I know.. they might ask for it on the 27th when we have the second interview... so my little suitcase witth the evidence we have is coming along!!..and also my fiance will be with me biggrin.gif.. thats the most important and real proof that we are a couple for real!!

And yes.. it was a really good experience.. .Im so grateful to God.. cause He helped us biggrin.gif

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsK1 Interview Part 1
HI!

Today I had my first interview at the embassy.
For some reasons the embassy makes you attend 2 interviews instead of 1..
Today was the first one
So the first one is like a pre interview.. the officer check that your paperwork is ok...or if you arew missing documents and also they ask you some questions.

The officer that made me the interview was very nice, she wasnt intimidating at all!

She asked me how did we meet?.. how long have we known eachother... where does he live... if he has kids...and if the kids are depending on him and i said yes... she told me "then you will be 4"....she only asked for the taxes reports and w2... askf for DS156K... and made some more questions... she asked me if Gerry was single or what and i said he is divoreced.. then she asked how long has he been divorced and when did that happen.. and ask for the divorce certificate... unfotunatelly.. for some stupid reasons i forgot the complete divorce certificate and i only has the cover of the complete packet with me... but it was funny cause in the I 129F they have it only had the cover of the divorce packet too.. so she told me that i will have to present that complete divorce thing to the consul next March 27th...

She didnt ask for ongoing relationship evidence... nothing at all!.. the only thing she look at it was the affidavit of support. taxes reports and w2... im still super surprised she didnt ask for ANY proof of ongoing relationship!!!

Is it that good or bad that she didnt ask for it???

I asked if besides of the divorce certificate.. if I need to present any kind of evidence of our relationship to the consul at the interview.. she told me I dont need anything!!!

they give you a yellow page that i will present my next interview...

Well in general the first part of this interview went really good.. everybody was really nice..

Gerry will be with me for the interview with the consul...

Ill keep you updated about the second interview...

THANK YOU LORD!!! for everything!

We had our K-1 interview on the 27th also-but we left by 9:30am-so I guess we just missed you two! I'm so glad to read your story. Its exactly how we felt that day too! Now, four days later, we are STILL looking at each other & saying 'DID THAT JUST REALLY HAPPEN!?!?' smile.gif If it weren't for God's peace we would have quit this process LONG ago-but it is SOOOO worth the wait!!!!!!!

I wish you blessings in everything!

Hi sandozwalker! smile.gif
Wow the very same day but in a different country smile.gif
I know the feeling!.. I know it seems so unreal that after hearing terrible interview experiences.. after all the long waiting.. after all!... we got it!.. APROOVED!... it seems like a dream!...
Gerry already left... he is home now... and this morning when talking on the phone we were still " ohmy.gif.. we got our visa aprooved for real!! "... he stills feels like maybe I was in the wrong room cause it was too easy!... But as i tell him everytime.. It was all God!.. we got it cause this is His will! and He is with us!

And I agree... the waiting.. the frustating moments when we felt like quiting to this process... everything was worth it!.. the joy and peace we feel now its a gift from God! smile.gif

Many blesses for you too

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsK1 Interview Part II
So.. Here I am with the second part of the hisstory!

As most of you know, I had 2 interviews
Interview #1 was like a pre-interview, submition of required documentation.. etc.. I got a yellow page telling me to present on the 27th..
Interview 2 (March 27th).. the actual interview...
Gerry came down on the 25th to be with me at the interview... It was really good to have him here... to feel his support ..
Together, we prepared all the evidence for the interview.. He brought more evidence He had at home... so we had plenty of info to show

The Appoiment was for 12M.. we were at the embassy by 11.25AM... We were super nervous.. anxious.. ... trying to relax was an imposible thing to do!..

So.. one lady asked us (all the people called that day for an interview) to go make a line to check the letter we had and to see if we were on the list... I was the #2!!.. after going thru that checking... we get in the embassy! around 12m...my fiance was not allowed to get in the interview place... so I was by myself but He was outside waiting for me ... and sweating! going crazy! ...

we were told to go and deposit the letter/page we had with the date and time name, etc.. in a window... Around 12.45PM... I was called to do the taking finger tips thing... I sat again... I waited for like 15 or 20 minutes more... when I was called the second time.. this time I was going to be interviewed by the consular officer...

When I arrived to the window.. I saw a young, nice, smiley and good looking woman... around 5 month pregnat ... She was extremly kind and nice.. and here is the interview itself.. sort of

Consular Officer: Hi! How are you?
Debbie: Fine thanks! and you?
C.O: Im fine thanks (she smiled).. So tell me how did you and your fiance meet?
D: We met in a single christians website back in Sept '06...blah blah... 4 months latter... he finally came down to meet me in person.. and since then he has been down 7 times! (the C.O made a surprised face..lol)
C.Oo is this your first marriage? are you single?
D: Yes this is my 1st marriage.. Im single yes...
C.O: and your fiance?
D: he is divorced.. I got the divorce decree with me.. would you like to see it?
C.O: No, its not necessary.. we got all the information we need here.
C.O: What does he do for living?
D: Truck Driver.. works for blah blah...
C.O: Do you have family in the US?
D: No mrs I dont...
C.O: Not even a cousin, nephew..?
D: Anyone ( she smiled at me saying ok gotcha )
C.O: Does your fiance speak english?
D: No he doesnt we speak english allt he time and the couple of words in spanish he knows He has learn from me...
C.O: (She switch from spanish to english)...So you speak english?
D: yes mrs. I do..
C.O: Where did you learn english?
D: Well.. I've been studying for over 6 years already in different places... And im currently studying English Teaching at UCA...
C.O: Then yes, you can speak english... and tell me How many times has your fiance been here to visit you?
D: He has been down for 7 times... and he is actually outside waiting for me..
C.O:Thats great!... so tell me Have you had any problems with the police?
D: No I havent.. cause Im a good girl I said... and she smiled
C.O: Are you planning to go back to US with your fiance?
D: Yes I am.. If I get my visa on time I will love to to travel with him..
C.O: Ok Debora.. Everything is Ok with your paperwork.. and you can get your visa.. Withing a week you will be receiving your visa.
D: Thanks!
C.O: Your welcome
(I walked away but I went back to the window)
Debbie: Excuse me... Did I get my visa aprooved?
Consul: Of course you did... You will get it in a week!
D: Ok!.. Thanks alot!.. and congrats for the baby!

I left the window and I just started running... to go tell Gerry the great news!.. he just heard me running and He knew it!.. then when I was out of the interview place... I was just yelling.. "Honey we did it!.. We got it!.."... then we just hugged and cried together!.. it was a wonderful and amazing moment! heart.gif

Only a few simple questions!!...wow!

Sorry I got carried away!.. but this has been one of the greatest experiences of my whole life!

We spent the rest of the days gerry was here... trying to process everything... and trying to beleive that this is for real!

So for all those who are going thru this K1 visa.. hang in there!!!.. your time will come... I know its hard and frustating... but the time will come! and if you trust God with your heart!.. things will go by smooth and wonderful and super amazing!!!

And always be prepared!

So this is what happened at my intervied last March 27th 12M...
Thanks for reading this! smile.gif

God bless you all..

Im still wondering why they are doing this ... huh.gif mellow.gif ... but you know... is the US embassy.. and I guess they feel like they need to super check everything dry.gif .. but... one time a friend of mine said.. and i think she is right... that when you have a real relationship/marriage you have nothng to worry about.. and they can make you go to 5 interviews and you will still get your visa cause you are prooving them that you have something real.... sorry.. i got carried away happy.gif tongue.gif

Hopefully you will have your interview dates soon biggrin.gif
