Asia: East and PacificVaccinations? I'm sooo confused :(

Exactly what shots will be given and what shots will be required when she gets here?

Most say she will need TD shot and a second MMR?

Doesn't she also need the Hepatitus shot as well? How can she get all three shots that are required if the medical exam is just a two day thing? Very confused anyone?

Upon her medical exam at St. Luke's, she will be given MMR and varicella (unless she had chickenpox before). She will need a TD shot here in US and a second MMR (which will depend what will be the record information on her Vaccination Documentation Worksheet from St. Lukes). On my case, second MMR is required and TD shot.

Asia: East and Pacificnotorizing letters

my fiance is getting ready to mail the G-325A and the Letter of Intent along with the photo's....what has to be notorized, if anything....and does he have to have an Alien number? He doesn't have one, and doesn't know how to get one?

Hi Debby:

Put NONE for A#, if you will have your visa, an A# will be given to you which will be found on your visa. It is very important that your fiancé send you the I-134 (Affidavit of Support) and must be notarize. In addition, here are the lists that my fiancé that time, send me before my interview at the US Embassy;

>> G-325A
>> Notarize I-134 (Affidavit of Support)
>> Bank statement (stating date account opened, total amount deposited for the past year,
Present balance).
>> Employment letter (stating date and nature of employment, salary paid and whether
the position is permanent or temporary.
>> Income Tax Return (for the past three years)
>> W2’s Wage and Tax Statement (for the past three years)

Additional documents for proof of Genuine Relationship which includes the photos are listed below:

>> Boarding pass, plane ticket, hotel receipt during your fiancé’s visits in the Philippines
>> Photocopy of immigration stamp on his passport
>> Phone bills showing your contact number
>> Email letter that you sent to him even just 5 email letters
>> Snail mails that you sent to him if any

Asia: East and Pacifichow soon can you get visa after interview?

Is there a long wait for her to get her CFO stamp on her passport if she goes back after she has her visa?

The stamp on the passport will take only 1 hour (depends how many people on that day) as long as she has her CFO certificate as proof that she is done with the CFO seminar. However, if she get her CFO stamp and haven't attended the CFO seminar, it will take her 1 day since the seminar is half day, after the seminar she will get her CFO certificate.

When you say they might or might not allow for her to pick up the visa in person.. what do they base it on if they allow it or not?

My friend's sister was lucky enough that their request to the consul was granted. Her fiance' was with her during the interview, after the consul told them that they were approved, her fiance' (US citizen) requested the consul if they can pick-up the visa at the US embassy the day after the interview. The consul was very nice and noted on their green sticker (the sticker is an indication that the visa is approved) that the visa can be pick-up in person the day after the interview. Some applicants were not granted, it just depends upon the consul how valid the reason is, based on my observation they only grant the request to pick up the visa in person if the US citizen is with the fiance/ fiancee/spouse with a valid reason.

I agree with john_marlene not to make any airline reservations because we don't know what will happen after the interview, they might go further investigation on her case. On my case, good thing I didn't make any airline reservation because after the interview, I was put to AR (Administrative Review) for 3 months for Marriage Index check of the US Embassy for CENOMAR (Certificate of No Marriage).

Asia: East and Pacifichow soon can you get visa after interview?

Hi just wondering how long it will be before she gets her visa after she is approved?
Is there anyway to speed up the process to get it next day?

The US Embassy in Manila will deliver the visa in 2 to 3 business days by DELBROS a sister company of UPS. Some applicants in the Philippines who were with their fiance, if they were flight is scheduled in few days after the interview, they request to the consul to pick-up the visa the day after the interview . Also some of the applicants prefer to send the visa at the hotel where they stay as long as they leave an authorization letter together with the pink slip from Delbros at the hotel.

Asia: East and PacificQuestion for people with approved K1 visas already

First question is.. is my fiance required to have all her vaccinations done before she gets her VISA? According to the embassy website, it indicates that it is not required but they might deny her anyway due to this?

Before her interview at the US EMbassy in Manila, she will take a medical exam at St. Luke's Clinic. During her medical exam, she will be given vaccinations like MMR and varicella (not required who had chickenpox history). For the TD shots, it is not available at St. Luke's, so she is required to take the TD shots here in US. She can take the TD shots at the civil surgeon designated by USCIS.

