I know we're still no better off really, but at least it makes you feel better to know you're not being ignored. I really believe we will both get ours by the end of the month. I cant even tell you how frustrating it is that there have already been october approvals. We are calling USCIS right now even though we havent waited 5 months yet... just feel the need to do 'something'. Getting through to them is like getting through a maze of automated responses. But we got there eventually, we're told we just have to wait a little bit longer. Try to talk calmly to each other and know that we are all in the same boat. It will all be ok in the end. Russ will be coming over to the UK for two weeks for christmas soon. I cant wait! Anyway I am so not ready, when I look at my appartment and when I see all the work that must be done to empty it... I get desperate too. Ahhh thanks EasternDE but at at least you have your NOA2. The long part of waiting is over for you too. I look on Igors list, the immigration timelines, the USCIS website and my emails several times a day. We both just keep saying, we dont deserve this. This is just so hard. Why do we have to be at the bottom of the pile??? A few July filers even have their interviews lined up already. Do you think its any use calling USCIS instead then? What if our file is lost? Why is there a 2-4 week delay? Is that for it to arrive at your embassy? Dont worry, Im sure you'll be ok. At least you'll have a lovely christmas present. There is a small possibilty we could have the interview by christmas too. That would be wonderful! I checked my status on the USCIS website, and my application was touched on the 02nd. I don't know if it was touched prior to that date. Good luck to you. It's much easier to get a license in her country than wait until she arrives here, and NC recognizes a foreign driving license and she will not be considered an NC resident, so she can remain driving on her Colombia license. I dont have a licence either but with all of our other expenses in the coming year, I think that can wait. But, I have heard many times that it is much easier to get a licence in NJ rather than in the UK anyway. But, we will get to sorting that out eventually though... (amongst everything else ) pdcvcm, maybe you could add the couple of extra people also waiting to your list if they don't mind...? Im so happy for the July filers who have been approved CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU ALL! You all must be over the moon!!! I know we will be! But... the more people that get approved the more anxious it starts to make the people who haven't been approved yet. I know we are feeling particuarly on edge the past couple of weeks. And as for August filers getting approved, it just doesnt seem fair. It really should be first come, first serve. I am still trying to keep positive though. After all, our initial estimated date was late December. And on the USCIS website it still does say they are anticipating a 5 month wait. So anytime before then is a bonus I guess. We're hoping this week will be a good week for us and everyone else. Even thoough there have been quite a few approvals of July people who have NOA1 dates before ours, there is only one couple from the UK. So at least thats something... I have noticed the one couple who have been approved from the UK who filed in August though. I'm happy for them, but when is ours coming? Shouldnt they be filed in order of when they were sent??
