Help!
Hes leaving in less than a month for deployment for a year and i need to file roc in march. Are there things he needs to sign, can he do them now or is it too early.. will the forms still be valid in march?
Here are the docs i can think of that i need from him:
Copy of DL and mil ID
Copy of orders
Copy of POA
Copy of life insurance from military
Joint tricare insurance

Was i supposed to have a passport/bc copy because the army took it already :/

I wish I was more prepared but I am also pregnant so Im really stressed. Will it matter that he is missing the birth of the baby?

I would appreciate any advice/ recommendations for documents we can prepare while he is in country. Thanks!!!

Please clarify this: The Army has taken your passport???
Please explain the reason and circumstances about your passport???

I was "Over there" in 2003 and we had Email, Telephones, Computers, Faxes, Scanners, Printers, Copiers, every thing needed to handle any and all administrative needs. Also had lawyers to advise and assist. There is DHL and FEDEX and Post Office regular mail and tracking certified mail too.

Do you have a specific question???

Mr Pangga :)

Philippineshelp with regards to cenomar
Thanks Hank_Amy for the reply. Sorry for not so precise. It's still been 6 days my fiance got home from his visit here. He's still at work now. I got my cenomar as requirement for work abroad. Thought I could use it for our application but found out that cenomar has validity. Thanks for the links :)

Philippineshelp with regards to cenomar
Hi, i'm newbie here. I'm preparing now all the documents needed to give to my fiance for our K1 application. since this is fiancee visa application i would assume that i am required to submit Certificate of No Marriage and NSO Authenticated Birth Certificate. I do have these documents already, however the CENOMAR was dated Dec. 14, 2010. Do I have to submit the latest CENOMAR and NSO Authenticated Birth Certificate or not? In the guidelines it does not state i am required to submit birth certificate and Cenomar. But I have a friend before who applied the same and as far as i can remember she gathered above documents. Any advise will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Philippinesenlighten me plsss

You can apply for a new passport "if u want".:-)

I thought about that before but my fiance thought its not good idea. Being truthful and honest is the best. We wanted to have an honest relationship and to always tell the truth. I just hope during interview they won't judge me because of my past failed relationship.
I had called the Royal Norwegian Embassy and inquired about the status, (expecting my ex fiance had cancelled already) unfortunately its not. So i had written a request letter to cancel it just in case.
Thanks for the input VJer's :) really appreciate it. And most especially for not judging me. Really appreciate it. God bless us all VJer's. :)

Philippinesenlighten me plsss

Considering it's been over a year between the break up of the first relationship and filing for the second, I doubt there will be major issues, but they may ask you a few questions at the interview.

Thanks Penguin_ie for the reply. at least i don't have to worry that much about it.

Philippinesenlighten me plsss
Once again i need your help VJer's.
Year 2010 I applied for fiance visa in Royal Norwegian Embassy in Manila, Philippines. Dec 28, 2010 the Norwegian Embassy stamped on my passport they received the application. January 2011 i received a text from my fiance that he's together with his ex wife again. I wanted to cancel the fiance visa application but going to Manila is a bit expensive. And so i let it be.And moved on. October 2011 i met my current boyfriend online. He visited me Feb 2012. And we're together for 3weeks. Now he's back in US and going to fill up I-129F, then i can apply K1 visa. My concern now is, will the stamp on my passport affect my K1 visa application??? My fiance advised me, if ever CO ask me about it, is to tell the truth which i agree totally. But I'm also afraid they'll make it difficult for me then.
Please VJer's help me.

PhilippinesRFE .. . hard copy received today

[

Hello everyone its was a big surprised to received RFE when you have send all the needed papers and requirements . . and all they want is an ID picture of my husband . . but i guess they have overlooked it with all the papers . . we are sending back RFE tomorrow i hope it will be faster this time . .

