It seems to me that both k1 and k3 have the poverty guidelines so we may need to get a cosponsor regardless. My boyfriend doesnt have alot if assets just 2 vehicles and a trailer. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	if sponsor does not make poverty level	Hi, In from Canada and my boyfriend lives in Kentucky. We are in the process of starting the K1. We just found out about my sponsor needing to make 125% of the poverty guidelines. My boyfriend does not make enough as he is on disability and only makes 14K. Even with adding his assets i dont think he will make poverty level.
