My daughter had her interview last Monday (Dec.1). She is 7 yrs old accompanied by my Mom since I can't because of my job and my schooling here in TX. My mother told me that the interview went well but what happened is they gave the passport back to my Mom, gave her a white slip indicates to wait until she hear from USEM. Also, they made her go to the NSO Pasay to get a CENOMAR to prove i wasn't married to my daughter's biological father. They gave her a form to be attached on the application of CENOMAR and people from NSO told her they are going to give the CENOMAR directly to USEM so she dont need to come back and pick it up. USEM also told her to bring all her school transcripts because my Mom just brought only the latest one and also her baptismal certificate. My Mom told them that our house got flooded and some of our documents got ripped. But they said that we can still get those records from the school and the church where my daughter got baptized. I'm worried of how long it will take. I'm planning to be there in the PH by March to get my daughter so we can fly together going to US. does anybody know how long the NSO will process my CENOMAR and bring that thing to USEM? I'm thinking filling another petition again for her. It is my husband now (her step-dad) did the petition for I know it would be a lot faster since I'm not a citizen yet. Things are playing on my mind right now.....I miss my daughter soooo much and I want to be with her soon. I'm praying that they won't deny her after submitting all the documents they asked for.

But I guess I confused you. I am not a conditional Permanent Resident. I am just a Permanent Resident. I am not sure if there is any difference - should be.. I filed I-130 for CR-1/IR-1 and got my green card. And it says on the paper that came with it -apply for a new card 90 days before this one expires using I-90 form.



CR-1 gets 2 yrs,IR-1 gets 10 yrs. if they give you a green card expiring after 2 yrs, then you are a conditional resident. file I-751 to remove to conditional resident status and that will give you a 10 yrs green card. I-90 is used to replace lost green card, and expiring 10 yrs green card. expiring 2 yrs green card uses I-751.

Hi,
So what is involved in filing for the removal of conditional status?



Mine is expiring on April 16. You have to file the removal of conditional status 90 days before the expiration date. If got approved for the application for removal of conditional residency, that is when they will give me the 10 yrs greencard.

Hi, My hubby (US citizen) and I (His Irish wife) are starting off with our visajourney, Just awaiting our i-130 approval, I have been told and reading that if you are 2years or more married when you enter the US with your visa (once approved) - even though approved for a CR1 - if you point out to the immigration official when you enter the US they will approve you for your green card without any conditions. Is this true? Just want to clarify as we are planning to move in June and we will be over 2 yrs married at that stage but prob not before the iinterview stage....

When you receive the approval notice for your I-130, it will state there what visa category you will fall. CR-1 gets 2 yrs greencard and IR-1 gets 10 yrs. Me and my husband were already 22 months married when i got my visa and flew here in the US after 5 months (2 yrs and 3 months married) but they still gave me condional greencard and im about to file removal of conditional status next week.

I lost my wallet last December together with all of my credit/debit cards, driving license, military id, state id and some membership cards. I decided not to replace it since I'm about to lift my conditional status this month. I see that I have to send a copy of my actual greencard back to back but how can I do that when I already lost it. Would that be a problem when i file I-751? I'm planning to send my affidavit of loss which i got the next day after I lost it and a copy of my U.S visa printed on my passport with the stamp i got from my POE. Do you guys think this would work? I'm really worried and started to think I'll be deported soon. Any advice will be very appreciated.

we will see what will happen next.....im hoping things will go smoothly.anyways thats the only thing i missed and for me i have proven enough that our marriage is real.hope they won't deny me just because i don't have a copy of my gc.i don't think they will ask for me to replace it because it won't make any sense.the card is expiring in april.i submitted a police report and notarized affidavit of loss along with my application.i hope it would be sufficient for them to approve me.

i got my biometrics appointment for march 10 today.i am happy that they don't ask for anything else or do an interview.i submitted my application without the copy of my greencard because i lost it last december and did not file for replacement since i am due to remove my conditional status last january.i will try to do an early walk-in and we will see what will happen next.im also planning to get the temporary stamp on my passport because i'm planning to overseas after my biometrics.that way i wont have a hard time on my travel since i don't have my old greencard with me.keeping all my fingers cross.....=)

just follow what ever they require on your local office. i noticed it vary from place to place. some asks for pictures and some don't. like in my area 79904 here in texas, they don't ask for picture. just the passport will be enough. so better provide whatever they require.anyway it is much better to have all of them that way they won't send you home due to lack of requirements and have you set for another infopass.

Go ahead and try. We will see their response. Pay $590.00, and submit a copy of documents stating you and your spouse. Any proof that you can demontrate the relationship from the date of marriage to the present date. You may send birth certificates of your children, lease or mortgage contracts with both of your names, joint bank accounts, health or vehicle insurance policies, joint utility bills, or any documents you would think will be helpful.

