star_smile.gif I was wondering how much time it will be between the time I have the receipt andn cover letter for the i-864 and the time that the paperwork is generated and sent to me.....i want to mail as soon as possible.....also should i have my wife send the completed ds-230 to the usa awhile so when they generate that paperwork i can mail it? What are the steps when she is here? I guess adjustment of status so she can get a green card and the work authorization???

blink.gif Im sure it doesnt matter at this point in the process for me but im sure others would like to konw the difference between receipt date and priority date......I sent it oct 20 2007 my priority date is shown as oct 25 2007 receipt date is down as jan 16 2008. Does anyone know the answer to this?

I want to make sure we have all the i doted and t crossed......who should have what documents and when should we have them......this is absolute hell.........we should all get together call our congressmen and senators and fight for immigration reform......situations such as spouse should be imediate.....i mean a visa number is suposed to be imediate for spouse how come 130s dont take priority.....it took like 300 days for my i 130 to get approved.....thats crazy..............im even sitting here in a cast on my right foot I cant walk I cant drive......Im stuck.......and I cant get her here faster.........Im just so frustrated

I married my wife in the United States in September 2007......at the time she was here on a J1 visa..she could have stayed in the US at that time but she decided to go home and take care of everything she had to do to prepare to move to the US and to visit her family......we thought the process would take about 90 days at that point not aware of all the paperwork delays at USCIS....I contacted Senators and Representatives and they could not help me...she is not subject to the 2 year wait. I origionally sent my I-130 to Vermont on 10/20/2007 and it was transfered to California and approved on July 15th.......and was being sent to the NVC.......how much more time should it take before my wife is here from Poland? I recently ruptured my achellees tendon and could really use her here but I know thats wishful thinking......I will fill out my timelines as soon as I can make it to the safe and get the forms and dates from the paperword and receipts I received from USCIS.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) instructs "panel physicians" designated in other countries for conducting medical examinations of immigrants to the U.S. in coordination with consular immigrant visa processing. In late 2007, CDC announced two changes for these medical exams.

First, CDC appears to have changed the vaccination requirements for all applicants examined abroad by panel physicians as follows:

Rotavirus vaccine, hepatitis A vaccine, meningococcal vaccine, human papillomavirus vaccine, and zoster vaccine have been added as age-appropriate to the vaccination requirements.
Hepatitis B vaccine is required through 18 years of age.
Influenza vaccine is required for children ages 6-59 months.
Acellular pertussis-containing vaccines have been developed for persons ages 10-64 years.
Other significant changes to the immigration vaccination requirements are?

Rotavirus vaccine should be given orally to children 2 through 6 months of age.
Hepatitis A vaccine should be given to children 12 through 23 months of age.
Meningococcal conjugate vaccine, specifically tetravalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV4) should be given to persons 11 through 18 years of age.
Meningococcal polysaccharide vaccine (MPSV) or other forms of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (e.g., monovalent MCV) is an acceptable alternative if MCV4 is not available.
Human papillomavirus vaccine should be given to females 11 through 26 years of age.
Zoster vaccine should be given to persons 60 years of age or older.

I check the payment page periodicly by putting the NVC case number and the INN on the sign in page and saw that finally the bill for the IV was online. I imediately paid the bill and was hoping to see the PAID the next day instead I saw payment status as unpaid. I called NVC and got thru....apparently the bill was not acutally generated yet so my payment was not applied to the NVC case....they are going to see if a supervisor will apply the payment to the case and also told me if they do it will take an additional 10-14 days sad.gif OUCH Big mistake...even bigger if i made a $400 donation if they dont apply it to the case!!!!!!!! Anyone else have this happen? If so what happened?

yup my sis that is 12 was offered it last year and this year when she went in for the required ones they demand for 12 year olds in middle school here it is still optional and our doctor makes sure she flat tells us i only offer it because i have to

I DIDNT KNOW UNTIL I SAW IT ON THE NEWS TODAY AND IT IS VERY CONTROVERSAL BECAUSE THEY ARE MAKING 11 YEAR OLDS GET THIS SHOT...They are making 11 year olds get the shot because it has appartenly been shown to reduce the risk of cancer in girls who have not yet been sexually active, hence 11 years old. Once you have been sexually active the percentage of it actually preventing falls quite a bit. (Well so i've ben told by my nurse)......

How long has that been necessary.........and is it safe.......there is controversy that they are having 11 year olds get that shot

my wife is 24 and in poland. is she going to need that shot and are we gong to have to wait 6 months for the series to be complete for her to come
i dont want to wait for a stupid shot she doesnt need

This is the vaccine that is supose to prevent cervical cancer. Has anyone heard if this is true or not......I called the state dept in washinton and the person i talked to said they did not believe it was necessary......

yes when i got that shot, that's what the doctor told me to prevent cervical cancer and prevent 3 types of HPV. The shot is required to 24 yrs or older and the shots requires 3 shots within 6 mos. it's also a new required vaccination to apply aos.
