CSC Closed for 2 days

Must have been a pretty significant plumbing problem. The CSC is in a government complex that appears to be the size of 4-5 walmarts. How the heck can a large portion of such a building be rendered inoperable by a plumbing problem?

I do not believe it is true. If there were a expedite fee that I could pay, I would have paid it long ago.

Have you heard anything about priority service? I was asked if I had that, then asked how much I paid for petition. Told the person on phone it was 340.00. The guy said that was the normal processing fee. Left a big ??? mark on my face.

Yep. I am in the same boat. I could marry my fiancee and just start my life down in Peru. Right now. There would still be waiting and red tape, but we would at least be together. If we were together, I wouldn't care at all about this idiocy.

I think those on the DACA, are on that program. Is it possible, fair is fair. They should have some type of separation as well? :ranting:

Don't do it. You will have to start over. Look at CR-1 timelines, they are doing no better. We K-1 folks should be reaching out to CR-1 and making a concerted effort at change.

So it's clear, Reason for marriage now. Is to come and go freely in Belarus on yearly visa. Oddly that sounds a bit redundant. Something I can get in Belarus, But Nadia can't get in America. :bonk:

Hi all those with NOA-1's starting in August. I have been calling for the last 4 months to CSC. First call back in Dec. right after Xmas, I was told they were working on July 16th. Ours NOA-1 was July 19th. Now 4 months later they tell me they are working on JULY 18th. All I can do is sit here, and say over and over again WTH :help:

Now I look on and see those that had petitions go to VSC, They are married, working green card, and living the American Dream.

I want to see my lovely Nadia, miss her so very much, but what do I do. I wanted to get visa to Belarus to see her, but also wanted mult 90 day visit, open for a year. Have to be married for that type. All we can get is a 90 day, and must give dates to be used.

Question, Can we get married mid-stream in this K-1 129f process? We want to visit Belarus and marry, Would we still be able to get married here after approval?

I personally would NEVER have done this. Best case scenario he ignores your email. Worst case scenario he moves your file to the black abyss...

The slowdown is ridiculous, I see you filed 6-7 months ago now and that's awful, but as a professional person I would not action your email. My case load is big enough without people emailing me implying they're more important than the other people ahead of them in line. Basically blaming me for something that isn't in my control.

There's a reason for the wait. They're not sitting on their hands. they need more staff, or more hours or whatever. He can talk to his bosses but he personally can't do anything to speed it up.

You are however near the approximate timeframe for approvals so you should get an approval soon.

There's no waiting line. Someone sits and tosses a Lawn Dart. There's no rhyme or reason to the insanity. If you know of a pecking order theory, please do enlightem me.... :bonk:

A rep for our congressman contacted USCIS on our behalf

She has been very helpful. Her phone call yeilded the following information.
- USCIS has hired staff to look after DACA applications. It has not impacted the ability of USCIS to process K1 visas.
- They are processing applications from July 18th.
- When my fiance told the congressman rep that they are processing applicants from Nov. Dec. she replied "that is not what she's being told".

Apparently they are sticking to their story. I have since forwarded her a bunch of information from this website. We will see where it goes.

Did your congressman ask for your WAC number? If so, might some of the people that were approved in Nov and Dec. Could you please share your WAC numbers. The congressman/woman could check for their self. And see what the real facts truely are?

How about someone with that creative writing mind. Puts together a letter to be sent off to CNN,CBS,NBC,ABC. We all copy and paste and send to CNN,CBS,NBC,ABC. It seems When one class of petitioner becomes so favored to the detriment of another, as has happened with the quickly processed DACA petitioners at the expense of I-129F. They might report on this. was there in January. They confiscated all the Vodka that was sent home with me. Said no alchlohol allowed on plane, then told me I could go to store in treminal and buy more which would be permissable.( had to be the airports vodka i recon) Went through my carry on. Only thing that I got to bring home was small can of caviar. Going over, I went through amsterdam, there they took my peanutbutter, shaving cream, colognue ( damn bastards, it was Jiffy crunchy). Flew from Atlanta to Amsterdam , then back through atlanta. Atlanta much better airport than JFK, not all the mess with security.I flew for $900 round trip by going through atlanta on delta. Got my tickets on Expedia out 3 months in advance.

