Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionPart 5 - Information about your children
Thanks for the replies. I think I'll go with "Not living in the US" on the form. I'm just so used to writing attachments for every little thing just to be sure. My husband thinks I'm #######. That's not always a bad thing is it? :P

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionPart 5 - Information about your children
I won't need to do this for at least a year (and I'll be lucky to even get my corrected conditional greencard back by then  ) but I thought I'd get a head start so when the time comes I'm not rushing/panicing.

For Part 5 of the Petition to lift conditions on residence, it asks for information about your children... If all my children live in Canada, I still put thier names down with NONE for A# and leave the address blank on the form but should I also include an attachment stating that they live in Canada and that at this time we have no intentions of having them immigrate? Or is this completely uneccessary?

I know it sounds like a dumb question but I don't want to be missing anything relevant when I eventually and acquiring a RFE for it later.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionFiled I-751, received NOA
Well, I went this morning to do my biometrics. Nothing special... They just took my appointment letter same as when I got them done before - finger prints + picture. Dates weren't even mentioned so here's hoping for the best out of this.

Oh! Maguilart, they were playing Peter Pan in the second waiting room (I guess for any kids) - when saw tinkerbell it made me think of you! :P

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionFiled I-751, received NOA

Hi Kearinee,

I just noticed in your timeline that you have received your conditional GC on Jan 12, 2006. It means that your 90 day window to file for I-751 is not yet opened. If I calculated right, it is not until Oct 14, 2007.

Anyway, I'm kind of surprised that you've already received NOA. I think it is a good sign though. Usually, USCIS returns the application without issuing NOA if it is filed too early. Sooner or later, the USCIS will raise the application fee by a lot, so I hope they don't return your application.

If they issue the new green card for you, let us know the good news. Good luck.

I decided not to worry about that whole thing regarding the date. I already did an I-90 and I mentioned in my I-90 that the date my greencard expired was 2 years from the day I moved to the US not the day I got approved, this on top of them having my wrong gender. They did not change my new greencard's expiry date so why fight it? The application says "90 days from when your card expires" so that was the date I worked with. If they bring it up, I'll wait and re-apply. If not.... well it was their screw up from the start so if they give me my 10 year, I'm taking it. If I didn't file, according to my conditional greencard I'd be out of status.

Haven't posted in a while. Just wanted to post an update for any who remember me and may be wondering where I'm at.

04/09/07 - Filed I-751 with NSC
04/30/07 - NOA issued
05/15/07 - Biometrics letter sent
05/21/07 - NOA and Biometrics letter received
06/02/07 - Upcoming 8am Biometrics appointment

Do I dare jinx myself and hope for a correct 10 year GC after my botched conditional one? :P

Watch me get an RFE...

congratulations!!!!!!!!!
But why aren't you able to see it online we are the 29th today so you should have received the card by now????

You'd think that'd be the case but the IO said it takes them a "while" to update the website and that I "should" get the card any day now... It's USCIS, since when did they ever get anything done in a normal timeframe! laughing.gif

I'm just wondering why they gave me a stamp for 1 year and 4 months.... seems a bit odd... is it a sign I gotta file another I-90? wacko.gif

I went today to the Portland OR USCIS office to get an extention stamp and was told I was approved on April 18th! (The website still says my file hasn't been touched since April 3rd) They still stamped my passport and though the IO said she'd only put a stamp in til June 2008 since I should get the card any day now, but when I looked at it later written on the stamp the extention is til August 28th 2009. She also took my expired greencard saying I didn't need it and it was theirs now.

So, yeah looks like my I-751 is approved! I'm not fully relaxing til I get it in the mail though or at least a confirmation email about it. tongue.gif

kearinne, you mentioned sending your passport in for that stamp, can you mail these in for that? Thought you had to make a trip to your assigned field office. Not that I would trust them with any important documents, especially through the mails.

Not sure what's going on now between the USA and Canada, been driving up there all of my life, just like driving to the next town. Except for having a plant in the vehicle, they are real touchy about that, with the winds, why aren't they stopping nature from blowing seeds back and forth across that man made line?

No, what I mean is I need to mail in my passport to renew the passport. The passport expires this year and If I mail it in, I dont know how long it'll sit in Canada til they send me my new one. So, do I get the stamp now, hope I dont need it and mail in my passport to renew or do I send in the passport and hope to god I get it back in less than a month?

Oh and I can't drive to where I travel... My daughter is in Ottawa, Canada and I'm across country in Oregon, US... over 3k miles. Need to fly. Without passport it makes things a bit difficult. Also I'm wanting to change jobs soon... without extention stamp in a passport (or new greencard) dont think I can do that.

I noticed several folks here have said they filed their N-400 and think maybe that has something to do with their I-751 being moved to CSC (or wherever we think they went!). My husband hasn't filed his N-400 yet, but it seems a lot of us in about the same time frame were touched and moved together. All we've received so far is just that one email, nothing like some of you got. In any case he'll be filing for naturalization shortly, as he is also severly limited as to where he can travel because of where his passport is from....

I don't think applying for the N-400 has anything to do with that.

I have to agree. I never filed N-400 but my case got transferred somewhere... hopefully not a new black hole! tongue.gif

At any rate I'm hoping to god I hear something soon, I kind of have a conundrum... . I need to renew my passport but my extension letter expires next month so I'm afraid if I send in my current passport now it won't get back in time to be stamped. So, this means I need to get a stamp in my current passport, but if I get the stamp in my current passport I can't send it in with my application to be renewed because I'd need it with me as it would be my only proof of legallity to live and work here... BUT if I don't send in my passport to be renewed somewhat soon, it'll expire and will be no good anyway, stamp or not and then where does that leave me...

Please USCIS help me out here! girlwerewolf2xn.gif