Second..
When my fiance gets her Packet, will it contain more information than just this?
http://manila.usemba...ov/wwwfivk1.pdf

The K-packet contains Appointment letter (to be shown for medical and interview), DS forms (DS 156, 157 and 156K), instructions for the visa fee payment, map of St. Lukes clinic and other important instructions regarding the interview.

Third..
I got the NVC letter with case number on July 14th. I have yet to recieve any information on when her interview is. I went to this website: http://manila.usemba...v/wwwh3227.html and typed the case number but it doesn't give a date. When will I be able to check using this site?

You will receive a letter from the US Embassy (Manila) a copy of the Appointment letter (same appointment letter in the K packet).

Fourth...
I understand that the packet will contain the interview date.. does the packet also include the St Lukes Medical exam date as well or can she go whenever she wants?

My K packet contain the interview date (including time) as well as the medical appointment date (time not included), she'll better very early in the morning). She can take her medical exam before her medical appointment date.

And finally..

Is there something within the packet that cannot be opened until the interview? I think I heard someone say before that there is something sealed in the packet that cannot be opened or you won't get your visa?

Maybe they are referring the sealed envelope together with the visa after the interview approval at the US embassy. After the interview, if she's approved, she will received a plastic envelope with her passport (visa) and a brown sealed envelope. She can open the plastic envelope for her to get the passport but she is not allowed to open the brown sealed envelope. There is written on the brown sealed envelope "Do not open". She will give the brown envelope to the immigration officer at the Port of Entry upon her arrival here in US.

Asia: East and Pacificvaccinations

hi! does anyone know how much the vaccinations are here in tokyo? I've seen that the medical costs 33,000 yen but I dont know how much the vaccinations are...

Before I plan to take a medical exam in Tokyo but decided to file my K-1 visa in the Philipppines. Yes you are right that the medical payment fee is 33,000 yen. Medical exam in Manila cost 10,000 yen however you have to fall in line as early as 3 A.M not like as comfortable in Japan since you can schedule your appointment.

Check out this FAQ's for the medical examination including the vaccinations required in Tokyo, Japan.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionDS-156 Nonimmigrant Visa Application

For the DS-156 Nonimmigrant Visa Application, question #40 is "Application Prepared By." Is there any detriment in the petitioner (me) filling out that portion, should I put NONE, or N/A? Just want to be safe and not sorry. By the by, we are preparing for our interview with the Manila Embassy in the Philippines.

During my interview at US Embassy, I leave it blank, the US embassy personnel who collected the DS forms before going to Windows X let me fill-out the question #40.

Name: my name
Relation to applicant: self

US Embassy and Consulate Discussioni134

what is the time frame of filling out the i134..
lets say i fill and send it to fiance then we dont have
interview for say 6 months is it still legal ?..

I would suggest to send the I-134 (must be notarize) 1 month before her interview along with the bank statement, employment letter, W2’s (for the past 3 years) and Income Tax Return (for the past three years) as supporting documents for the Affidavit of Support.

also will they want just w-2 or will they want entire
tax form....

My fiance that time (husband now )send me the W2's and Income Tax Return (for the past 3 years).

also in 2004 i was married to 1st wife and she is on
the tax document will that make a difference.

Same with my fiance that time, his ex-wife name was on his 2 Income Tax document and no problem encountered in the US embassy.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresreturn to PI requirement?

Rooky question here. My fiance is living and working in United Arab Emirates. The big question...

Will she need to return to the Philippines in order to get here?

I read another person's fiance will be returning to PI from Hong Kong but am wondering if that is an absolutely necessary step? If so, we will cross that bridge when we come to it, but hoping not!

Let her write a letter or call to the US embassy in UAE if she can apply for the visa without going back to PI. On my case, I inquire first to the US embassy in Tokyo, they answered my letter telling me that my case (K-1 visa) will be transfered to US Embassy in Manila since I am not a Japanese citizen. They can't tell how long but they won't take any responsibility just in case if there will be any lost of documents of my papers upon transferring it from Tokyo to Manila.
