Oh my god! I am soooo happy for you! Congrats!!!!

Thanks laura819. Did you hear about your interview date yet?

Oh no..he hasn't sent packet 3 back yet. I think he is doing it tomorrow. So I am sure we won't hear atleast for a few weeks if not longer.

Strangely, I had to resubmit my packet 3 as I did it wrong and missed out two forms (the important ones!)

I sent packet 3 off again with a next day delivery. The next day they told me my interview date was the 1st May. That was on the 20th April! I will keep my fingers crossed that you will get your interview date very soon! also that it is as quick as mine was!

What forms were those? Now I am scared! How did they inform you of your interview?

It was the DS156, 157 and 156k that I missed (silly really as they are right at the top of the page!)

I actually got informed of my interview when I rang them up. I called them as soon as I sent the packet and then the day after to see if they got it. I suggest you do the same every day until they have your date :-)

good luck!

Its just DS-230 Part 1, DS 156, DS156K, and DS 157, and the IV -15 checklist that we send, right?

Did you call the embassy, or DOS? I'm the USC so I am tempted to start calling DOS everyday lol but I might wait a bit first?

That is exactly what I sent the second time round and I got my interview kicking.gif

and call DOS at least once in the next couple of days, they will at the very least, be able to confirm they have received packet 3

HELLO EVERYONE, I HAVE I QUESTION THAT IS BOTHERING ME, THE NEW I-134 Affidavit of Support FORM FOR my fiance has to be notarized???He tried yesterday and 3 differents Notary Public and they didn't wanna do it because there is no where in the paper for them to put the Stamp on it,Our lawyer said it will be ok if we could not notazied the I-134,because this new form doesn't says that has to be notarized but now this is bothering me.

Please there is any of you that took the I-134 not notarized for the interview? How did everything turned out????Thank you every one!!!

Hey we had a request for further information on our K1 visa and one of the stipulations was that another affidavit of support needs to be notarized. At first I was surprised as notarys can be expensive.

I am in two minds about your case. We almost didn't get it notarized but becuase the USCIS said it had to be, we did what they wanted. Our lawyer said it did matter when we asked so we went with our lawyer.

My advise to you would be to get it done, and at least you have satisfied all the requirements.

Hello All, I sent of my DS-230 part 1 form and my IV-15 to the london embassy and am awaiting my confirmation and interview date.

I have a couple of questions about the final hurdles:

1) I sent the forms a little before the 17th March - I have been patiently waiting just over a month now. How long before I should start pestering the embassy?

2) Are there any more charges for the visa? I have paid the £180 for my medical which I will be untertaking soon. Of course money is not an object if it means we will be together, but it would be nice to be able to prepare for the next set of charges.

thanks for you help in advance :-)

See the link below, takes you to the UK interview thread so people waiting for interview in London.

or this thread: http://www.visajourn...h...=177012&hl= people between NOA2 & Interview at London Embassy.

I started pestering as soon as i knew my documents had been received, you can call DOS to see if the information has been loaded as this is what normally takes the time before an interview date is set...did you only send the DS-230 & IV-15?? What about the DS-156, DS-157??

You do have to pay about £90 at the embassy for the visa and also pay about £24 for the courier to deliver your passport back to you.

Thanks muchly for the help and advice. It seems I have not sent the DS-156/DS-157 forms and that is why they have been waiting. I'd best get them sent next day delivery pronto!

She is telling us what we need. We haven't seen the RFE, however I think based on what you have said it is probably worth asking our lawyer to forward it to us. Thanks for your help and speedy response smile.gif

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsUSCIS Request for additional information
Hi all,

First time poster but have been following this site for a long time. Apologies if this has been posted in the wrong place.

My fiancee and I have been going through the process of our K1 visa for a long time now (we have a lawyer working on it for us and originally sent information to her in 2007).

Finally in August 2008 our cheque was cashed and by November we had a case number so we could check our case online at the USCIS.

Interestingly, in December 2008, we received an email saying our case was on hold pending further information. We finally got hold of our laywer on the 6th January and she explained that they needed the following information:

Our passports cover to cover (which we orignally submitted)
More photos (the ones we sent with the date and time on the back were rejected - this may have been because they were all digital print outs)
More evidence of our ongoing relationship from 2006-2008 (in the form of what we had been doing in that time, any times we met and who was with us, their address and details too)
Ticket stubs for plane journeys and train tickets etc.
More receipts for gifts

interestingly, all of our emails we sent were rejected and our lawyer said that the USCIS say they are no good anymore.

Our lawyer is then going to write another affidavit for me to sign in the uk, get signed by a noter and send back to be delivered to the USCIS.

We are a little confused as I am positive this is the kind of information the embassy in the UK would ask for during the interview.

Has anyone heard of anything like this happening before?

Regardless of it seeming a little strange to us, we have submitted all this information that has been requested, as it seems the sensible thing to do.

Like others we are naturally getting a little frustrated with the whole process and just want to be together finally.

We have been waiting for more than a year now, which is fairly annoying. But not sure if it is the USCIS or our lawyer's fault.

Either way after the cheque cash and two touches, we have had a request for further information (see the thread I started).

So I will join you poor people in the hope that together with our half visa's we can make a full one whistling.gif

I sent the I-129F last Thursday by FedEx. According to their site and using the tracking number it was delivered next day at 10:30 AM. Today I wanted to print the receipt where it shows the signature of the one who got my package, somebody called A.Stanley. All ok until that part. By checking the printout I notice that the package was delivered to a place called St. Jebans instead of St. Albans. I wrote the delivery address correctly so I don't know how this happened. And after a search I didn't find a place called St. Jebans in Vermont.

Probably I'm being mighty ignorant here but I sure am worried. Did Fedex probably sent the package to the wrong address or is it maybe a typo on their website? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

PEACE.....

@@@ Its misprint... STANLEY also signed for my documnets, I am now waiting for wife flight here to US. Shes done!

Mr A Stanley is a celebrity on here it seems! I wonder if he knows! we should start an A Stanley appreciation thread! kicking.gif

and as others have said you may wanna call fedex as there is no such thing as being too careful with these things...
