I'm on K1 visa petition.. and I've read different blog about affidavit of support(I-134) and up to now I am confused on what to do regarding this. Do we really need to provide separate I-134 on k2 and documents for affidavit of support? and do we really need to notarized this. it's really funny!! but i need a concrete answers. thank you so much VJ members. Co-sponsors are only needed if your fiance does not earn 125% of the published poverty rate for the number of people in the household. So - to repeat... IF it is just you and your fiance in the household, he only needs to earn about $19,000 per year. IF he does - you don't need a co-sponsor. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	emergency	Your visa will not be approved without a qualified sponsor or co-sponsor. The answer doesn't change because your fiance has two jobs- the issue is that you say she doesn't earn enough. How much does your fiance earn between her two jobs? The 125% poverty line for two people- ie if she has no kids or other dependants- is just under $19'000; I find it hard to believe that someone with two jobs doesn't make enough, unless she works very few hours. Your fiancee's mother past job/ taxes do not count in this case; only current and ongoing income counts. You say she will get a teaching job again next year. When next year? You only need to present the I-134 at interview, so could easily delay till January if that is when she will start her new job. To sponsor on assets (ie savings), your fiance's mother would need to have five times as much as income; ie if the mother has no husband or other dependants, she would need to have 19'000x5= $95'000. my fiance do $40 000 a year. the mom will star working next year the same mounth Sept. the mom has two kids and the husband got a good job. i think we need another co sponsor	boy gaga	Male	Mauritania	2011-09-19 18:11:00

Otherwise, as you mention in your first post, finding another co-sponsor for the I-134 is probably the way to go. My problem is I over stayed my tourist visa in the united states for 7 years. I studied I have my high school diploma and attended a year of college. Immagration ran into me one day and arrested me for not having a green card, so I decided to volunterily depart the states(I was cleared by the judge that their isnt a ten year hold against me coming back to the US). my wait date was 5 years but its been three years since than. So now im waiting on my call date from NVC for available visas in two years.. I was wondering if their are any consequences to the interview and/or any other issues from the embassy? I don't have boarding passes, as at the time I didn't know, however we have passport stamps, I believe this will show it, that we were in the same place at the same time.
