I was planning to just forget about the entire process for a couple of months until the interview letter would arrive, but I wasn't expecting this yellow letter. US Citizenship General Discussion	Anyone else In line for Scheduling in Washingdon DC Feild office	Does the interview letter follow the yellow letter some of us receive shortly or could you be waiting a couple more months before anything happens? I am a November filer (Fairfax,VA) and based on other timelines I am expecting having to wait a couple more months. I was actually quite surprised when I received a yellow pre-interview letter dated 12/23/2011 in the mail today. Am I getting my hopes up too high? My case was placed in queue for scheduling on 11/28 (no FP since they were still valid from the ROC) Wishing everybody Happy Holidays and all the best for 2012! No name change; just a straightforward admin oath. There are a couple more active posts on this forum about the VA/Fairfax situation. Happy for everybody that has their oaths scheduled, but I am wondering what would be the best thing to do after the 120 day mark. I have been waiting since April 9th (no name change, no DUI', not stuck in name check or anything) I was told that the case had been approved and I just had to wait for a time slot for the oath. US Citizenship General Discussion	No more same day oath in Fairfax, VA ??	Indre, I am still waiting. I already scheduled an infopass (about 2 weeks ago). A complete waste of time... They told me to wait 120 days. I was actually approved on the same day of my interview (not only recommended for approval, but also received the final approval), so its been around 80 days so far. I scheduled another infopass at the 90 day mark. Maybe they can put in a service request. Not sure if they will do this, but I will keep you updated. This has been a very slow process... I actually just got back from my infopass appointment today, since I haven' t received an oath date yet. As expected, a complete waste of time... Just received the same old message that they have 120 days to schedule the oath and that they cannot do anything about it. I know that there are lots of people with an interview date that was later than mine that did already receive their oath date. I am a NOVA resident, no name change and still waiting. Eric and I got officially married last Friday (just a courthouse wedding, since we already had a really nice ceremony and party in Belgium) So I just went to the courthouse to pick up our marriage certificate and applied for my social security number too. With my new name Still have to get used to being a Mrs instead of a Ms, but it sure feels great! Have all the paperwork for the AOS in front of me, so here we go again! Getting pretty good at this Hope everybody is being reunited with their loved ones soon and can start enjoying all those lovely moments together! Saw there were a bunch of approvals and a lot of interview dates!!! He thought the young man at window #16 was very pleasant. Note: Anyone going to London, if you find a very large clip on the vertical blinds by the fan, it's mine. I was getting annoyed at the buzzing sound made by those blinds being sucked into the industrial sized fan, so being Mommy Nic, I had to fix it. Oh yes, and I finally found ice cold Diet Coke in England.....at the AMERICAN Embassy. There was also an interesting mix of American candy bars and British crisps (that's chips.) We were worn out by the time we got home because we walked to the Embassy, then back to the hotel to retrieve our phones, camera, etc, then to the Buckingham Palace inside tour (lovely), then Hard Rock to eat, then back to hotel to retrieve luggage, then to the bus...mucho walking and my feet were beginning to complain loudly to my uncomfortable shoes. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Filing in March	Hey guys! It's been a while since I checked the VJ site! Wow, so a couple of you are home already and for everybody else...we'll all be with our loved ones soon. As for me, my guy got here almost 2 weeks ago, and we already had our 'ring ceremony' over here. A couple of his family members flew over to Belgium and we had an amazing day! We immediately went on a short trip afterwards to Paris (only 1h 40 by TGV!) and Biarritz for some surfing. Got back home this Sunday, and had my interviex the next day at Brussels consulate. Most friendly people over there, and although normally you have to wait a couple of workdays for the visa to be delivered, after about one hour, they called my name, and handed me back my passport...with the visa in it! So, we are almost on our way. We are flying back home to Atlanta next Wednesday and my guy can even work this week from the Belgian office (so we don't have to use up those scarce holiday days!)... Couln't be any better. We have a pretty busy week ahead of us, saying goodbye to everybody (family all scattered around in Belgium; thank god it's a tiny country ) Packing all my stuff and on a mission to find a box for taking my race cycle on the plane now... Oooh, we're almost back home! Now just enjoy the last week here and enjoy those little things that I'm definitely going to miss! I hope the NOA2's are on the way for everybody, and here's to speedy interview dates and fast approvals!!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Filing in March	How's everybody doing? Well, today was one of the nicest summer days we had so far in Belgium (it is actually HOT!) So, we're going to enjoy it as long as we can (although there will be plenty more nice days in Hotlanta for sure!) My friends organised and amazing bachelorette party last weekend (a bit early, but since everybody is on holiday the following weeks, it was the only date available). It was an unforgettable evening!! Champagne picknick on the riverbanks of the Schelde in Antwerp (the harbour police even took us for a free boat trip on the Schelde when they saw us having fun...how cool is that!) And since there was a big Gay Pride festival going on near the river, we had some nice side animation as well!! Never saw that many muscular sailors in my life Well, it was fun, that's for sure! So I definitely had an amazing time and the best friends in the world for organising this lovely evening! I just found myself a new pasttime today...tracking the package to the Embassy... I read on a couple of threads how you could track dhl packages from NVC, and yep, it worked! Of course it worked...we got the info on VJ right! So our petition is on its way.....oooooh! The people at the embassy were so kind to give me an appointment already, so I'm going to be in Atlanta before I know it! I'm really keeping my fingers crossed for everybody still waiting, and maybe you will be even able to make up some time like me with the following steps of the journey... Maybe the NOA2 takes a little bit longer, but in the end it might all just even out!! C'mon, we need some more approvals before the long weekend there!! I'm devastated about leaving my friends and family and if it wasn't for Alan I wouldn't be considering it at this point in my life. If you are a USC then please take care of your partner. They are feeling everything that you are about being apart but they are also preparing themselves for a life time of separation from everyone they are leaving behind. I know how much it has hurt to be away from Alan - the prospect of being away from my friends and family is even more upsetting because I have had enough of missing people for a lifetime. Alan is struggling with my lack of excitement about moving and whilst I know it must be hard for him too, I'm really struggling to muster the energy with everything else thats going on to do a happy dance every time we talk. I have so much respect for everyone seriously going through this process especially the foreign nationals. Ok thats my rant/ramble over. Sorry. Aleena you are so much stronger than you are giving yourself credit for, considering everything you are going through I think you are incredibly strong and fully entitled to have bad days, weeks, months if you need to lovely. I hope that everyone is well. I'm glad I have you guys to come and talk to. xxx A big hug for everybody who needs it!! Just remember we're all in the same boat here and that in the end we should consider ourselves unbelievably lucky, having found somebody who really loves us.. Hang in there girl! My daughter arrived in London today. She's got a friend that lives near Westminster Cathedral, so she's going to be knocking around London on her own and shopping while the friend is at work. She's been to London before so has already been to the main attractions. She said she might try her hand at going to Wimbledon since it's starting and the early matches might be easier to get in. On the weekend, Nick will tour-guide her around his area. I'm looking forward to going back to England next month. We've booked a place near the embassy for the night before the interview. Now we're checking out information from shipping companies and trying to get a grasp on that. There's always something to learn each time you make it over one hurdle as you move on to the next. For everybody VIBES~~~~ Thanks for all the good vibes guys!! But I better not get my hope up too high... I am scared I have to buy a new laptop pretty soon if I keep abusing mine like this. Honestly, what's the maximum amount of times somebody logged in at the USCIS site a day Ah, well... I guess the system only gets updated every day, but try making that clear to a girl who is just desperately waiting to see that NOA2 pop up...
