If money is no issue than I don't think there is anything to discuss about, choose what is most convenient to you and pick him up from JFK. He is not going to have it any other way anyways.

Asia: SouthPOE's from India
Also to add on let him know this as well...

1. Pass through Immigration (ALONE) whether its JFK or anywhere else.
2. Pass through Customs (ALONE)

only thing that you could help him with would be

1. Either pick him up at JFK and drive back home. (expensive and painful driving)
2. Fly to JFK, Pick him up at JFK, help check-in domestic and fly back home. (more expensive a little bit less painful)

or the best...
3. Pick him up at domestic airport. (not expensive, not painful)

Choice is yours actually his lol.

how about Charlotte airport via Frankfurt on US Airways from Delhi. If that is closer for you to drive.

Otherwise you would have to drive/fly. If you are driving then he can get a direct flight to JFK.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresBest way
Check the timelines for how long it takes in each case and decide for yourself. If k-1 is the best route then you have to get legally married here in US within 90 days of her coming here.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionPOE Issues!
Choose whatever is easier for you, i.e. affordable, good timing etc. As long as you have a valid Visa P.O.E. would not ask you why you traveled through a particular country. P.O.E. may ask you lot of other immigration related questions but as long as your originating country was India and final destination US, no problems.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionK1 Visa (About vaccine records)
Any pathology lab would be able to give you a titre test for the vaccines that are in your blood. It's pretty common for people to not have or have lost the vaccination records. The titre test provides results that confirm the said vaccines are present / or not present in your system.

US Citizenship General DiscussionQuick Question on 3 years counting
B. You have to be a LPR for 3 years, and married to the same US citizen for those 3 years and that your spouse has been a US citizen for those three yeas.

Your case may be touched before biometrics.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionAbout to file I-751but will be 3 days late, will it be denied?
If you do not have any friends/family who can loan you about $200.

you can go to any Pay Day Advance stores and borrow like $100 from them till your payday. Make sure you send this on time. Also you might need more money to FedEx or Priority it so instead of $100 get $200 and send it on time. Do it first thing Monday. Once you get paid on Friday you can pay the Pay Day Advance people with a little interest money.

I am not sure if you can do this but may be you can possibly buy a money order on your debit-card, bank balance would go negative and bank might charge you a fee, but your status in US would be intact. And on Friday you would cover it up anyways.

As fellow VJers have already mentioned you can also send the application without the application fee, and then they would ask you for the FEE by an RFE, you can send it then (not much of a problem) just a bit delay in your 10 year card processing, but you have already delayed it anyways.

Send it on TIME...

Hopefully you get this behind you...

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionRFE-OMG
Here are some more things that you can send.

1. Ask your bank to write you a account status letter, they usually mail you in 7 - 10 days, but if you agree to pick it up from a branch it's done in about 3 business days. This letter shows when you opened your account and what is the status.

2. If you guys own a vehicle then you could send the insurance information about the vehicles also the titles if you both have your names on it.

3. What about health insurance, life insurance and beneficiaries information.

any or all of this should work just fine.

good luck.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionWhat happens if the $545 check bounces?

I am a complete mess right now. I just checked my checking account, I had the $515 in my checking account the day they cashed the check but I had $200 in my savings account which is the overdraft protection and once the check was cashed it would take from that account as well but apparently when I opened this new account 3 months ago, they never added the overdraft protection....now I'm wondering whats going to happen to us now???? is there any way to call or pay online? Is this going to mess us up completely??? someone please help, I don't know what to do!

Oh and his GC doesn't expire until the middle of July, if this helps...

You should go to your bank and check with them. As far as I remember there were new rules about overdraft protection in US banking around February 2010. The banks were required to get approval from customers that the customers would like the bank to honor the check and get charged a fee. Something around those lines.

Identity documents
Evidence of Good faith marriage
-Birth Certificate
-Financial records
-Residence

Did you send the copy of the GC. May be send copy of DL etc.
Also send the Birth Certificate.