WOW, I came home with two bottles of Cognac, 5lbs of honey, 6 foot long sticks of sausage, and 2lbs of chocolate. Guess I was just dumb. I didn't know I couldn't. Dumb luck,,, LOL...

finally, got my wife's oath done, we are traveling shortly, so applied for expedited passport. got the passport, and the original cert back as well.

so we are traveling europe, london and france and wanted to make sure that the only travel document i need to carry is the US passport, correct?

I got the same letter about a week ago and I filed July 17th. So tired of this - now they are past our date and our case STILL hasn't been 'touched'.

I filed on July 19, 2012. Three months ago was told my Petition was two days. They are working on July 18th 2012. For three months they have been stuck on July 18th???

Received a generic E-mail, explaining how behind CSC is. and not to contact for 120 days? Would be interested to hear any update from others who are waiting, or received same letters.

First, I'd write off to both of your Senators and skip the Congressman.. My understanding is that Senators hold a little more clout than a Congressman.. Not sure if this is the truth but possible. In any case you have other avenues so I would use them. AND hopefully they are Republicans because I'd expect to get them riled about the whole mess. I've always had good response from my Senators.. Congressman many times do not even reply to my letters.

Second, I wouldn't believe this unless you get a direct mailing from CSC. Unless the files are all stored in the basement on the floor I wouldn't see how it would be possible.. OR maybe the sewage problem was actually fire sprinkler system blowing a gasket. Again maybe I am wrong but surely.. CSC cannot be that inept.. OK what am I saying... Sure they are!!! USCIS and CSC have proven this!!! My original petition and entire packet was returned to me, because I had the wrong I-129f (only difference was the USCIS document approval date on the I129f everything else was EXACTLY the same... ). The pages had all been sent through, what I believe, was a scanner. Also a number and other information imprinted on the side of each page. Anyway, I would expect that everything is digitized. If not I would be completely surprised...... On the outside... I hope everyone made 2 or 3 backup sets of every form, page and piece of evidence.. I sure did..

A few months ago I called and spoke to a tier 1 CSR at the USCIS. She calmly advised that the USCIS considers every application when arriving to be in zero month.. You heard it! Zero month.. So I said to her that they needed to change their reporting to advise of this zero month.. She replied why.. because the process typically takes between month 5 and 6 to complete and to expect to hear in 5 to 6 months.. #######??? 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 to me represents between 6 and 7 months.. Now I am not a mathematician by trade so again correct me if I am wrong.. So I asked this girl if I should call the IRS and tell them I only pay taxes for 11 months because I do not count zero... She advised that she couldn't discuss any tax information and disconnected the call.. WOW!! is something broke at USCIS or what??

If the company I work for was this inept and freekin' incompetent.... we would have been out of business years and years ago...!!!!

Question: Should we not expect that the USCIS runs like a business? That there be some type of accountability to someone, somewhere? AND people are held responsible for actions when working for the USCIS? Obviously they don't.

It is my understand that with some petitions. An expedited fee is available, and comes with a time guarantee of service. If the service is not met within the time restraints. The petitioner receives their money back, and USCIS still must process the petition.

it might be seen as a bribe for some but USCIS will also benefit from the expedite fee. more money, more people to do the work.. and in that way if many applicants would go for expedite, those who can't afford for the expedite will at least be able to finish their petition in the estimated time frame since some applicants go for expedite. atleast some how people has the option whether to go for expedite or not. but now we have no option but to wait who will be approve next. we are all stuck and we are just waiting for them to hurry.lol.

I already paid 340 good old american bucks for 30 minutes of work by my Government. I think that should be considered an expedited service. I know it cut deeply into my budget. But then our Government thinks a toilet seat is worth hundreds of dollars :bonk:
