Just write in $0.00 for the three years on the form, then include a letter explaining why you didn't file taxes (no income due to stay-at-home wife/mother).   Ok that's what I thought. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - January 2014	Congrats!!!   Make sure you read posts 1 and 2 in the topic.   Unfortunately you will not receive a email or any correspondence when NVC receives your case.  Sometimes it is fast and sometimes the service center sends them slowly.   Some people say it was updated on the website.  But for most of us you will have to call the NVC and give them your MSC receipt number to find out when they received it.  (Then follow the steps in post 1 and 2)  If it seems like a long wait then some people call a USCIS tier 2 representatives to find out when the case was "physically shipped" not just "shipped to the mail room". The lady was super rude (surprise, right?) after 30 minutes waiting I asked to talk to a supervisor, she put me on hold for 2 secs then told me there were no supervisors available! Such idiots! He was missing a couple forms (to include medical, since there was some type of mix-up), but the interview went very well and the officer all but told him he was approved. On Wednesday the 16th he took the forms to the embassy. Yesterday I received an email saying that the case was placed under administrative processing? Any thoughts on this? Is this good? I was told that the US embassy in Chile has very little backlog and so they are able to take cases such as mine to rush the process... Just got this email message:    Application Type: I130 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity On January 8, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.   Our receipt date was July 9, so that is just about 6 months exactly.   YAYYYYYYYY!!!  My husband is in Chile, and was planning to come here in about a month on a tourist visa (yes, while his application was still pending, because he hasn't seen me and the kids in 4 months).  Does anyone know how long post decision activity takes? The Chilean consulate is fairly efficient. If he does come on the tourist visa, can he just stay here and do the interview here?   Thanks!   Somehow my last comment didnt quote! I live in Florida and was sent to California. nobby7, thats great to know after your case was transferred it only took 13 days for approval.    Do you think mine could be different if it went to a "local field office" and not to another service center?    That is a glitch in the system, they are not sending to local offices (all of the transfer notices say they are being sent to local offices) anymore. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2013 I-130 Filers	I've only seen updates on USCIS website with no emails, I was transfered on the 3 and got another update today 6th saying trasfered to loocal office, anyways we are not really bothered about that but will be If we get approved and don't see our NOA2.I will check on my wifes email again to see if we eventually got something. Did you make sure to sign up for email updates? Is it normal for it to take this long? We were transferred on the 30th, and received the hard copy on the 3rd. 5 more months total or in regard to transfers?     We were transferred on the same day. I have not received the 3rd email yet either but did got my hard copy on the 3rd like you. Are you at CSC? It is really encouraging to see that other filers from July are starting to get approved! I am so happy for you all. My papers were received on july 16. And I got a notice on January 3rd saying that our case was transferred. From what i have read from you all that is a good thing right? It has been getting hard being away from my husband but it has been encouraging just knowing that i am not alone! okay...my cheesy talk is over... Stay strong everyone! Yes it is great that you finally got a transfer! Have you received a hard copy letter in the mail telling you where your case was transferred?   Can't wait for the 3rd transfer email. But sometimes in two or three days apart.  I got my first transfer email/text last night at 06:30PM and the second email/text this morning at 08:30AM. Still wiating for teh third wave. Hopefully late tonight or tomorrow, or may be Monday.    I didn't receive my third until after I had the hard copy. My first and second came Dec 23 and 24, then hard copy arrived on the 30th and I received my third text that evening.