I am not sure what more you can do about the financial records but how about sending most of the evidence again like your joint checking, tax transcripts etc.

Hope this helps.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionEvidence Required and Specific Questions.
Hi All:

It is time to start arranging/collecting and separating stuff for ROC. Here is what I have thought (in my case) of sending. Please advice.

1. 2 year conditional permanent resident card (front and back).
2. Copies of both passports. (passport expired in last two years)
3. Copy of Tax transcripts for 2009 filed jointly.
4. Copy of Tax return for 2010 filed jointly. (Can get 2010 transcript but need to go to IRS office)
5. Copy of Life Insurance certificate showing beneficiary.
6. Copy of Joint Car Insurance information and cards.
7. Copy of House Title with joint ownership
8. Copy of joint lease agreement till April 2011
9. Copy of 401K beneficiary information.
10. sworn affidavits of U.S. Citizen family/friends, attesting to our relationship and marriage.
11. Our photos together with brief description from various occasions from 2009 till date.
12. Copy of Joint Car ownership.
13. Copy of Beneficiary information from various sources.
14. Copy of Citi Card showing joint account
15. Copy of Health Insurance, Dental insurance cards showing joint policy.
16. Copy of Express scripts for prescription showing joint policy.
17. Copy of Costco card with joint account.
18. First page copy of joint bank statements.

Questions.
i. Does the above evidence looks good?
ii. We bought a house as mentioned in the evidence, we have a mortgage loan of about 600K (in both of our names). My guess is we should include the loan docs copy and probably a couple of mortgage bills as well? What do you guys think only title copy or mortgage as well. Would help if people who bought homes during the 2 year GC can comment as well.
iii. How many sworn affidavits are fine. Do we have to include them, and if yes how many? I have seen most people having 3 but can I get away with 2 or 3 is a must or a general norm.
iv. I have seen people attaching birth certificate of the USC? I believe Passport copy of USC (sent during AOS) should be enough?
v. Just confirming that I do not have to send any copies of the docs that I have already submitted earlier (AOS).

Thanks in Advance. Please advice.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI751 and Taxes Filed Married-Separately
As Just Bob said as long as you filed tax returns stating married to each other it does not matter if you filed jointly or separately. From USCIS perspective you have to prove married with each other and that's written clearly on the tax returns.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionPreparing I-751 - Forgot AR-11 and I-865
We filed AR-11 when we moved recently and I still got a notice from HomeLand Security on my previous address reminding me that I have to remove conditions within 90 day window which is approaching soon.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 Problem
I am sorry that things are not working out between you and your husband after around 6 years together. But the bottom line is you need your ROC and you of course did enter the marriage in good faith, that's all you have to prove.

What more evidence does the RFE requires?
Also it would help if you could attach the list of what you already sent?

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionAfter RFE

nope, didn't do that... it only said to put the blue letter on top of everything in the package... *worry even more*

That's what I meant by Response to RFE (Placing the blue letter on top of the package). If you have done that then you should be fine. Also in case of RFE my experience is that if they are satisfied by your response your wait is over, you go into the next stage.

Good luck.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionQuick Question about I-751
I had filed AR-11 when we moved to our new home. Still we got a letter on our old address forwarded by USPS to the new home saying "Don't forget to Remove Conditions" and so on. I won't worry too much about this. I am sending my packet in about a week and I am going to list all the addresses in a sheet I have lived in past two years and also would send the copy of the AR-11 successful filing.

Also I am sure 751 only asks your current address. Although you can include list of addresses lived in past two years kind of thing. This way you can show some evidence from the old address as well.

Good luck

As milimelo suggests, do it as soon as possible.
You should have done this within 10 days of when you move Posted Image.
That's a condition and responsibility for you as a GC holder.
In any case since you didn't USCIS may forgvie you but to avoid further complications and to receive the 10 year GC at your new address and all other correspondence please file AR-11 online as soon as possible and don't forget to mail the I-865.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionReview of documents to submit for RFE

thanks for the response. Are tax form and w2 copies different than tax transcripts? I dont have tax transcripts and if i order them it will delay sending response to rfe.

