National Visa Center (Dept of State)using home as asset for I-864
The instructions say that to use a home it needs to be accompanied with a recent appraisal by a licensed appraisers. Does anyone have experience with this? Would the appraisal by the city for tax purposes suffice?

National Visa Center (Dept of State)DS-230 original document
We had earlier sent in with the I-130, the court certified document of divorce. Are we also required to have a court certified document for the DS-230? Or is a photocopy adequate?

Canadacan't schedule DHL service

It is because you did not book your appointment because NVC booked it for you. It happens to all spousal visa appointments.

so how do we register for DHL?

Canadacan't schedule DHL service
Okay...I really tried to follow the instructions:
I registered my spouse at the Montreal Consulate--when I log in her info shows up
But it says "You currently have no appointment scheduled."
Why does it say that? NVC said the appointment was scheduled for June 29.
I follow the instructions on "How to Register for DHL courier service...everything seems fine until I have to select the DHL location...there is no option to do so.
And when I reach the end, I learn that "There are no available appointments at this time."
If I go back to the login page and select the option for "Register for Courier Service", it sends me through the exact process for scheduling an appointment. Am I the only one befuddled?

CanadaEntry into USA before passport is returned
we have to turn in the passport, and it is to be returned later with the visa. But...we have a vacation planned in the U.S. Can we cross the border before the visa package is returned if the Canadian citizen has a Nexus card?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresNEXUS card
My wife is Canadian; we recently got our NOAA-1 after filing the I-130; we both cross the border frequently, visiting each other. I was wondering what affect applying for a NEXUS card would have on the process.
