hey guys,

can anyone here tell me which form a co sponsor needs to fill out. is it the same form the petitioner should fill out or its another form?

thanks a lot!

If you are talking about for the embassy interview it's the I-134. Both you and Co sponsor have to !

sorry yeah, im talking about the affidavit of support. so both the petitioner and co sponsor should fill out the same form (each) which is the I-134?

Just bc they were the first of 3 on VJ to get an approval is not an expidite. and USCIS wouldnt have expidited for pregnancy just bc she doesnt wanna fly in her 8th month. her timeline says: Your I-129f was approved in 116 days from your filing date....thats not expidited, thats about normal time.

Can I know on what grounds you requested your Expedite request ????????????? If UCIS approved your Expedite based on the reasons(?) you gave them, then I see no reason what so ever that NVC will reject your expedite if you were to send it to NVC and I'm certain that NVC, the embassy overseas all will have a copy of your Expedite request letter attached in your file. But it will cost you nothing to send a copy of your expedite request letter to NVC again although I can guarantee you that a copy will be attached in all of your case file from One location to the other all the way to the embassy overseas

yeah i know most of what u have said, thank u guys anyway.
I was just advised by some members here to give it a try cos the USCIS granted my speed up letter. I am an august filer and I got the first among the three filers who got fist approvals.

Is it the NVC that designates interview appointment to a particular case then notify the embassy about it?

I know this is a shallow reason to expedite a case, but what i'm after is the early interview appointment atleast prior to my delivery or so that i can get to the U.S. before airlines wont allow me to board.

thanks guys!

I hope you will get expedited though as you have said, your pregnancy is a shallow reason but worth trying.

I would prefer to give birth in the Philippines though. It's tough adjusting alone here and it will be tougher if you would have your child while adjusting. Your fiance anyway can have your child registered in the USEM and get his US passport.

yeah thanks for the advise, i don't mind giving birth here in the phils if my finace has more than enough to cover all the expenses. If i'll be giving birth here, he'll be here beside me no doubt. But I'm concern about his finances, i dont want him to carry all these loads. the bottom line is, it'll be more expensive for him if I'll give birth here and then file for CRBA and then pay for DNA test bla bla bla.

 :) firstly congrats on your pregnancy. what i think can help move your case along at the NVC stage is to make sure that u get all the papers in order, evidence etc that the NVC will ask from you and your petitioner, as you would not want to be slapped with a RFE which may further delay the process. i think you and your petitioner can make that judgement call whether you want to also write letter re your pregnancy to NVC, as we never know what the person processing your papers in NVC may think about that. obviously, somebody who processed your papers at the USCIS stage may have processed your papers fast coz they take into consideration your pregnancy, or for totally another different reason. if your papers are all in order at NVC stage, the waiting period can be very fast indeed. altho, you have to take into consideration of the Christmas-NY holiday season for the to process, and then it will also still take time to be sent and then arrive at your local embassy. then if u want u can send more letters or call the embassy up. ;)

i have nothing much to offer here i guess as you seem to be set re sending letters re your pregnancy and to be going there asap in your "delicate" condition. a few of the ladies on this forum if im not mistaken, gave birth without their SO, either she is USC or the beneficiaries, and did not get their respective cases be expedited. one thing i can remind u of is to make sure that your paper for NVC in order. all the best!

Hi there! happy new year to everyone,

just one concern folks, is there any way i can track if our case is in embassy now? we received letters (mail and email) from the NVC saying that our case is being sent to manila embassy. (dec. 17). I hope our case isn't stucked up on the NVC.

Let's all pray!

thanks,
jazz

The best way for you to know is to call NVC direct and speak to a person as the automated system will not reflect K1 visa status. Only they can tell you if youre in AP like we are or not. Best of Luck, if they have sent it out give it at least a week for Manila to rec it then you can call the call center for verification and request an interview date.

hi, thanks for ur reply, anyway, the first time we called them, we spoke to a live person and gave us the MNL number and then told us that within a week they will send our case to the consulate, then we received letter from them through email and mail saying that our case has been forwarded. so what do u think? is our case good?

hey guys,

just want some info, a person is asking for my help but i dont know what answers to give her, i told her to seek help here but i dont know if she posted a thread already.

her petitioner lost his job before christmas, but he gave her his employment certificate dated dec. 2008 and copies of latest itr and they found co-sponsor already inline with the preparation for her consulate interview i think this january 23.

the question is, will this affect the case? what problem can u see about this case?

If I was you interviewing at Manila I would definately have tax returns for both you and your sponser.

It's a good idea but you nobody can even give you a definite answer whether the Consulate will accept the co-sponsor with or without the tax returns. Believe me, I know the value of a definite answer but you're not going to get one on this topic until the Consulate gives it to you.

thanks again,

so i guess, better to secure the ITR. I pray she will lend us a copy. I pray she would understand. We just need the latest right?

As for her employment certificate, its stated there how long she is working in the company, how much she make and what's her work load. ( in a letter head paper)

thanks again,

Again, your larger problem is likely to be whether the Consulate will accept the co-sponsor at all. They tend to be more willing to do so for college students than for the underemployed with few prospects. Why do you need a co-sponsor?

awww,

thanks for the reply

It's not a loan of a tax return. It goes in the file and stays permanently. Tax returns are not specifically required unless self employed but they are a best practice. If the employer letter has enough information, it might just be sufficient.

thanks for the reply. so u mean to say, it can be a problem and not at the same time?

jazz

I don't know where you get that from what I wrote but no, I'm saying "loan" is not what the sponsor would be doing but if the employer letter has enough information, you may be ok without a tax return unless the sponsor is self employed. I take it they are not "self employed" because you have an "employer letter".

wow, thanks, so im fine then?

I haven't received any packet from manila embassy, but i already set for an interview on friday (16th), had my medical also. Had filled out the DS156, 156k, 157 and paid that DS157 at the BDO and filled them out. What papers or packet i should be expecting from the embassy? Some here said they will wait for the embassy packet before paying anything or so.

Hi there!

Do u have the latest tax info and the employment certificate already? What's the date if so? If you have them then schedule ur interview as soon as u can and don't tell the embassy ur fiance was laid off. the consul will just ask u what is ur fiance do for a living, then answer him straight don't elaborate on it. just make sure you also have the affiavit of support and his income from his recent job passed the 125% poverty level.

hope this can make any sense.

jazz

He has already the employment letter from his employer that was third week of december and yes he has all the latest tax info and i think he is above poverty line since he earn $70 thousand annually. When he made the affidavit of support he was still working at that time.At the moment i still don't have the interview schedule yet since our case got stucked at NVC but when my fiance called the other day the NVC representative told him that it is already forwarded to USEM Manila last 13th of this month. Probably, by next week i can already schedule for an interview. I am really worried now...

Call the embassy asap (if u think ur case is already there) and schedule ur interview appointment. it happened to me also, my hunge prepared the papers a month before the interview, then he got laid off but still i presented his papers (i134, 2007 tax, employment cet.) to the embassy and they didnt question me about that. as long as ull stay firm with ur answer that he is employed. just answer straightly what's being asked to u by the interviewer, don't ellaborate.
ull be fine, don't worry. pray and asked the Lord to decide for ur future and not the consul. It works for me.

We are planing to have a co-sponsor
