Suggestion :

Why shouldn't we try altogether to find a way to prove USCIS error. This will make us all benefit of Expedite Process.

Yes, our senator had that response, and I believe many others have had it too. I think it's just another email that says "Hey, we're behind, we need more time".

I THINK others have since been approved after receiving this email.

I don't mean to rub it in, but it's going to be 74 and mostly sunny today B-) -Yet one more reason I'm hoping you get to cross the pond sooner rather than later

About the over-calling thing- I've heard elsewhere as well that we may need to be judicious. I've scheduled a teleconference with an active immigration attorney this evening, I'll ask him if he's heard anything about our CSC-TSC batch.

I'm also going to contact a Congressman today and see if his office can help.

Wishing for the best for all of us :)

I don't mean to rub it in, but I'm going to have lunch with a co-worker and drink a nice glass of delicious French wine!! It's her birthday :P. It will allow me to forget TSC for a couple of hours.

Ran across this i THOUGHT IT WAS FUNNY

Why is our I-130 petition transferred from california service to texas service center?

"A good thing that your case got transferred to the texas service center..."

BIG JOKE REALLY ! ! ! :bonk:

This is what someone with a similar experience posted on another forum: "Our case was also transferred from CSC to TSC. When it first happened a few days ago before I started reading this thread, I sent an email to a friend of mine that specialized in immigration law. Here was her response: "This is a good thing that your case got transferred to the Texas Service Center . In our practice, we see cases being transferred to another Service Center because the Center that has the case has too many cases, and they need to transfer cases out to another Center for faster processing. " Additionally, I spoke with a USCIS agent at the local (Minnesota) USCIS office about a month ago and he explained that I-130`s go through several departments for approval. I understood him to say that one agent doesn`t work on an individual petition start to finish but that different departements review and approve different aspects of the petition/I-130 (i.e. one for citizenship of petitioner, one for fraud, one for legitmacy of relationship, etc.) The USCIS had received our I-130 about 2 months prior to this conversation and, at the time, the only posting on the USCIS website for our I-130 was the receipt date. There were no other indications on the USCIS website as to where our case was in the process or that it had even been looked at. The agent assured me that our case had already been reveiewed and sent on by 5 departments and that these internal USCIS movements are not posted on the status screen that we (the public) can see. The USCIS officer also told me the service centers are being pushed very hard to deliver within the 5 months window. As a result, they are pretty consistant about processing them in the order they were received so there is a better chance of achieving the 5 month goal for all. If you look at the stats onine, the CSC was waaaaaaaay behind and TX doesn`t appear to be receiving or processing any I-130`s. Between the info from my friend (the immigration lawyer) and my conversation with the USCIS agent, I believe that CSC was way behind and transferred A LOT (maybe thousands) of I-130`s to the TSC to speed up the processing. I also believe that even though we don`t see any actions taken on the USCIS website, all of our cases (Jun, Jul, Aug, etc) have been reviewed by many departments and just need to continue to the end of the line (like an assembly line). The movement to TX was done to speed up the I-130`s in process and it is a benefit to all petitions that moved and all that stayed." Sounds like this could be good news!!

I heard this one about 100 times from USCIS

Maybe USCIS at TSC needs to read to also :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

I suspect TSC pushed the wrong botton, instead of approving the petitions, the employee entered the files as received that day. They only noticed the mistake when they started receiving our claims. So, maybe that's why each time one of us insists by any mean to having an explanation on what's going on, they pick up the file and approve it. Nevertheless I'm afraid if you keep on harassing them, they may just forget our file for a while

We will all be approved and in a very short time. There isn't much we can do. Some heads at TSC & CSC may fall, they will deal with it indoors. I don't believe that Laurel is not aware of this mess, if they told her they made a mistake and it's being solved, why should she make us more worried than what we already are.

Just my thoughts

Not sure what the hold-up in my case is. Neither of us have been married before. My wife has traveled to middle-eastern countries for vacation, but that's not unusual among Europeans. I'm not sure if they have access to her passport at this stage anyway. I heard a lot of people say they think it's taking long because they do or once did work for the federal government or the military. That could be my problem. Ugh, I've had to go through 2 background checks for the federal government in the last 2 years, once as contractor and once as a federal employee. The second one was right after I sent in my I-130. You would think that they would share information but that is obviously not the case.

