US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	I-134 Affidavit of Support does not get sent in with original packet?	Hey everyone. I read the K1 Guide, and its not listed as a form sent in with the original packet. Does the I-134 get sent to the fiancee for the interview? All this time I was under the impression that this was sent with the I-129f package. Seems like this form would be looked at very closely long before a final interview. Thanks everyone! Canada	DS-160 Printed Confirmation but not the actual form?	Thanks for the response. Really appreciate any input! I think i'm just going to send in the confirmation page. I've been reading and some say to bring the confirmation page and they can pull it up and to NOT bring the forms. I'm just concerned because the sheet I got in the package says to complete and return "DS-160 one copy available at Htt://blablabla.com". I guess technically I DID "return" it. The internet way. I've been reading all over the place and it's all confusing. Even the information they sent in the package wasn't clear. Maybe it's just because i'm so paranoid about EVERYTHING. I'm so worried any tiny thing done incorrectly could possibly result in months of extra waiting. Seemed odd to do the online DS-160 thing AND fill out DS-156/K. They were exactly the same forms. I know everyone is trying to convert everything to the internet. Online applications and forms. I was so annoyed I couldn't just print out the DS-160 and fill it out with a pen. I looked for hours sure I could download it somewhere. lol I don't think one should have to rely on a computer, internet connection, printers, etc... etc... in important situations like this. I myself had two major errors using the online service. Wasted an hour filling it out only to be timed out somehow, and then wasn't able to print out the completed form. I've got another question maybe someone can answer. I went out today and got 6 passport photos. 3 will be for the medical. I got my date for the exam today as well. In the package it says 2 are needed at the interview for the visa process. The DS-156 that I filled out in duplicate has a place that says to attach 2 photos, which I did. Are those the two that will be needed? Or do I need to bring two MORE passport photos!?! lol That's a lot of pictures floating around! Thanks everyone! Canada	DS-160 Printed Confirmation but not the actual form?	Hey everyone. We got our P3 and i've spent the afternoon getting everything ready. I got online and filled out the DS-160. Was pretty aggrivating. Got to the VERY end, and then it said I was timed out even though my computer didn't sit for 20minutes like it warned me of. So I filled it out again, printed the confirmation, and then suddently as I pressed "print form" my computer froze, and then had to quit. Did I need this form printed out? Do I need to fill it out again to get it?? I did get the confirmation page... Do I need to send in the form with the packet or is just the confirmation sheet what's needed? I THOUGHT I was supposed to call the DOS for see if a date was appointed yet? They said they didn't have record of my petition? lol? So they sent my call the NVC who said since the DOS had my paperwork for such a small amount of time, they didn't have my records? Anyway, they told to me to call Montreal? Canada	Driving in Canada	I cross in both Detroit and Buffalo and have never been asked for anything concerning my car? Once, they did ask who's vehicle I was driving, I said it was mine... that was that? lol. I do always keep my registration with me just in case. Anyway, that's my experience atleast. So happy that other people's cases are moving forward, but at the same time you're thinking da*n, what's going on with mine here!!! Wow, 5 months IS a long time... Surprisingly, I did not freak out, instead chose to be po'd that it's a Tuesday (so will have to take 2 days off work), and obsess about the fact that I'm not planning to move until mid-December soooo no visiting my fiance in between. That sucks. He'll stil come up here, but I've come to really like Baltimore, and that's a long time not to visit... There's just no pleasing me is there?!! Brenda! Congrats! Canada	giving up hope for Aug.	It would take something like 5 days to drive to Montreal from Vancouver. And, if I did go into labour, odds are it would be in the middle of nowhere. Bad idea. Many airlines don't allow pregnant women to fly after 36 or 37 weeks gestation. Plus, my doctor has told me not to fly after Sept. 1. I sent my doctor's note to NVC, which forwarded it to the consulate. But they just do not give a damn. C. oh I miss-read. Sorry things are so stressful for you now. Canada	Co-Sponsor Evidence Required for Interview?	To be on the safe side, we're using a co-sponsor with the financial support aspect of our application. We're currently waiting on our packet 4 with our interview date, so we DO see the light at the end of the tunnel! Last stages of double checking, and making sure we have everything we need. What evidence do we need to gather from our co-sponsor? We have: - statement from the co-sponsors bank showing balance and deposits for the last year - statement work stating full time position, salary, hours, etc... - I-134 affidavit of support filled out Do we need anything else? Please if possible, give a list of all documents needed? I've tried searching and can't really find anything specific? Do we need her W2's? Do we need to prove the co-sponsors domicile? Some have waited longer, some much less. Seems they kind of schedule in clumps. So who knows... we could end up getting a date at the same time! You can call the Department of State - 202-663-1225. Good luck! I just had a stressful day at my doctor trying to sort out my medical exam issues. I didn't mention it in my review, but the doctor at my medical exam detected a slight heart murmur. I guess this is a big deal for immigration because they put my case on hold until I receive furthur testing. Urgh. I wasn't even aware I had a heart murmur! Neither was my doctor! Today she checked me and couldn't find one! This isn't good enough for the consulate however. I have to get an echo heart exam and have everything faxed to the civil surgeon ASAP. Thank god I gave myself enough time before the interview!!! I hope you're all having a great summer and not stressing out too much about the interview. Thanks Rose - I think we'll get a date soon. Maybe it will be early Sept?? LOL, and actually we call DOS EVERY day! lol I figured it's a good way to show them we're still waiting "patiently" I'm so sorry they snagged up your medical. It's nothing to worry about... they did EXACTLY the same thing to Simon. "Heart murmur"? Canada	K1 Visa Entry... Can I get an American Drivers Licence?	Hey everyone. I've got my K1 interview September 29th! When I enter the United States, and get to Alabama my new home, can I go and get an American drivers license right away? I live in Toronto where it's not as necessary to have one due to public transit systems. I have a G1 license. Had my G2, but it expired years ago and never bothered to get that far again. Anyways! Whats the process? Do I have to wait any amount of time? Surely I don't have to wait till adjustment of status is done? Or do I need to wait till I have a Social Security Number? In everyone's life, at some time, our fire goes out. You speak as though your 90 years old and at the end of your days? What did you say you are? 30 right? I'm pretty sure you aren't really out of the prime of life quite yet! You are NOT withered or senile, therefore, the possibilities are endless and astounding, you just have to stay open to them! And you may have to make an effort to reignite that spark. You have gotten a lot of exceptional advice from a lot of people here. My advice is to pay attention to it! Canada	Next batch of K1's waiting for interview in MTL	hello everyone! I have been lurking in this forum for quite long time. I got my date via mail last week ^^ I am still digesting the information. lol My fiance told me NO to harass the DOS too often. He said someone did and their file got low priority to be process. Me being a good girl, I only call once a month since I work, cant call long distance at work and my fiance refused to call. LOL For those who are waiting, don't worry. Once you sent back the P3, you get an interview date in ~60 days. I started my process on Jan 25th 2010, got a RFE (because my fiancee forgot to sent his biometrics forms. lol), P3 on april 28. I sent back the p3 to the consulate 1 month later, because I need to do the DS-forms where there is Internet Explorer and a printer ( <--- workplace) Keep it up those who are waiting! Will be soon!
