Canada	Copied from K-1 forum, did you get your packet back??	I'm copying this from the K-1 forum to also receive feedback on other Canadians experiences. Our POE was Sept. 19th 2012 and we got married on Oct. 13th 2012. I am wanting to start the paperwork for AOS and am reading over some of the information regarding what is needed in order to submit it. By the looks of it, it is the same stuff we had submitted with our K-1 example the vaccination history, original BC etc. etc. So my question is do we get out packet back?? And if we do when do we get it?? I'd hate to have to pay for more copies of this stuff when it was already sumbitted. Canada	Getting Ready for Interview...Do I Have Everything I Need?	We are getting ready for our interview on the 19th in Montreal...I wanted to make sure that I have all the documents that I need. This is what I have: I-134 Filled Out with: This years paystubs. Letter from my employer. My offer letter from employment when I started. Copy of my fiance's biopage of his passport. Original and Copy of his AND my birth certificate (just in case they ask for mine) Appointment letter and loomis confirmation as well as prood of $240 fee payment. Letter of Intent from Me signed within 30 days of interview Police Certificates original and copies 13 pictures of us with location, names and dates on the back. Copy of our entire Package 3 sent to the embassy. Copys of receipts/text conversations/other things for proof of relationship. Anything else you can think of that I need? I just want to make sure I got my ducks in a row. Thanks to everyone for their help! I am so thankful we are almost done with this K1 part. All of the information you have here looks good, when we went they didn't even want my tax transcripts ( USC ). They didn't want pictures or other proofs you have listed either. I have been paranoid with all this visa stuff, tell me what you doing to kill your time, do you all work or just waiting for visa? What is your planning to do after you move to USA??????? Good Luck to all!! I'm the petitioner in this case, I work and have take on quite a bit of overtime. Not really to pass the time but to make some extra money for trips (have booked a total of 4 this year and leave next month for the 4th), or some extra spending money, as well as he also works. Once I'm off we are on Skpye or MSN chatting or playing video games. All in all we just don't think about it, just sorta do our thing in the mean time. Best of Luck to you. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Sending the Package	So, I'll be hoping to send my K-1 Visa application packet off today and here is what it will contain : -Cover letter (explaining what is encluded in the packet) cover page to my payment -payment in check form -cover page to the I-129F I-129F and additional page for Question 18 -cover page to letters of Intent letters of intent from the both of us -proof of relationship cover (explaining everything that is included within that section) photos (5-6), flight itineraries and copy of passport stamps/boarding pass, Bank statement, 3 months phone records, skype convo history, MSN convo history -cover to G-325A both of our G-325A's with passport style photos of each of us -cover to birth certificate copy of my birth certificate front and back All of the cover pages are tabed at the bottom, check is stapled to the top of a blank sheet, and everything is together with a large binder clip. I did use a small binder clip to hold the MSN convo history and I paper clipped a couple of items that were more than a couple sheet within the proof of relationship tab. Just write the name, so they know which is which (lol, that should be clear) No, You need them inside their own plastic bag (like a ziplock) attached to a blank sheet of paper. I am ( ) years of age and have resided in the United States since (Date mm/dd/year) Obviously I fill in the blank with my age however, I've lived in the U.S. all my life, so I assumed that the date field would be my date of birth. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	money	I believe I was the one that answered your question about assets before. I am sorry you found the answer unsatisfactory. I will try again. You can use assets to make up for a lack in income. You use assets at 3 times the shortcoming in income. For example: if you need $20k but only make $18k, then you can list on the form that you have a savings account with at least $6k, 3 x the $2k you are missing. If your income alone is enough to meet the 125% requirement, then there is no need to fill out the assets section at all. You can skip those questions about assets entirely and leave them blank. It is not required to have or list assets on the I-134 for the K-1 or on the I-864 after you are married for AOS. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Address where the beneficiary of a K-1 visa will reside	It should be fine, and not really matter what was put on the I-129F. Fill out the forms for the K-1 interview with the new address, and you will be using that new address when you file for AOS. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Address where the beneficiary of a K-1 visa will reside	I wasn't really sure where to post this, but we have a question that pertains to the address where the beneficiary will be staying. We received our NOA2 on July 11, 2012, at the time we filled I had planned on staying at the place I'm currently at for another year. One thing lead to another and that is no longer the case. I have since signed a new lease and will be moving next month. The beneficiary will be residing there once everything else is approved. Our I129f petition asks where he'll be residing and we had filled in the address where I'm at now, which will no longer, obviously, be the case as I've stated before. Is there a form we need to fill out and add to one of the packets that we're waiting on or bring it to the interview?? I had an individual already recommend the USCIS address change online, but that is saying if it is in pending, and to insure that you receive documentation. Would this be what I'm looking for? I do have a seperate mailing address which I also included in the application, and am receiving all of the hard copies of approvals, that will not be changing. Any help would be appreciated. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Advice for proof of relationship	Hi Everyone, My fiancee and I are putting together our proof of our relationship. We already quite a few photos from our time together but we do not have many reciepts etc... I was wondering if you have any advice about other ways we can show this. We have alot of emails back and forth. Does anyone have any advice on how best we could present the emails etc.. Any help or advice would be awesome. Thanks so much. David I included 5-6 pictures, a few from each time that we visited with eachother. About 3 random months of phone records, a bit of our chat logs from Skype and MSN, Flight Itineraries from both of us including future flights that I had already purchased by the time i sent the petition in. Oh! And I copied the stamps out of my passport and included those with the itineraries. I still have my boarding passess so I suppose i'll use those if needed at the interview. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	DS-230 Question	Keep in mind that N/A is not the same as NONE, and putting N/A where you should put NONE *could* cause problems. Follow the example form for K-1 visas: Form-DS-230 I think N/A might work because technically the questions don't apply...however the sample form uses NONE Ok perfect, thank you for that example form! For K1/K2/K4/CR2/IR2 ---- write N/A, For K3/CR1/IR1 ---- petitioner's information 14 - spouse's maiden or family name 15 - date and place of birth of spouse 16 - address of spouse 17 - spouse's occupation 18 - marriage date I think you have it right that I'd just have to fill in N/A. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	NOA 1 Receipt received	I'm just double checking, I received the Form I-797C, NOA receipt. (I'm the American, btw). Is there anything else I have to do, or do we just wait until we get the interview information? Also, how does the interview information get to us? Does the government send the info to me (USA) or him (Canada)? Is it in a letter? or an Email? etc. He's going to try to visit me this weekend for about a month, and I'm just concerned he'll get the interview letter while he's visiting and have to drive back in such a hurry because the interview would be tomorrow (or something). Do they give you a weeks notice? Thanks! No need to worry, just receiving your NOA1 you have at least 5 months of wait time to endure. We just received our NOA2 last week and probably have at least a month or 2 before we even have an interview date. We visited each often during the months of waiting. You would only need to send your W2 if you were sending them your tax returns, not transcripts. USCIS always prefers transcripts.