You should have filed 90 day before the expiration to remove the conditional residency. Since, it's already expired and did not filed I-751, that would be a big problem. Failure to properly file Form I-751 within the 90-day period shall result in the automatic termination of the alien's permanent residence status and the initiation of proceedings to remove the alien from the United States.

1. No, they don't take your 2 years greencard at the biometric appointment.
2. Yes, as it states that you have 1 year extension for authorize employment and travel. But I suggest if you have any plans leaving the U.S for a tour, get the I-551 stamp on your passport specially if you are leaving with an expired 2 years greencard or will be expired by the time you come back. My daughter had her interview last Monday (Dec.1). She is 7 yrs old accompanied by my Mom since I can't because of my job and my schooling here in TX. My mother told me that the interview went well but what happened is they gave the passport back to my Mom, gave her a white slip indicates to wait until she hear from USEM. Also, they made her go to the NSO Pasay to get a CENOMAR to prove i wasn't married to my daughter's biological father. They gave her a form to be attached on the application of CENOMAR and people from NSO told her they are going to give the CENOMAR directly to USEM so she dont need to come back and pick it up. USEM also told her to bring all her school transcripts because my Mom just brought only the latest one and also her baptismal certificate. My Mom told them that our house got flooded and some of our documents got ripped. But they said that we can still get those records from the school and the church where my daughter got baptized. I'm worried of how long it will take. I'm planning to be there in the PH by March to get my daughter so we can fly together going to US. does anybody know how long the NSO will process my CENOMAR and bring that thing to USEM? I'm thinking filling another petition again for her. It is my husband now (her step-dad) did the petition for I know it would be a lot faster since I'm not a citizen yet. Things are playing on my mind right now.....I miss my daughter soooo much and I want to be with her soon. I'm praying that they won't deny her after submitting all the documents they asked for.

I do understand what you feel right now..... but to think your fiance got the nerves to tell you the truth is impressive. Well, if you really love her you won't get affected. Atleast she tells you the truth when she can keep it to herself without you knowing it. It is better that now you know than knowing it when you guys are already married. Whatever her past is, should not affect you IF you really love her. Poverty pushed her to do things that she dont want to and it is good that she escaped from that wrong doing.

On my DS form I put San Fransisco, CA on the addresses that is asked to where I am going here in the US. But my husband moved to Texas, so my point of entry was Dallas. No question asked.... so I don't think you would have a problema doing that. If it is your first time to come here in the US, for sure that your green card will be send to Hawaii. Mine was mailed to CA so it was my in-laws who sent it to me in TX. About purchasing ticket online, we used to do it in all the travels that we do. Never had a problem.

Aside from that, they gave her a paper saying that is to be attached to the application of cenomar at NSO pasay. They want my cenomar so mom went straight to NSO pasay after the interview and it was NSO told her that they are the one who will bring the cenomar to USEM. She dont need to come back and pick it up. All the documents asked in the white slip are already submitted. I can't find a way to know if my cenomar is already at the USEM. So we are waiting until now......i'll do follow up after 4 weeks.

mine too..... the date they stamped on my POE is just the same of the expiration date on my greencard. i remember when i dont have my gc yet, the stamp on my passport is what i use to apply for my driving license, state id as well when i applied for a job.

mine left nov.18. stayed in kuwait until dec.3 and now in McHenry going back and forth in Fob Warrior.

wow military wife ka din pla....im about to remove mine on the 16th kc expiring sya on april 17. exact 90 days b4 the expiration. i am married for 22 months already when they granted me CR-1 visa. then we fly to the US 5 months after i got my visa. so pagdating ko dito lagpas na 2nd year anniversary nmin. at first kala ko pwede na ko mag remove ng conditional residency ko but when i asked the USCIS local office, that is when it was explained to me when i will be eligible for the adjustment. my hubby is currently deployed in iraq. he just left last november.

If you are filing jointly, the I-751 form must be filed within the 90 days just preceding the expiration date on your permanent residence card. This is the date that your conditional residence expires. congratulations!! how long did u wait? after my parents interview on the 11th, they went straight to NSO Pasay to secure a copy of my BC and was able to get their NBI with aka. they'll be submitting these papers on tuesday hoping that my BC will be there by then. I'm wondering if IR5 pending case will take that long too..so frustrating.


My mom submitted the documents Jan.7 since we waited until we got informed by the embassy that my cenomar is already submitted to them.i don't know why it took like a month before the NSO Pasay handed it USEM.but i am glad it is all done.
