Philippines	Philippines=recognition of Divorce Decree	Heres a Question im curious about?/ I am filing a K-1 visa app. for my fiancee in philippines. I was once married in the philippines & my now X-wife became a US Citizen. We later divorced here in USA. Legal & recorded divorce. Mt Fiancee wishes that when we return to the phls in a few years to be legally married there also. I also wish the same - yet as my origional marriage is recorded there - How/ what paoers are needed / available to me here on net in usa to get this marriage anulled in the Philippines ? Im told it may be something called =Recognition of divorce Decree" in the Philippines. I cannot locate any info on this and hope someone here has been thru this same process before ?? Philippines	Medical exam =experiences!!	Ok Troops!! heres what my experience with the fiancee has been concerning the medical exam in St Lukes Hospital in Manila!!  She went on day of the scheduled exam= arrived @ 4:30 am to get  an early  slot!! -RIGHT!!!!!!  She was @ that time # 176 in line!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   After all was done & over she gets thru @ 6:30 pm!! from Hospital!!   What a day! so get there very early- take some small foods & water with u & WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  The second day - she gets there for her appointment time- was admitted & recieved necessary shots (5) &  was passed & thru by 11:30 am -Thank God!!  were Happy thats all over now & can look toward the embassy interview. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Whats up with Immigration doing their jobs??	Thanx for that - i was aware = many years back - i brought a foreign wife here to usa -took 10 months -was before computers. Im seeing what i believe is a hold up =for us citizens that are trying to bring a wife or fiancee here thru legal functions. This "Dream Act" seems to have overloaded the system & that should take last priority!! Citizens legally filing for another should take 1st priority!! I actually -years back wrote my senator & congressman -with details on why is was taking so long to get a wife from another country? Within a month - all was approved!!!!!!!! There seems to me -there should be some type avenue?? to get someone / group of politicians on the band wagon to look into all this =time lines? Im curious as to if ?? all the illegasl have filed paperwork to gain legal application status?? That alone could be overwelming!! alos -we do not know -to general public = what has obama ordered ins to do about all this presently?/ Has he dictated a priority for this application over we citizens that have filed ?? It seems evident to me =that we citizens are now & actually = have been taking a "back seat" to all that never should have been allowed in the 1st places?? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	this k1 journey seems so frustrating and depressing	Yes -I agree on the long wait times - been there -done that & sadly doing it again after 20 years!! Heres what id suggest-it works- Write a detailed =Hand Written!! letter to your states -usa= congressman & senator.!! Give them your full names on k1 forms govt assigned ID #'s for the filing and your return address. Be Polite! Simply ask them to look into the case & see what help they can do / offer!! This should be done after soem 3-4 months wait after filing. It doesnt hurt & you likely will be surprised at the reply (good thing!!) as these elected officials have direct phone #'s to the govt offices & can get around the beurocratic BS!! From =prior experience - many years ago - i also then brought someone thru the process. Then before any computers( making all speedier!!??) it then took 10 months for all to happen. Enen my future sister -in-law has now bgeen waithin for over 8 months for her noa2. Welcome to our speedy immigration services!! Ill add also every government is slow to act -these people get that pay check even if they dont work hard or even try to get things done quickly!! Its just the ways out government is set up to do. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Approved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!	The immigration site was posted =thats the 1st place weved looked! I to date have not reciever any textx or emails -i do expect the official letter here soon.- Yes -the service centers have speeded up their processes i do believe only due to  everyone that  had their congressman contact the ins  offices!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kinda bit the govt in the tail end !-i do believe & thats what it always takes too! Whats really interesting to me is = I left  for the phls exactly on may 20th 2012 to meet my Fiancee & our approval cane on the same date  this year !! Karma?? ya !!!!!!! Ive had the other docs & needed supporting paperwork filled out   & ready to send . Now just waiting for the embassy date & nedical date & get all over with soon!! HaHa= yes - they really never explain so heres what i have found out by calling numerous times & going thru all!!= The NVc retains the  paperwork after  the case # is given!! for =1 MONTH!!  they will say  its for review-i believe its just  to give  the embassy time (like in phls) some time to ease their workload & get you into the line!! It will get there  quickly in 1 months time & about that same date = you will recieve the actual hard copy of NOA-2 also.!  think u will get an email ?? haha -keep looking 4 that one!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	K-1=APPROVED!! YES!!!!!!!	On Aug 8th,2013 My Fiancee went to the embassy for her appointment! After alls said & done -she is approved!! The Embassy interviewer did ask many Questions and  as she was fully perpared she answered all  to his  approval!! My best advice is  before the actual interview - make sure that you know your Fiancees life ,friends, background ,Hobbies,and Education! We have noticed= that many are not approved due to the interviewer  not being  able to feel "comfortable" with  proving the Fiancee has / does really know the other -intended!! Remember =its just a verification process  for everything=to dis-allow those who are trying to just get into the usa.!  Im wishing all a greta interview & times coming closer to a great life with theur Fiancee & in  a great Country!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	I-94 Form =careful & watch info there!!	