Just an idea that might help others. I stapled a second blank page to back of the G-325A. The Second Blank page I had again stapled a ZIP=LOCK BAG and then added the Photo In the Zip Lock Bag. This should help them from losing the tiny 2" x 2" Pictures! HOPE THIS HELPS future filers! :) Mr. Pangga

PhilippinesFinances and Such ... Philippines

Woooo good timing on this topic.. We had a knockdown drag out on this money topic. All is well now and we love each other the more we learn and openly discuss items. My fiancee works and earns. She did take a little bit less paying job in March so I told her I would send her $50 a month to help cover her internet and food. She really only needs about 25 5o offset her wage difference but I cannot send less than $50 unless someone knows a different route versus Xoom or WU???

She is oldest and now gives her parents 500-1000p monthly.. I am okay with this and will always budget the $50 to send there even when she is here. I have learned to always make, really anyone but Filipinos in generel believe 1000p or 20 dollars is alot of money.. And with family 5000p at Xmas is enough as it is more than double what they would have been able to celebrate with. Now if I hit the lottery or get back to my 2010 wages then we can afford to do more but still not spoil. I explained to my fiancee that we need to put back money here in reserve for her parents medical and for her (my fiancee) to have airfare in the event her folks get sick or worse. Now her parents are not old so we have time,,,, but one never knows.

We do openly discuss budgets. She has viewed my budget and understands. We have even discussed HER saving as she wants a baby. I am 46 and raised my son's but will go along with her wishes as I love her. Cheapest to do invetro is in Vietnam as I had vasectomy (how did we get off topic lol) so she needs to work and save $5000 for this.. Covers it all even airfare....

As for shopping. GoodWill has great deals on name brands. My buddies filipina wife loves to shop there..

Okay we have now covered BBQ which I love and vascetomys lol... I pity the nice man that started this post lol....

PhilippinesNeed a little more advice please.

Hello all, an update from my last post. My girls NBI came back and it's all good - yea! But now of course there are other problems and I have some new questions.  My girl has never gotten a philhealth card or SSS card in the Philipinnes and for years has been using a postal ID to get around (she has worked as a live in nanny forever and never needed anything other then the postal ID).  When she went to apply for her passport she was told she needed the philhealth card, a SSS and even a student ID to apply, and the kicker is she was told it will take 3-4 months to get these, and then a another month for the student ID - ouch!!  She got real confused and frustrated and of course I'm back home and no help at all.  My question this time is are these time frames real?  Was she told the right information? Are there any other ways to get these documents quicker or am I just stuck and have to wait?  Any insight about would be great.  My girl has zero experience with this stuff and is just relaying what she is told.  Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't know if this will help. Base on my experience 10yrs ago, you only need to present at least 2valid identification. It could be student ID, SSS, Philhealth, sorry i cant remember what else. But on my experience i didn't have SSS, Philhealth nor student ID. I presented my postal ID, yearbook with my photo and name on it and address, NBI, NSO Authenticated Birth Certificate.
My advise is you ask your fiancee to go to BIR-Regional Office in Mandaue and get her TIN ID.. i got my TIN ID very fast. Just don't be shy to ask someone there. Then ask her to go to Philhealth Office. I got my Philhealth in a day. I just filled up a form and payed at the counter Php1200.00(in my case i opted to pay 1 year advance).. You can register online also in Philhealth but i advise to just go to their office and fill up PMRF form and pay.. Sorry if this is not complete. But i hope i had given you some idea. Better yet she can go to DFA and copy the list of requirements there.

Philippinesmilitary spouse..

any military spouses there who tried to apply you on DEERS?

my husband tried to apply me on DEERS but they didn't accept our marriage certificate. we got married in the philippines and that's the only copy that the National Statistics office is providing they said it looks like it was just photocopied. any experience with it? he wants me to apply for a military ID. do u have any idea if i can acquire a letter form the National Statistics office proving our marriage certificate is original and authentic? thanks. :)

Last time I did that it was 1984 and it had to be an ((Original with Original Stickers, Stamps and or Raised Seal Stamping too)). Photo Copies were not allowed then and I am sure this is your issue. Have to get an "Original". A good point to those getting married soon is to get 2 or 3 ORIGINALS and keep them in separate and safe places. DEERS process is very fast and instant as soon as entered, then ID Card will be next step. GET ORIGINAL and you will be all set. Good Luck :) Mr. Pangga.

