This process will give youa a nervous break down. He keeps telling me we have nothing to worry about but i will feel much better once we have that final ok. No, you don't have anything to worry about. Be confident and be prepared. I would advise you to read over some of the past Embassy reviews and see what are some of the questions that they ask. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	WAITING FOREVER!!!!!	Sorry to hear that your case is in limbo! Make sure you stay on them with phone calls...everyday if you have to. I would recommend you look at timelines for the K-1 for Jamaica. I realize you are 8 months pregnant and want your significant other with you but hardly anything happens fast with this journey especially in JA. Once your case is sent to the Embassy, then you will still need to get Package 3 back to them before you can get an interview date and then once you get the interview date then medical would need to be completed prior to the interview, then upon approval you will have to wait on the actual Visa before making any travel plans. It took us about 8 months from K1 application submission to interview at Embassy in JA and approval. Some people had longer time frames some shorter. I wish you all the best! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	The Wait is Finally Over!!!!!	We learned today that my husband's visa is ready to be picked from DHL in Montego Bay. The agony is finally over. We were under adminstrative processing from his day of approval, Sept. 16, 2010 - Dec. 7, 2010. I just called the DoS and they told me his visa is waiting for pick up. It would have been nice to have know yesterday because it was my husband's birthday. Yes! He will be home for christmas!!!!!!!! I want to thank everyone for thier advice and words of encouragment. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Intent Letter	Hello everyone, I am new on here but I have a concern. As I am reading all of the wonderful success stories, I am getting a little nervous. Everyone seems to have submitted a letter of intent to marry. When I filled out my 1-129F I was never asked to submit this letter. Actually, the first time I heard about it was on here about a week ago. My status now is that the Consulate in Jamaica states that they sent my packet 3 to my fiance'. Is this letter going to cause road blocks at this stage in the process? thanks You should be fine...I didn't include one with our 1-129 package but we had one ready for the interview and they still did not ask to see it. When we went for our interview in Jamaica for a K-1 visa in January, 2010, we used the 1-134 and I had bank statements, letter from Employer, and W-2s and tax transcripts from the past 3 years of tax returns. He said that we could get married here and just file a status change? Does that sound right to anyone. He said the r1 visa has dual intent?
