I just heard a nasty rumor that they aren't granting marital visas right now (to anyone from any country)... is there any truth to that??? Congratulations. Heredia is nice. K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Married in Costa Rica	I've been battling this process since May 2006... My husband and I were married in Costa Rica on May 30, 2006 after he was granted voluntary departure from the US. (LONG story). We have been going through Direct Consular Filing of all our Immigration Documents (many more than I ever thought possible; all with costs associated) and we were told that he would need a "waiver" that had to be processed in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. We've been now waiting since April 2007 for this to be "reviewed" which takes anywhere from 4 months to 1 year. I'm sure our situation is a little more complicated, but the process is still long and complicated. I like filing directly at the US Embassy in Costa Rica; you are right there if there are any "extra" fees to pay or paperwork to fill out.