PhilippinesAny K1V applicants been asked by CFO like this?
Conservative Americans do not like giving Governments (including ours) Private information or having our Families being harassed by Governments. If they are not going to call these numbers then why do they ask for them? Unfortunately financial institutions have used Mother Maiden Names in the past as a security measure and hackers know this (Sadly).

The reason for a cut and paste was to ensure accuracy or information was maintained.
My comment about "Bullstuff" was directed to the (CFO & Government) and not toward the original poster.
Sorry if I caused any miscommunications.

Thank you and God bless :)

PhilippinesAny K1V applicants been asked by CFO like this?
too bad my Pangga was misunderstood. He's asking any K1 member beneficiaries if they were ask same as above during CFO seminar. Above is from a vj member's experience posted to fb. As his fiancee i told him that a vj member CR1 application was asked for her mother in law's maiden name. For him he thinks it's ridiculous.
Pls can anyone explain if its normal to be ask for mother's maiden name and other relatives phone number on CFO seminar.
Above its in tagalog coz its quoted from someone's experience and he don't want to be misquoted.

Sunshine.

PhilippinesAny K1V applicants been asked by CFO like this?
Cut and Paste from a Filipina doing CR-1 Visa and NOT a K1V in the "Quotes"

"Hi mga sis! So eto na yung kwento about sa CFO experience ko kaninang morning :)

July 9, 2012.

So sakto lang na luluwas rin si Tita to visit my cousins who are studying in Manila. Mahirap ng makipagsapalaran lalo at first come first serve sila and no appointment system. But then hndi kami pinabayaan ni Lord, nakarating kami ng safe. :)

We arrived at exactly at 6am. Actually paopen palang si mamamng guard nun then we just asked him kung don ang office ng CFO. Kasi kung titignan nyo don sa website nila, hndi yun yung building talaga nila. Maliit and medyo lumang building na parang kombento sya. So pasok kami and yes! As in kami palang. Hehehe.. Lol.. Haha! Ayun, around 5 or 10mins to 8am, nagstart na silang magbigay ng registration form. Pagpasok sa office nila may mga counter. First, they will ask the requirements which are the following: PASSPORT and VISA (if meron na), MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE (if married na), CENOMAR (if fiancee palang), then 2 valid ID's. Make sure to photocopy each ng 2 copies. Then after icollect ng girl un, they will ask you to write your details don sa logbook nila. If I'm not mistaken 200 lang andon). May room alloted for you guys na dapat don magfill up. So sulat sulat.. And then land line and cellphone number ng asawa o mapapangasawa mo. They need 4 numbers. 4 numbers meaning, sayo, CP and Landline nu,mber mo, if walang landline, 3 immediate relatives mo. Ganun din sa asawa mo. So dapat hndi lang number nya ang alam mo. Ok, so after, may mga facilitator na lalapit sayo. So since kulang pa yung sakin, nagpaphotocopy ako. Hehehehe.. After that, they will ask u to proceed sa filmviewing area. sa second floor yun nung room kung san kau nagfill up nung form. pagdating don, yun na yung seminar mo. may facilitator na magseseminar sa inyo. so una naming ginawa was pakilala isa isa then share ung love story nyo or kung paano kayo nagkakilala ng partner mo. Iba ibang kwento. But mostly sa Internet nag umpisa.. :))"

THIS PART blows my mind: "TAKE NOTE: Dapat alam mo kung ano ang Last name ng mother-in-law mo kasi ialalagay yun sa form. And then land line and cellphone number ng asawa o mapapangasawa mo. They need 4 numbers. 4 numbers meaning, sayo, CP and Landline nu,mber mo, if walang landline, 3 immediate relatives mo."

Mother (Maiden Name is used by hackers)!!! Are they planning on calling my very old mother here in the USA and calling 3 of my Relatives too??? I have never seen any CFO experience posted in the K1V section like this??? Is this a CR-1 BULLSTUFF?????

Mr Pangga only can read the English parts LOL.

