USCIS Service CentersCSC??????
I had just contacted my Senator and the turnaround was really quick. I heard back within a couple days that they were going to contact the CSC and then in just a few more days they had a response from the CSC. You can search for your states contact info online. I wouldn't say it was really very helpful, but like others have said, you're doing something! At the very least, it feels productive.

USCIS Service CentersResponse from Senator

I contacted our senator and was passed on to his immigration liaison. She was incredibly helpful. She told me to stop calling the USCIS 800 number because they know nothing and they will just make you crazy. She also contacted an officer for me and two days later we had an RFE. Coincidence? I doubt it. Our NOA2 came yesterday, a week after they received our RFE. Keep your heads up guys and contact your senators...maybe you will have the same luck we did!

Do you know who you talked to or remember the number you called? I see we are both in WA. I had filled out the privacy release form and faxed it in and then communicated by email with them after that. Your method sounds more effective :)

USCIS Service CentersResponse from Senator
I have just received a letter dated March 5th, from my Senator. I had contacted them just last week asking if there was anything they could do or if they were able to get any answers for me. The CSC response says they are experiencing longer processing periods than normal and are currently running at 9 months from the date filed.

Of course all cases are different and this may or may not be helpful, but I thought I would share.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsFrustrated with the wait....

Skim,

When we were at the point you were (5.5 months), that is when I started to have a freakout. But then I calmed down as I slowly realized we were going to pass Month 6 and Month 7. Chances are you'll be waiting for another few months. Most people are, especially at CSC. I've seen a few people get approved from September, but most people from late July and all of August haven't been approved yet. CSC froze for essentially 3 months and has barely shown signs of life.

Today is 220 for us. Last year at this time, CSC folks were getting approved at around 100 days. I would consider myself lucky if we heard back this month.

It's infuriating, but there's nothing we can do about it. We just have to wait.

This is spot on. I also struggled with the process right around the time we thought it should be ending. I have since settled back in to the waiting game and now don't have that "any day" attitude, which really helps time pass a bit easier.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsHow long did you wait for your RFE hardcopy?

I'm just writing to make sure we aren't alone on this one..... been waiting nearly 2 weeks for our RFE to arrive in the mail.  I'm no postal service expert, but I do know it doesn't take this long for mail to travel from California to Washington State.  It's no shock that they didn't mail it when they said they would but I was hoping to be pleasantly surprised.  So what's average?  How long did you wait for your hardcopy to arrive?
