USCIS Service CentersHELP!!! I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO ANYMORE! 5 MONTHS SINCE NOA2 AND NOTHING!!!!

Wow, That's horrible but typical of the USCIS. From my own experience calling the USCIS many times is most of the people just give you a standard answer out of a book. I would just keep calling & eventually you will get someone who has some knowledge & really cares. The last time I called they told me my case wouldn't be looked at for 2 months and then 2 weeks later I got a notice of approval. Very strange the way they handle each case but I feel your frustration.

Good luck & keep us updated.

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)601A Waiver for Brazil

Filed I601-A on April 3rd. Called on 8/9/13 to check status & was told they were processing Feb 10th applications. Then on August 20th received a letter that it was approved. They had told me it was going to be another 2 months? So just a note to others that not all the information you get from USCIS is totally true. I guess some applications are easier then others.

My wife is from Brazil & has been living in the US for over 8 years & we have been married over 2 years. She did enter the country EWI too. My question is though does anyone know how long it will be until we get an interview appointment? I've been told anywhere from 4 weeks to 4 months.

Thanks. Any information on similar cases would be greatly appreciated.

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaInterview Nov 27 TH, Administrative Processing

We just had the same thing. Took about a week to change to Visa issues and then about 5 more days to receive visa. I kept emailing the consulate too so that they would move it along. They have adopted the slow motion Brazil style there so keep on them.

Good luck. Yeah I'm finally gonna see my wife again this weekend so I'm happy.

US Citizenship General DiscussionN-400 Sponsor or income requirements

Was wondering if the same process is required like the Visa regarding income requirements or getting a sponsor when filing for the N-400? Is there a minimum income level and where can I get that information.

Thanks as always to everyone on this site for all the great info I have gotten already through the process.

CanadaImmigration fees before POE

They never checked ours at JFK Airport (NYC) but you should have a copy of the receipt that shows you paid. It takes them 2-3 days to process the payment.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsBrazil visa processing times

I have an interview in November scheduled at the US Consulate for IR-1 Visa. I was wondering if anyone has been there lately to see how long it took to receive there visa & passport back. I know they send it out by Sedex courier & I was told by the consulate it would be 7-10 working days but just wondering if anyone recently has been there.

Thanks.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresMedical > Interview - dates close together

My wife had her medical in Belo Horizonte since her family lives over there but it still took her going to the Doctor's office 3 days. Not sure why the doctor in Rio mails the results but she was able to get a sealed envelope to bring. The shots was what made her delayed because she didn't have her records & also the clinic wasn't open all day and had a lot of people on the line.

You are probably cutting it close but just beware things move at a snails pace in Brazil. Good luck.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresConsulate in Rio (Brazil) - what do you need to bring?

Make sure you bring whatever you have even if it is a copy. We had an issue with something the NVC never forwarded to the consulate and it delayed our visa. I no it's crazy because they say that the NVC forwards everything but it's not always true. Better safe than sorry.

Good luck.
