there is a cheap way to call philippines.. to the one you love.. it is called callpinoy.... www.callpinoy.com

this is how it works... you subscribe to the service they give the recipient in phils a free cell phone or a sim card depending which area they live in.... you call an access number and call that cell phone

call pinoy has many plans

1 plan unlimited minute plan... for 79 to 99 a month you can call your wife or fiance or loved on in phils all you want for one set price.... it has great flexability.. unlike vonage your loved one can be anywhere and not be tied down at home to be able to talk to you... also in manila you can pay 5 dollars more a month and your loved one can call you for only 6 pesos a min as well..... also you can add a party line for 20 a month you can have another loved on recieve a cell phone or sim card and have unlimited talk with them as well....

the other plans range from 10 to 70 a month you get a batch amount of minutes a month and after that it is only 8 cents a a min....... and you get the cell phone with most of the plans....

PhilippinesAOS/EAD process in VSC..how long to the interview/approval?

Hi;

We just obtained our marriage license yesterday.. wow i can't believe this, we're getting married within the week or next week. I have a question; we were about to send the application for my EAD but we are getting married soon anyway so we are thinking of holding on a little more so we would just apply for the AOS rather than applying for EAD which would save us some 180usd, if it's rather a more practical way. Has anyone here have gone through AOS process in Vermont Service Center who could share their experiences, want to know long it takes to get approved and to have the green card on hand, anything related to my situation, because I am so eager to start my life outside and go about finding a job rather than staying at home all day long alone, omg i feel like i'm gonna die of boredom soon, (just that, otherwise the rest is absolutely fantastic in my life right now with Mike, he is fabulous i swear ! :devil::goofy::rolleyes: :luv::devil:, I am absolutely lovestruck. Sure i can do lots of things around the house but i guess I'm just not much of a homebuddy.

Also, if i choose to still pursue on applying my EAD will the approval have the same amount of time? or much faster so I could start job hunting and probably start working before I get approved of green card? Any inputs would be greatly appreciated.

the working permit will take 2 and half months...then when she recieves her EAD and everything would be ok with her AOS..she needs to take the driving test and get her driver's license...thats d time she can go and search job...maybe 4-5 months. Depends..how early u will apply for her AOS/EAD. Me...im hoping to go back working too! maybe in august when my working permit arrives...

my husband called the USEM regarding my interview result AR.. the agent answers becaz of my CENOMAR...takes 4 to 6weeks before government reply about that inquiry..wowhhh thats too long...
well guys i just wondered why they haven't ask my cenomar during my INTERVIEW. well i was called the NSO regarding my cenomar for marriage they told me i can get my cenomar anytime and also i have cenomar in my hand now but that was year 2005 they issued. can i send by fax to USEM my cenomar... what is the format by sending fax with them...

OK just got off the phone with BPI, they said anyone can go pay and it doesn't have to be the "interviewee." But I htink you're right it would be safer that way. It's just that we're so used to "utos."

There might be...but this is unbelievable..pre-screeners are very friendly and they'r filipinos..just stay calm. Think that they r just people in the airport asking ur ticket...think that the consul is just your future father-in-law asking you about ur relationship with ur fiancee/fiance. Think of they're are just people..think that its easy...be optimistic...think positive. I got no problem with these when i had my interview. heheheh! nothing to get worried as long as ur relationship is true. :thumbs:

Yeah it needs to have cover letter, other documents..its ok if it is copies only...leave the originals to ur fiance. Just have 5 pages of emails and 6 pictures, phonebills are sufficient. That was the only proof they'd asked from me. Just be confident in the interview..telling them about ur relationship would be ok.Goodluck! :thumbs:

I declined the job..coz another school offered..and they're paying me higher than the frist one...so...need t ochoose the best!! hehehe...and have another news..one public school wants to interview me for focus aide position in elementray dept.....so..when this school accept me..will decline the second school and choose this coz this is better than the rest of them....15 mins drive and more pay..hehehehe...im happy!!! im jumping... i declined few interviews too..i think its good to send resume's to all schools..so bunch of call and interviews to come. yehey! :dance:

My fiancee received her visa package and had instruction not to open the package when they delivered the visa? Is this correct?

When is she able to open the package?

Will the package be open during the CFO class?

How does she confirm that the information on the visa is correct?

Hi, i havent recieve my VISA yet..im using my case number to track it online and everyday im using the DELBROS text hotline to know where my visa is.Expecting to recieve it tomorrow or on friday.

Had my CFO seminar after my medical..im planning to get my sticker morning before my flight going to SAN Francisco...the packet with the brown envelope has this big word written WARNING!!!! and words DO NOT OPEN...i saw that with other ladies during our seminar. The CFO staff said that it will be open in LA or SFO depends where is her port of entry.So, nobody is allowed to open it..juz the people in the states(LA or SFO) wherever as long as in d port of entry of ur fiancee wherever ur place is.

Juz get the passport out of it, coz i saw there is plastic clear cellophane with passport and brown envelope inside..open the plastic and get d passport leave the brown envelope. Inside of it are the documents weve sent to embassy..immigrant papers. So, strictly not to open.

