congrats on the approvals..but make sure if your going the K1 route you do get a copy of your NOA2 approval notice... why? because you need to send a copy of the NOA2 for the AOS part of your journey...

when you posted your petition did you have a receipt given to you from the post office...if you have that receipt from your package you will find a tracking number..you could ring the post office dont know if it would help..

i sent mine with usps and put it in an express post bag..is that what you did too...

hope that helps in anyway...did the person you spoke to at USCIS by any chance tell you your names were in the system?

Im a bit out of touch with the time frames of the service centres..but i do hope your dream of a winter wedding does eventuate...

there is an aussie forum you can visit on VJ..there is lots of moral support in there.. we have all been through the wait and frustrations of it not going fast enough for us....as for patience tis the time to learn it and learn you will ...it is so out of our hands this part of our journey ..and the easiest part of the whole process is the interview at sydney as long as you have all documents asked for ...

which state is your fiance from..im from melbourne...living in toledo ohio...been here nearly 2 years now...

my husband and i travelled back to the states together to detroit...there waiting was my friend from melb who had been in canada for a few weeks...we all travelled home together talked and talked ...went to krogers for something to eat cos there wasnt anything in the freezer lol cooked ate showered bed by prob 4am lol

then the next day was everyone arriving to help with the wedding ...our friend stayed 2 weeks ..then we started our lives together ...was a hectic time but we slept and got over it all...

i dont really know much about the visa's your talking about but im sure you dont need 2 medicals or 2 police certificates..you usually choose which visa you want to go for...

the link above is to the forums for the visa's in question and im sure someone has asked the same questions you have asked...

my husband does online tax filing so he makes copies of the tax returns he files...

if your looking at getting copies of tax transcripts you can order them here it costs $29.95 but you will get them within a day delivered to your email address..

we took to our interview w2's and tax transcript for 3 years...the tax transcript was what Robert actually filled out to file his taxes..eg 1040 form ...we also took the state tax returns too...anything pertaining to taxes we took to show he can support me in the States...

for the australian police check it is fingerprinting and it has to be a national one for immigrant visa's

take a look at this link on the australian embassey site

AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL POLICE CHECKS

also there was another couple Marina & Dave from the UK but australian husband..they went through exactly this and ended up getting fingerprints done on card sending it over to his mother to get his police check done..i dont know how that went but go to the members icon and put their name in and look up some of their posts about it..

when you receive your NOA1 (which advises you that they have received your application) there is a receipt number ..
go to USCIS.gov and sign up to see what your status is online...
USCIS-FINDING STATUS OF YOUR CASE

cllick on Create/Edit customer portfolio account
and create an account
after doing that log in as a customer
click on portfolio and enter your receipt number and tick on the email box so you will receive emails from them

after entering all your details online and you go there the next day and the date chages that means they have touched your case ....the status might not change either even if they have changed the date..

also while your at it can you :time: so if you have questions in the future people who answer them will know how far along you are in your journey and how you are doing...

i know its a bit long winded sorry about that and welcome to VJ..read the guidelines they r a huge help and also your embassey info at the top of the page

the medical and the police certificates are valid for 1 year each..so you will be fine mate...

shame about the jan date for you interview....bet there is a big backlog now cos of the APEC summit huh...

yes the consulate sends you all the info on the medical in packet 3...
but if you take a look at the embassey info for australia at the top of this page
the doctors are listed in there...

the medical is the same as going for K1 mate...will dig some more info out for you that i have stored on my computer and message you with it mate..

you can fill the G325A online and print it out..you only need to fill out one sheet and Adobe places all the information on the first sheet on the other 3...

What I am fiance' i live in australia.. what i did was complete my own G325A then post it to my the states..you also have to do one for your son im thinking..

if you go to FAQ and Guides above this page it will answer alot of these questions also

i used all capitals..my childrens addresses wouldnt fit in so we placed them on a seperate sheet but we also added what that extra sheet was on our cover sheet when we sent it in...