I can't believe they don't share this kind of info. It wouldn't make any sense  It was one of the reasons we thought our petition was going to be a no brainer process, me and my Taylormade man have to go through background checks for professional reasons. I'm getting more and more confused with their sense of logic :help:

Thanks celldoc. Taylormade... approval date is 1/21. it's bittersweet because 1) you feel guilty that so many others are still waiting and you know everyone is saying "congrats!!" and thinking "you suck!"... i know... that's me over the last few months! also, 2) i think only one of us has actually made it to nvc... so as others have said, you get this approval which is cool, but it doesn't do much good if your file doesn't make it to nvc. :) so just remaining hopeful that the kinks in the system are getting worked out so we all can have a smooth ride from tsc to nvc. (L)

Hey you're the one who tells us to be positive, why feeling guilty? You reached the next step, we are just behind you, and we are all going to make it!!!

hi waitingondLord - the email came at 11:26 pm EST. someone asked if online status changes too, and yes it does. i think, but i'm not positive, that the email is maybe generated from the change in status. either way, some people have gotten notices that say they were approved several days before the date of their email, i think. so it's very possible that some people are approved but no one at USCIS has checked the right box in their system yet that will trigger the update to your online status and the email.

if that was our office garza on myspace, i noticed he said he works sometimes until 3 am. don't give up hope for this weekend!

I kinda wondered exactly the same thing, and that was due to an early response about them giving us their decision whe "they have updated their systems".

Makes you wonder....

Yes, well, I think I may just break the strings if I played right now!! I am REALLY hoping for a good run of approvals later on...Posted Image

I was afraid of the processing volume's chart, according to their rules, we can complaint after 6 months on hold, so can you imagine how stressed they are if they can't complete 36000 files til the end of Jan? They cannot afford having that much of complaints...it can ruin them. In every company, private or gov, there is a production chart, a results chart.

Fingers crossed because my logic may not be theirs

Just had an email from our lawyer.

I think things are close for us, and all of us.

Maybe they DO approve, and then take a while to input into the system like yours Jenny - wasn't yours completed on the 14th, but not mailed to you until the 19th? I'm hoping that Officer Garza does her/his bit today. I suspect there is a lag between approvals and the submission to the computer system.

The latest email from our lawyer said:

I contacted the immigration office today in regards to the I-130application.
Shesaid that the review of the case was completed on 1/19/2011, 2 days ago. Theapproval however is still pending.

BITING our nails to the knuckle here...

What about if everyone is approved? It took them more then 20 days to put int the system the petitions they had from CSC. They reviewed them til Xtmas holidays, so since begining of Jan they are entering the approvals in to it.

Stom biting your nails, you need them to play the guitar

My email was very simple, I put the cases #s as email title :

"Dear Sirs,

We have filed the petitions July 27 2010 (NOA1) on November 3 2010 they were transferred from California Service Center to Texas Service Center. We have not had any update on our cases since November 24 2010.

Can you please inform us whether when the petitions are being processed?

Looking forward to having your feedback."

The first two approvals in this thread came at 10:30 on a Thursday night. The last 3 came at 6:30 on a Wednesday. One thing they have in common is on a given night all came around the same time. At least I think they're coming at once per evening when they refresh their system. I would guess that there are more VJers who got approved last night but have not posted yet or will skip posting all together. I think that their estimates are correct, at this rate they should finish processing all 35,000 applications in 60 - 90 days or so. I would not get hopes up that everybody here is approved this week.

Fermat we should take into account those that are not VJ members, then maybe mid Feb we will be done with TSC

Unless the "speeding up of the process" was one of a series of "clerical errors".

-In which case we've all formulated expectations based on an erroneous statement.

Then, again, if so the 36000 petitions would be in the receipts column
Lidia & JBFemaleFrance2011-01-19 13:40:00
IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresCalifornia Service Center To Texas Service Center

If you call for a service request they actually say to wait 180 days from the date of your transfer to inquiry about your case when before that it said 180 from priority date. I spoke to a Tier 2 rep and we plain ask her because we file in July and it has been six months. They said to count from the date of transfer. It was not out of processing time. My husband clearly asked if we need to wait 5 months and she said it could be less but that was the official time frame. So that explains why our cases haven't been touched once since November 29 and still in initial review. I spoke to a friend who works for an immigration lawyer and she said it seems that yes it was reset when you get transferred just like the officer said. Unfortunately you are part of the batch it was tranferred

If so, they woudn't write in the NOA transfer that it was to speed up the process

Jenny: It says Nov 10 (up until?). Since most of us were transfered around Nov 2, then they wouldn't have had time to process our applications (by Nov 10). This is the first time that I have seen these charts. Do you know when Dec 10 will be posted? Thanks.