PhilippinesHow did you earn your first buck?
the first time i earned money was when i was in 3rd grade and i sell in school. I bought a pack of menthol candies for Php3.25 and sell it and gathered five pesos a pack. I made Php1.75 a pack. Then it get bigger i sell chocolates, biscuits. Back then it was still allowed to sell in school. In 5th grade i thought of cooking my own product so i made yema and maja blanca and sell it in school. Then in high school not anymore allowed to sell food in school so i buy stationaries and sell it on my classmates. Back then writing letters and philately was so popular. Always grabbing the chance whats "in" just to make money. Then time comes that not anymore allowed to sell anything in school so had to stop selling.
Its just so good to reminisce selling during class and my classmates were always so excited whats in my bag. :)

PhilippinesBooking A Flight

Anybody have the issue with buying a ticket from the Philippines with a credit card if the card holder isn't flying? I keep getting told that my fiancee won't be able to fly unless the CC used to buy the ticket is hers and she has it on her when she checks in.

Shawn,
I have seen post where USC purchased a Delta Ticket from the US and on their website, but then had to go to a nearby airport and show it ID and CC to Delta Ticket Counter and they then released the ticket for his Fiancee to fly here with it. I suggest search using keyword "Delta". Good Luck to you. Mr Pangga :)

Now that we have established Herseys is a GREAT chocolate and not cheap in my book either do not look past the keyword MINI's. I like the Mixed Variety Bags, they are individually wrapped so no other fingers been on them while trying to break those large Bars into smaller sizes. Secondy what do kids do when you split something? They look to see which one is bigger! This way, no fingers and all same sizes :). Also the MINI-Peanutbutter-&-Chocolates (Reeses) are VERY POPULAR with the Adults Too and ME!!! LOL :). I froze 5 Bags of Mini's then wrapped in news-paper, 30 Hours later they were PERFECT condition to eat.

PS: Do NOT forget the UNO Card game, found at WALMART $4.00. Stay with Original UNO for now ;)

Kevo,

Awesome I wish I was going with ya. Now let us get to some reality. You can not carry more than 3oz containers of liquids upto 1 QT size in Carry On. Yes you can carry more in Checked Bags at those lovely checked bags fees :(. Replace Colognes and perfumes with Scented Deorderant Sticks Solids. You can buy Hersey Minis Bags and freeze them (mine lasted 30 Hours) wrapped in Newspaper. Also Multi-Vitamins for Men and Women are gifts that keep giving about 250 days (wink). Coffee is adored over there so you can buy Coffee Bags similar to Tea Bags (Very Popular with Tatay, Nanay, Lola & Lolo). Last but not least my ALL TIME FAV is to buy a Deck of regular UNO Cards. If several relatives neary then 1 Deck of UNO Cards for each Household. You will be MR GAWPO regardless how you look LMAO!!! Hey Kevo have fun and be a repectful Kano :).

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsIs this NOA#2, too fast???
Hello VJer's :) My fiance called USCIS and they told him it was just a 2nd notice of receipt with an Alien number on it. Well at least its good to know it making progress. And they said there's no changes on date so it won't be delayed.
Thanks and God bless everyone.

NOA's are now printed on plain bond paper.

Thanks for the link reginakrys. I wonder why we got I-797C twice and on 2nd it has A# (Alien#) but without the magic word "Approved".. Hope there's someone out there with same experience. Ugghhh wish its monday already so we can call USCIS..

your situation is hard to say. You note the second I-797C is not on security paper. And looks nothing like a Notice of Action. It could be a duplicate notice. But either way I would be on the phone to USCIS asking what the letter I got in the is, and what it means. Also asking if there is an RFE, or is there a hold while checking evidence, or is the case pending on a desk, or is an ajudicator assigned to the case. You could have approval, you could have RFE or you could have nothing. The case could have moved from one ajudicator to another causing a second issuance of the first notice of action.

But calling UsCIS does not hurt. the key is asking is the case approved, or still pending approval, and if there is a request for evdence is an issue with ajugication. Ask for facts only. Best way to get answers.

Yeah Pangga will definitely call on Monday. Today's Sunday here in Philippines and Saturday night in his time. I just hope its not something for an rfe.. Thanks guys, we'll come back here and let you know what ever that is.
God bless.