After her CFO seminar, they will let ur fiancee go to their office (another location osmeña st.)where she will pay and get another certificate and have d sticker for her passport.

Hello again everyone!

Just arrived from back-to-back trips here. A few days after Vegas, we had to fly to Boulder, Colorado for business. It was not a honeymoon trip plus my son was travelling with us so no hanky-panky for us :devil: . Dusa si hotDoug ko hehe.

I haven't figured out how to post my wedding photos here so please bear with me. I'll figure it out when I find the time. Busy lang talaga. I will also start updating my long-neglected list.

I thought I was ok here, did not feel sad or homesick for maybe 2 weeks then all of a sudden, while driving along a highway here in WA, I saw what looked like South Expressway along Laguna and then I just started feeling homesick and then cried. Bigay kaagad ng tissue ang aking bf este asawa na pala. Haaay, Philippines, kahit magulo at mabaho, it's still home. Have a fun wedding day. Remember to always smile for the camera!

i am a truck driver and sherwin is with me in the truck now. we have been to almost all of the continental states so far, except MN, ND, SD, NE, IA, WY, ID, WA, OR, VT, and RI. and i guess we did all the paperwork right bcz we did have to go to canada 2 times already and had no problem with immigration either time.

There are many great but reasonable hotels to choose from in Vegas. Depends on how much you want to spend and your taste. You may want to go to www.expedia.com to check them out.

hi Cor....yes untill now...cry..cry effect pa rin ako masarap talaga ang PINAS..yeah mabaho...magulo at maraming tsismosa pero HOMe SWEET HOME pa rin....everyone think na masarap dito sa U.S yes....that's true....pero I cant explain why PINAS still the BEST for me...lol.....kakaloka talaga...... :crying: :crying: :crying: yeah your right when we're travelling goin to virginia i remember the expressway in manila at nalungkot din ako...lol....trying myself not to cry kasi na remember ko rin goin to LAGUNA south expressway area of manila....parang na sa PINAS ako on that time...lol.....mahirap talaga to overcome the HOMESICK....any advise????....ano ang ginawa nyo para ma overcome ang HOMESICK?....I HAVE ALL the sort of fun hear, internet, unlimited phone call sa pinas...lol....a very understanding, caring, loving and supportive husband but still i'm sad...miss ko talaga ang pinas.

hi fellow vj'ers!

i had my early medical at SLEC last july 16-17, supposedly i am scheduled on july 30 but i prefer taking it earlier so that my anxiety will be lesser and all i would think about would be my upcoming interview..

...finally she gave my my vaccination record and my x-ray film! yehey!! according to the visajourney, this is a sign that i have passed the medical!! i'm so happy! :jest: when i got home i immediately told my fiance about it and he was also happy!! :jest:

all i have to prepare and wait now is my interview...

You have been so very helpful to me during my medical exams and also the rest of the guys here in VJ.

I am still here in manila and wont leave till 3rd week of sept...got my visa in may but m still here..hehehe..because of work, i guess.

by the way, id just like to confirm if it is really required for me to take more shots like RPR ( ithink this is for syphillis) and tetmus? shot/test. My fiance inquired from one of the civil surgeons, accredited by USCIS, from georgia and he is nice to accomodate us withouth getting me through a full medical exam again with him...unlike other surgeons that my fiance talked to, they wanted me to take a full medical and they will give me shots (and charged us!), even if i took it already here...well, the first surgeon is okay even if i will take the shots over here (cheaper here)..however, i really want to confirm if they are really needed since i only had 1 shot of MMR and 1 shot of varicella in SLEC...well, SLEC required me 2 shots of varicella so i need one more...

ur help is very much appreciated..as always...

YEah, other surgeon will try to do the medical exam, they just want to collect money..but when i was in the clinic i insisted not to...coz i know that im done...so...we need to fight for it! heheheeh....u will have TD shots and TB skin test..not the full medical...so..Goodluck girl!

1. When is I-864 required?

2. Can I already work if I already have SSN?

3. I understand that EAD is no longer required to apply for SSN but I can only have EAD during AOS. Am i right?

4. I need to know when can i exactly start working?

Hi,
I wonder if anybody could answer me here.. I hope.
We're working on gathering the papers for the AOS process, i need the I-1693A to submit together with the other documents when we send the application right, means that I need to have my TD vaccination supplement before the AOS? because I wonder if we could just send the G-325A,I-864 Affidavit of Support and I-485 and other documents needed but the I-693A, and have the TD shot after we submit those papers cause that way we could send the application by tomorrow or within this week. We want to be sure we apply it before the June ends..

About the vaccination records to be transferred in I-693a will not take that long...u can still have time to do it before july 30th..it takes only days not week/s. Goodluck.. :thumbs: if ur running out of time..send whatever documents u have...and do others later...

EAD is your Employment Authorization...you cant work if u dont have this working permit..ull get it later after 2 and half months after filing the AOS application. :thumbs:
