i dont get it...so il just go to RCMP office and ask for a police certificate? am i suppose to show any documents coming from the US consulate?can you tell me where in toronto i can find an RCMP office?

Hmm, I did have mine done the 16th, but it had been booked at the beginning of the month. So now there are only 4 - 2 in Montreal, one in T.O and one in Vancouver. I'm not sure why US Immigration is making this process so much more difficult for people...

too bad for those people from other provinces that needs to travel far just to do their medical exams aside from the trip for the interview.
this process is emptying our pockets.lol.

Canadaanyone waiting for interview in montreal for K1
i got my packet 3 last jan 20, sent it back on the 21st. i emailed them to confirm if they received it or i lack anything else from what i sent, they replied within 24hrs (they take a day or two to reply to my emails). they said that they got everything and im on the waiting list.

then comes jan 27, i received again another mail from them. ( i wasnt expecting anything special about it, too soon for a packet 4). its another packet 3!!
was it just a mistake?

im still in the waiting list, just got their email.... im unpatiently waiting for interview schedule.

the best way to email montreal is 3-4 pm. i observe that whenever i email them at that times, i get the reply after 30 mins to an hour. i dont think its coincidence coz i get reply from them. maybe about 6x that i did.lol..i hope they wont spam me or block me .lol whistling.gif

anyone out there waiting for their interviews? i was hoping to get it april but i saw one VJer that has already a schedule for CR1 on april 16. they're already giving dates on april...so prolly il get mine MAY???? hope not!!!!!!!!

is it safe to make transfers without meeting the person? i found some websites where u can post info's on your phone and if somebody's interested they msge u. i receive a msge from someone and asking details about the plan and the fon. i msged back but he didnt reply anymore. maybe didnt find my fido plan interesting.

what if il change to the 15dollars a month plan. and just wait for it to finish.its cheaper by a hundred dollars if i do that.

if i dont pay the cancellation or whatver, will it show in my credit report? so far i got good credit history. does US look after credit history in canada?

i have a 3yr contract with fido and if ever i will be granted the visa in May, i still have 18months left on the contract. i called fido and they said that i can terminate it but i need to pay 20dollars for each remaining month. another option is to transfer theaccount to another person. i got nobody to transfer the account to.
any idea how to deal with this thing? thanks

poprocks - after i read your post here about emailing them regarding the interview schedule, i tried my luck and went ahead and email montreal requesting an interview april or early May. i emailed them at 2pm and got a reply at 4pm.here's the reply:

Unfortunately it shouldn’t be much longer. You are currently on a waiting list to be scheduled soonest.

i had my medical last march 16th. i dont know if it was weird or not, but dr. seiden asked me to go to may family doctor and get a blood test to prove that i have a tetanus vaccine which was written in my yellow card.

y do i need to prove him that? he doesnt believe whats in my vaccination card or sumthing?
i cant get the result unless my family doctor faxed him a copy of a titre test that proves of my tetanus vaccine.

got this morning my medical result. in my vaccination documentation sheet, theres a check on the box right below the table that says, "application may be eligible for blanket waiver as indicated above" and another box checked which says "applicant may be eligible for blanket waiver because vaccination not medically appropriate."

dunno whats these means. can someone pls explain these to me. thank you

so i called service canada just now. i am here in canada on a work visa but i pay ei and the other stuffs that a canadian pays. i asked the lady if i will bable to be grant a claim and she said that i she cant give me an answer until i filed for a claim.

this is her instruction:
1. file for a claim online when you're already in the usa.
2. fax a copy of ROE from canada and any document from the usa that says i am able to work e.g. greencard, ead blah blah..


questions:
you file for ead after you get married right? and then wait for 3months or so to get it?
you should file a claim for EI within 30 days of your last employment?
so how can i give them an ead if it will take me longer time to wait for that than filing an ei?

Congrats! Yes it will, Pearson does preclearance so be sure to go VERY early!! It may take a little while, depending on how busy it is that day. Where are you moving to Francie?



im movin to california! arrive very early as in arrive 4 hours before the departure? are there officers that do the preclearances 24hrs? there was a cheaper flight at 8am but i was thinking nobody will be there to do my K1 lol.so i got one at 8pm. il make it sure that im there at 4pm.

we talked a lot of stuffs while waiting, he said he will be moving to hawaii. i heard his fiancee's name like there is LEE in the end. there's this one couphele on the list of the interviewees yesterday as josef and lee. maybe that's them. good to hear that he was approved as well!

huggle, the woman after you, we were on the same train on our way to montreal so i was surprise that she was having interview too. then while waiting for the train on the way back to toronto i bumped into her on the central station and asked her if the interview went well and she said yes.we were in the same train again. what about the other lady before you, with her mom, u said she is vjer too. did her interview went good as well?
