Asia: SouthPolice Clearance Certificate
Yeah I just got confused with the whole thing, thanks guys for helping me out.

I got both the PCC's, the local passport office and police station. Going to submit my 3.5 soon, hope everything goes smooth.

Thanks again DanielParual and Diday smile.gif

Asia: SouthPolice Clearance Certificate
Hello -
My current address and my previous address both fall under the same local police station and District police office. Do I need to submit police clearance certificate for both the addresses or a single certificate for the present address suffice.

I know i need to submit additional PCC from the local passport office, but for the pcc from the district police office i'm not sure if i submit a single one or one for each location of my residence.

Please let me know.

Thanks.

Hi - We applied for an immigrant visa at the delhi embassy and I got the visa today. They said my passport with the visa will be sent in 2-3 days through courier.

Does anyone know if I need an income tax clearance certificate to show at delhi airport before i leave for usa? Are there any other formalities (in terms of indian laws) that I have to take care of?

Thanks.

well they took my medical report too, the sealed envelope. He took out the papers from the envelope and attached 'em to my file. I was asking about the X-ray, they did not take the x-ray. I guess they don't need that. Sorry for the confusion.

My wife just read your post, and she recognized your wife from the questions you have posted...haha...yeah we overheard her interview (oops, sorry for the eavesdropping), it was just before my interview. once your wife got her visa, i got a bit confident that i'll get too, seemed like a happy day at the delhi embassy..haha..

Congratulations!! I also went to the delhi embassy today and my CR1 visa was approved. The whole process was pretty fast and comfortable (with the new lounge they have at delhi embassy).

Asked me just 2-3 questions, who's the petitioner? what does she do?when did you get married. And then he's like okay everything looks in order, congratulations your visa is approved. Didn't look at any of my documents, no photos, nothing.

I have a question though, i carried my sealed x-ray with me along with my medical report, however they didn't take the x-ray and didn't even bother to look at it. What am i supposed to do with this x-ray? Can I open it and keep it for my personal records or does the embassy need it down the line. What happened in your wife's case?