Headache! we went to the SSI office yesterday =to apply (get) a social security Card. Lady there looked at my Fiancees I-94 & passport = said the names were not correct!! Names between both must be =EXACT!!   The customs agent in the port of entry = left off her (part of) 1st name!! Lucky- after somke  4 diff govt agencys -i find out its common for this to happen -due to the  agent that fills out the I-94  just screws up!! the easiest way to have corrected is to go to a Border & customs agency & show them the passport & i-94 & they will immediately correct it!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	St Lukes Strategy	when my Fiancee went thru the same 2  months back- she  basically did her medical about 1 month before the embassy review.   She stayed in casa Bocobo which is close to the embassy & st lukes also. Thats a really great hotel & the single room was about  35-38 usd & was nice room. I did an online booking and she stayed 2 nites & if u have ur lady go there =likely  ask for a reduced rate if she stays  for  5-on days to accomplish all during!! If u also will book her flights on pal  a/l  on a monday ( set up -online  notices from them) u can get a really cheap flights  to mnl & back = depends on times  flown too. mondays are pal's  discount days . saves us all that way too !! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	affidavit of support MANILA	Immediate family is =YOU & ank Kids  you have - no other relatives at all - they dont care  who u live with at all -remember its all about You - The us citizen !!  dont quite me -yet u can look up the 2013  us poverty level in google &  look all over as there will even be shown a 125% poverty lever shown. for 1 its like 17-18,000. yeraly  The usgovt will also check ur  last 3 yeras tax returns also. & have no taxes owed  or outstanding also. The only thing that  makes any differences is the culture you will both be living in!!  USA = woman get  bad attitudes about a much younger wife - men in usa - love it!!!  Im all for rockin the us womans jaws anyways     after all isnt it just the  two of you that really care?? After ur approval- get /make sure ut passport is valid=read about the requirements  (time lines) on us website (embassy)-if needed get renewed! then schedule payment of the embassy interview -PBI=bank must be paid & forwareded to embassy. When u pay bank -u will get a reciept # also!.  After bank has forwardered the funds to bpi / embasy - after 4 hours minimun!!  go online &  schedule the embassy interview & the medical exam @ st. lukes hospital!! Realize -that exam will take 2 days for all!! therefore -if u r from outside manila area?????? you must stay somewhere over night! Expenses are needed for all!= nex=t  get the medical exam done- after thats done- & alls fine?? medical passed??- Then  u will go to the embassy for an interview! Thats the easy part- just be calm & answer their questions! Its all about =verification of the BF & do u really know him?? When u met / how / ect!!  EASY!! Please answer these questions= my delema is= I was married in 1994= brought wife  to usa on i-130 petetion= all approved  then . Wife was from phls also.  Later she became a US Citizen= after some years -  we divorced. like in 2005. Now I am filing foe   my Fiancee (phls again) having gone thru all processes so far & now  embassy interview is scheduled. My  problem is this =on I-134 affadavit of support form - # 8 =I put N/A here as there are =NO dependants i have. answer is N/A  ??  Then # 9-  I am to list my "X" wife here and put the date  that form was subimitted -like in 1994?  ??   and finally # 10= on 1st line =I should list my current fiancee i have  filed for here?? also on line just below that = list "X" wife there?? and dates for those?  Thanx in advance for any help!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	I-129F - middle name is mother's maiden last name?	In tye usa - we do not ever use the mothers maiden name on any official documents. Therefore it is dropped . This may cause some confusion yet one should remember the us officials will be doing all inspections & already know these things. On out immigration forms there is NO -Place to write the "mothers Maiden" name. The majority on actual officisl recorsd names will be looked at by the embassy officials & understood in this aspect. Since this my 2nd time in life to go thru immigration for a life partner!!= heres some things i know & have seen!=My 1st time with a i-130 app. all went fine - took 10 months to have  wife arrived in usa. I will add this= I at that time 9during procwess) write my Congressman & senator! Senator did nothing yet congressman did go the xtra mile & contacted  immigration & questioned - lenght of process> They did help & i did reciever letter from both congressman &  immigration offices. That was long ago too!!   I will recomend doing this today!! Write your congressman -only after  you have  waited aprox. 6 months! Hand written or typed letter also!! Never any emails or texts !! be thoughtful & polite! Inform their office to your  filing # - where sent to dates as ness.  too.  Explain in details- as to your wanting them to look into this for you. Send 2 copies out! 1 to the local congressmans pffice & 1 copy to their washington DC. Office!! never know where they will be at ????????  Remember these are all govt employees= they all take way too much time doing their jobs -they cant be fired usually & only DEATH!! can remove them from that office ther work in!! Yeaaaa US GOVT!!| Now from what i know!!= Lately as having friends & a coming sister -in =-law also coming to usa!!   I know this- they had started calling the immigration offices - asking why is this taking so long .? not areeady approved?/ & so on - many times - that bothers the immig offices & personell! I guarentee that ! And here the negative? = they have ur id & application #!! Duhhhhhhhhh??  Therefore they can then  have u waiting for eternity to get  your papers. I have even seen  1 application after initial approval - not sent to the national visa center=NVC -as should have been done = yet was sent to the NRC !! Thats the governments = National Recycling center!!!!!! That one took another 2 weeks to locate  & that congressman had to locate that too!! I just wonder how long that file would have  sat in that place ? maybe burried in a file 13 in the ground? All in All- be polite 7 write your congressman and do wait a whats seems a lenghty time   so all papers can at least be located in the ins & traced too!!
