K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresPorts of entry?
I'm confused about how I will need to enter the U.S after we get our visa? Is it best to fly or to drive? Are there only certain boarder crossings you can cross at? If I fly do I still need a 2 way ticket or can I just buy a one way? What is it going to be like at customs when I cross with a visa? Is there any chance they can deny me entry even with a K1 Visa?

I know lots of questions, but any help would be appreciated. THANKS!!

We filed over a year ago and are still waiting for NOA2.

CR1 visas take longer... she was asking about a K1

You're looking about a 4-5 month wait. It's pretty consistent, but no an exact science.

Thank you! I've just heard some horror stories and they make me nervous, but it's always exciting to hear the good news. So thank you for that! good.gif

We just got our NOA2 from VSC and it took just over 4 months only by a few days

That's awesome! Congratulations, when you get the NOA2, is that when you know if you are approved or denied?

Just the luck of the draw. smile.gif

It's so frustrating not to have a straightforward timeline as to when things will be done.

Does anyone know if there are still huge delays in processing K-1 visas? We filed our petition with the California Service Center. Is 6 months really still the average amount of time the processing takes?

Thank you for your help.

Everyone is different, but have you noticed there seems to be alot that are around the four month mark for the NOA2. Then you see some that are alot longer. Here's hoping! whistling.gif

I have noticed that the the NOA2 seems to come around the 4 month mark. I'm wondering if there is any connection or reason as to why some are getting sent so much later. tongue_ss.gif

Does an address change effect the time it takes to process a K-1 petition?

Is anyone else still waiting for an NOA2 that filed early October?

If you are refering to the address changes that would transfer your case to another visa center, then
I heard address changes would affect the process time.

We filed in early October and made an address change in December (and that's when we had our last "touch").
When my fiance called USCIS to ask if that would delay the process, he was told that it would not but we were also told that was because he was in the military and they were not going to transfer our case to the other visa center.

Now I am seeing quite a few people who filed later than us getting approved and am concerned about the adress change a bit again. It's also possible that they work on adress changes and put the documents into another pile of documents, right? Then what happen to those?? (I know I'm just paranoid too...)

Hey my exact thoughts aswell!!! Have a NOA1 date of the 1st Oct with vermont and my Fiance in the USA reported a change of his address mid to the latter part of October. I was thinking that this may delay the processing time with them probably moving it to the back of the pile again???

Is there some way we could find out for sure?
