Just got an email that on May 12 I my I-131 Travel Document (AP) was approved and i will be getting the notice in the mail :)
And then I got another email saying my I-765 Empolyment Authorization is in Card Production and will be mailed with in the next 30 days as well :D

Like change. Ex. I put it for end of august but want to change it for mid october. Would that be possible or not? The date I picked for ap was just a random date to send with my app. Now I do hv a date that I should go for. Wat u think, is it possible?

Wow, this is all pretty crazy stuff!!! :bonk:

Alaba, what I would do is bring every NOA you have ever received since the K1, and ask if a mistake was made. If there was a mistake, I believe they can fix that at the biometrics appointment. I know of a member that had the wrong birthday on their green card, and they had to go for a walk-in appointment at the same place where her bio appointment was... Maybe you can knock two birds with one stone...

Brenda2010, does that mean you have to go all the way back to Canada??? What a pain!!! So, they did not match with the prints taken at the K1 interview, is that it? Gosh, this is so ridiculous!!! :ranting:

Well, keep us posted you guys, maybe this week will bring better news to all of you...


Ya i'm not worried, but i will bring everything i have, just in case. I just think that someone somewhere thought that the A# should be the number on the card stapled to our passports, but in reality i think i was never an A#, just something everyone used for "security" purposes. Ah well, should be interesting to see what happens.

Here's a question for everyone, is it possible to change our AP date?

I am very glad I had my passport because one of the questions was my A# and if I didn't have my passport I wouldn't have known it


Speaking of the A#, The one that I used from the paper stapled on my passport, i don't think it was valid cause On my Biometrics Appointment letter it says USCIS A# and it's a totally different one. I guess that was never an A# to begin with, and this is the actual one I was assigned. Anyone else see this?

Good news Alaba! Some progress at last! mandaNchris is right, make sure you bring your SSN and a state-issued ID. If you don't have any, bring your passport and anything you feel is important. You'll see though, you'll be out of there in 10 minutes!

I also got my letter for biometrics appointment which is scheduled for this tuesday coming up, May 10, 2011 at 11:00am... So i guess the "card production" was them resending the letters to the right address. Fail

Well, it looks like your green card is on the way!!! Congrats!!! But just wondering, did you ever have your biometrics taken? Because they need those for the card... And what about your EAD and AP, did you ever apply for those? Did you get them? You would also have needed your biometrics for your EAD card...

Let us know when you get a chance! I'll put the list here so I don't have to go back 5 pages to find it, but I'll wait for an update from you to actually do so, congrats again!

That's the thing, i never did biometrics, so i'm in lala land. I call, but those people don't have a clue of what's going on. I don't know if you think i should just do a walk in, or wait to see what comes in the mail? And The card production email was 3 of them, For AOS,EAD and AP.

Hey guys, so i hadn't gotten anything in the mail or anything about noa, just by email. I called and it's cause they had the wrong address on file. Here in Puerto Rico it has to be sent to P.O. Box not the actual address, which i was like what, cause the application says Physical Address and Mailing Address. Oh well, so then i got the email a couple days ago and a letter in the actual mail yesterday saying that Address was changed, then today I got an email for all 3 applications saying this:

I couldn't do anything cause my wife does not make enough money here in Puerto Rico, and no one wanted to co sponsor, (puerto rico is poor) until someone appeared and is gonna do it, so now i can start this. :-D

Hey guys, i'm finally POEing tomorrow, so i just wanted to make sure of something. I will be entering at the peace bridge in Buffalo, NY, and when we pull up to the customs officer, do i just tell him right away that i'm activating my K1 Visa, and if so do i hand him the sealed envelope or wait until i'm in secondary to give it there? Also do i need to take my xrays out of the car and give it to them aswell? Thanks

Haha, i knew everyone would be like woah, Puerto Rico.

That's where i met my fiance back in September 2007. She was born there and lives there, so it's a great blessing, I love it down there. So it was a choice between Canada and Puerto Rico... we chose there :)

Ok our application went off to the Vermont Station, and it's being applied for Fiance in Canada. Sent on Nov. 27, arrived Nov. 29, it's now Dec 21 and no NOA, when I see that most got an NOA in a matter of Days. I don't know if something has gone wrong.

Hey, so i got a hold of the USICS and told them they I hadn't recieved any NOA1 in the mail and it has been over a month. I filed from Puerto Rico for a Canadaian to the Vermont Station. When they look it up, they said they had the wrong address in the system so it got corrected. My question is will the process now be backed up a month more or will it continue from when it got entered into the system? Thanks

I have my birth certificate from my country, they do not offer a "long form" just a nomral 8*11 but it has my parents name on the fron and all the birth info and on the back the stamps of approval. Will that be fine since it's not the "long form"? And if it is what do you bring to the interview, the original or a photocopy? Thanks

Okay, I read the guides, and we're starting this whole process. Already have the G325 and am working on the I-129F.

On the letter of intent, I saw in the example on this website that the address for the Deparment of Homeland security was listed. Am I mean to write the address of the service center that's going to process my case/petition?

Sorry if I ask a bunch of stupid question, this is all very new and confusing to me :( but, isn't the application for the K-1 visa the I-129 itself? Aren't they the same thing?

"You should get started on the G325A and Letter of Intent from your finace since they should be originals signed and dated by him he will need to complete them and send them to you before you can submit the petition."

I have the G325A and am filling out as we speak. How do we get a letter of intent? Do we just go to a lawyer and get it signed or something?

I'm going to check out the guides with him tonight and he'll send me off everything by tomorrow.

Hello everyone, new here, hopefully I can find some answers!

I'm a student in Puerto Rico (a US territory, so I have a US citizenship) and I got engaged to an Australian man.

Here's my issue. We're applying for the K-1 visa. Problem? He planned to come visit me in July (under the visa waiver program), already has a ticket, etc. I was told that he must be abroad while we apply for the K1 visa. Is this true? Can I apply now and have him come here in July while it processes? We'd both hate to lose the money, but oh well.

And how long does the K1 take to process? I stupidly booked the venue and everything for December 22nd. Hoping I can get the visa by then.

Hi,

Filling out my G-325A, as my fiancé already did his. Some of my questions may seem silly but I'm paranoid about getting any of this wrong!

I'm meant to put my last name, then first, then middle in the first box on the top? Or in the box that says "father" and under that "mother"?

Also, I've never been employed (I'm young), but I'm a student getting my B.S. Should I state such in the part that says "applicant's empoyment last five years"?

Of the last few boxes, there's one that says "This form is submitted in connection with an application for:". From the examples on this website, I think I'm meant to put I-129F, is this right?

As the USC, I have no alien registration number, so I just leave that blank?