This is the fastest way to get Tax transcripts. Go to your nearest IRS office (you will have to make the trip). Take your ID and all you would need is Tax years you need transcripts for and your SSN. Depending upon the wait you should be done maximum in one working day.

Good luck

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionDoes violate school bus stop affects Removing Condition?

Just a comment here, while I also know stopping for a school bus is mandatory (just like stopping for a tram or regular bus in Aus) I've never been in a location where I can't continue if the bus is on the opposite side of the road, or where I can't go AROUND the bus by hopping into the next lane. For instance, the trams occasionally travel on 2 lane roads. We drive on the left so the tram would be in the middle of the road or in the right lane. You are NOT allowed to go into the left lane and drive past a stopped tram with it's little "stop" out (almost did once 'cause I didn't see it.. eep!). School buses open with their doors to the street and kids are expected to obey the laws of the road (stay on the side of the road until the bus is gone so you can look for traffic. Do NOT walk in front of the bus. Cross at the pedestrian crossings) but you still drive at 20kms in a school zone.

My natural instinct is to keep going but cross into the farthest lane and that's what I thought you did until Tony told me more about it. Even the driver learning book didn't explain that if it's in the opposite lane you need to stop as well. That makes no sense to me as 1. people should be teaching their kids not to run out into the road and 2. There should be a safety monitor there who gets out first like a lollipop lady with her "stop" stick to make sure people stop while the kids cross.

So I completely understand how she could have got this fine.

People can teach their kids but kids are kids. It's onto responsible adults to make sure they are safe and STOP when school bus lights are flashing. That's the law.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionRFE - any suggestions?

Thanks for chiming in on your thoughts :)

And of course we mailed in copies of our Identity Documents.
We also sent in a few cards/invites that our family and friends addressed to both of us, but we doubt these would make much difference, because they can be faked easily.

So, we're planning to send them everything we sent originally, including updated car insurance, bank account and credit card statements.

In addition, we want to add:
- Copy of our lease agreement issued in both our names
- A letter from our property leasing agent dated Sep 11 to verify a change or our rental rate
- Copy of our Sep 11 electricity bill issued in both our names
- Ed's new benefits plan with Cindy listed as the primary beneficiary
- More pics of us this summer
- Copies of our joint US tax return and state tax return for 2009

Is there anything else we should add?

Cindy

Your initial evidence was fine except for the fact you guys did not send your joint residence proof. You should submit everything again and more but make sure you submit the joint residence proof. Also you can send some bills copy in either of your names but on which the address shows your same residence address. Sending 2009/2010 tax returns is also a good idea as you had not sent for 2009 earlier.
Good luck.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 March 2011 Filers

Had the AoS interviews today and was informed of approval at the end of the interviews.

We were interviewed seperately, I went first. Questions were about things around the house, color and position of washer and dryer etc, health conditions, what we did last weekend, etc. Asked if she'd recognize the house key, I said probably not because we use the keypad on the garage door mostly. Funny that she uses that keycode about five times a day when working outside, but she couldn't remember it for the interview. Didn't matter though, since he approved her green card. Said it should arrive in a few weeks.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionEvidence Question
You have good evidence. You do not need affidavits (they are only required if you have very less financial and residential proofs).
I would also suggest including Health insurance together (if you have). And life insurance and beneficiaries. If any of you have any investment plans then include that with beneficiary as each other.

rahulvMaleIndia2012-07-03 13:00:00
Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionRFE for more Evidence
Some more pointers (More important than pictures for sure)

1. IDs for both of you showing same address (Driver's license etc official IDs)
2. Health insurance together if you have
3. life insurance and beneficiaries information.
4. Since you don't have a lease / mortgage affidavit from your parents that you guys are living under their roof.
5. Joint Car Insurance.
