the photos that they gave back to us is the one that will appear to our US VISA (attach to passport). i guess they just scan it and attach to our US visa then print it. anyway, this is my first US Visa.

baptismal certificate is not a primary requirement for K1. it's only a secondary evidence or just a proof of identity. US embassy website states that the applicant may bring this documents as proof of identity like baptismal certificate, TOR, etc just in case the pre-screener or the CO might ask for it - its case to case basis.

during my interview, i brought all the documents that i think they'll need it like supporting documents(baptismal, TOR or even old ID's). it's better to be "over" prepared than failed to bring things that they might need it from u.

w/ regards to ur concern about something wrote in the pink slip is just a reminder that no one is authorized to tell the applicants or the petitioner that our visa has been approved (only the CO is authorize for visa printing). so that the applicant may not finalize their travel plans, etc until they will have their visa in hand.

I'm a little confused here.. They said you need to pay delbros for document verification. What documents do they verify? How does it work? just tell them(teller) that ur paying delbros and they knw it.BTW, u can pay ur DV even if u dont have yet the letter from embassy as long as u knw that ur physical file is already at the embassy. and as much as possible, set ur interview sched atleast one month after u paid DV.

US embassy is no longer sending visa packet to the k'1 applicant. they will only send letter stating that the applicant is eligible to set for interview appointment through their call center. in fact, u dont have to wait for the letter from embassy to arrived. as long as u knw that ur physical file was already at the embassy then u can call their call center.

as much as possible, set/sched ur interview atleast one month before u paid the DV - just to make sure that ur DV is done during ur interview so u will received ur visa very soon after ur interview. just my opinion.

Grabe naman sila, others even take the risk of doing another x-ray even if its not advisable just to prove their healthy, but they do not consider it still! SLEC was so MEAN!


definitely it's not true.. i did my medical after an hour or two i arrived in manila. i had almost 2 hrs plane ride coz im from davao. when i arrived in manila, i just left my things in the hotel and took my lunch before i went to slec. as u can see my signature below..i did my medical and interview w/in a week and everything went fine. BTW, dont compare ur self to others...coz we're all different..what happened to others may not happen to u.

dont worry ur not alone. one of my friend also is still waiting for her visa to arrive. her interview was on august 15, same as mine. her DV was already at the embassy last sept 6 and at the CO on sept 9 but until now her visa is still at the embassy. as what the famous loraine and grace said, its under AR - their standard answer.
