Somone told me that for K1 Visa the petitioner alone must meet minimum income requirements and CANNOT have a co-sponsor. Is this true?

3AD

I am having the same issue as you are 3AD. My fiancee got deny twice already. I don't know what to do as of this time. I might ask for help from the state's senators. Hope they can give a voice about our problem.
Best of luck 3AD

Asia: East and PacificVisa Approval
Finally, finally my fiancee was issue a visa. Yahoooooooo jump and clap feet together. Wahooo
Through my district congressman interest, my case was approve. Those two senators didn't do good by explain my case, so the consulate denied them, but not my congressman, his assistance attorney did a great job by research and question about my case. Horrayyyy to Mrs. Heaton.....horrayyyy.....

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionAbout my denial and approval,
On the first interview, the officer denied my case cuz I have someone else to joint sponsor my fiancee, they ask for document/evidence show that what have this sponsor help me from the past and until now. I don't have any evidence to provide, so i waited til this year to have my dad as my joint sponsor, the officer denied my case again bcuz they didn't find enough evidence in supporting my fiancee, I submitted a bunch of evidences. The reason they denied was "this person will be a public charge when she is here in the state".
I emailed back and forth to the VN consulate asking questions. One email reply back and stated that I dont have to submit other document at this moment to further my visa approval, so I have to wait until next year to have my income higher enable to support my fiancee, I came to an immigration attorney and asked him to explain what is it means by "a public charge" i email all needed files to the district congressman first, asked him to have an intertest in my case, then I mail to my two senators. The senators acted first but did not so into my case, they didnt do much to get the officer attention, so a denial response was send to me again. A week later, the person who work for my congressman gave me a call and said that i have good news, I was totally shock and so happy to hear the news, she said my case had been approved. I asked her how come, she answered that she looked at my two denial paper and called other attorney to do a survey about my situation, like i am a student and my dad is my joint sponsor, why cant my fiancee gets a visa? That was how my case went, pretty long but satisfaction at last. Hope this could ease your curiosity.
Stay calm and patience, your wish will be granted one day.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresEvidence
There are only 3 member in my household, my income of last year was 11 G, that makes 4 people include my fiancee. The Vietnam Consulates are very strict about K-1. They dig and find minor issue to deny you always.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresEvidence
Is there any rule about Joint Sponsor for K1 visa? My fiancee was denied twice bcuz of income issue. My dad is the Joint Sponsor but has only 35 grands (Mom and sister are in the household) The reason of denial this time was that there were not enough evidence to show that my fiancee will not become a public charge when she is over here. Anyone out there have the same issue as I? Please help.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresOne day left until the interview date!
Congratz to you two.
Columbia is not that harsh on visa petitioner. Only VietNam as I know is cruel man. This communist country is so nutz about anything.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresfinancial support
You must have at least 17 grands to sponsor your fiancee, that is just for 2 people according to the US poverty line. Goodluck in the future.
