I also had an interview for K1 and is put under 221g. Kept my passport, original birth cert and my fiance original divorce decree.
After the interview, theofficer didn't say anything just gave me the yellow slip and advised to wait for further information from them.
And oh! Not to worry (hope he's right)
Such a bummer! Because there is no way that we can find out how long is the wait.

Denied I-129f, want to file CR1

Dhadz! First denial because consulate didn't believe the relationship was authentic. The relationship fell apart not too long because my ex fiancé blamed me for the denial. The 2nd denial as stated because I failed to supply proper document.

So if I may ask you, the second petition is with a different fiancè? As you mentioned "ex-fiancè" on your previous post? If so, make sure you do not have any petition for you pending with USCIS. And you can pursue CR-1 naturally, just make sure you have everything they requested. Because they might ask you for the same documents you failed to present the last time.

If your wife lived more than six months abroad, then you'll need it from the respective countries.

Help with I-129F

Hey guys I'm Jon and I have a girlfriend in Dominican Republic whom I have been with for a year and 4 months. Long story short we wanna be together now I printed my I-129F form but I need help from people who are already in the process. What are the steps for this and what else do I send with the form?

Hi Jon,

Once you fill out the I-129F (please read and fill carefully) here are some of the documents you need to send along with the papers:
1. Check of $340 (please refer to the USCIS fees page)
2. Letter of intent to marry within 90 days, signed and dated from both petitioner and beneficiary (check out the samples on VJ website)
3. Declaration of how you both met in the last 2 years
4. Proof of ongoing relationship such as photos, itineraries, boarding passes, emails, chat logs, phone logs
5. G-325A filled out by the US Citizen and beneficiary signed and dated (so there are two G-325A)
6. One passport-type photo of the US Citizen. Write the full name of the US citizen on the back.
7. One passport-type photo of the beneficiary. Write the full name on the back.
8. Copy of the Birth certificate (front and back) for the US Citizen or a copy of ALL pages of the US Citizen's passport issued with a validity of at least 5 years or a copy of the US Citizen's naturalization certificate (front and back).
9. Beneficiary's copy of birth certificate with translations
10. Copy of divorce decree of both petitioner and beneficiary if any
11. Copy of all passport pages on beneficiary

Hi Billious,

During my interview April 23, they returned the original proof of relationship that was forwarded from NVC.
So I'm not too sure about this information on e-processing.
In my case, the consulate sent the checklist/packet 3 to my personal email, they didn't send it to my fiancè. But they will definitely reach out to either one of you so no need to worry. You need to email the consulate asking about the status of your case, calling is useless. Email them jakiv@state.gov and state your JAK#

Bottom line is: petitioner has to cancel the I-129F and yes it will affect your future applications if not canceled.

There are similar threads here on the subject if you're willing to do some research.
As far as I know, your ex needs to cancel the petition since it is still PENDING with the USCIS. So they will see it as multiple petition on your behalf and deny it.

Denied visitor visa - considering K-1 (Nigeria)

You both can meet up in another country if you'd like as long as you have met within the two-year requirement.
But I would suggest meeting him in his hometown, visit with his family and take a lot of photos as proof.
A week visit would suffice. Collect itineraries, receipts for petition purposes.

Or

He can always apply for B2 visa again. I understand it can be difficult to leave mom alone due to the illness.

Immigration Lawyer speeds up Process

Hi corvusheart,

From our experience with an attorney, we could conclude that we spent a hefty sum of money for nothing. Basically you can do this on your own. I suggest you keep the money for plane tickets.
He didn't provide us any new information or speed the process. Could not be reached through phone, only emails and those were seldom replied.
He did help with filling up the forms and mock interview, however, again, you can find very useful information on this website. AND there are tons of people who are willing to help here.

Fingerprinting in Indonesia for Singapore Police Certificate of Clearance for K-1 Visa

My fiance is trying to figure out where to get a set of fingerprints in Indonesia to send along with the forms to get a Certificate of Clearance from the Singapore Police. She is in a more rural area near Kediri & Singapore has said to just go to a Police Station and get them there but they don't fingerprint there. Has anyone had this problem? It's expensive to fly her to Singapore or Jakarta to try to figure it out. Any and all help is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!
