They asked me questions like :
whats his name, when and where we met, have i met his family, what are his parents names, where they live, how does he get along with my family, his work, my previous visas, ... lots of questions.

During the interview I realized that I just had to be completely honest with them and stay cool...

We had our visa interview on thursday (dec.3) and we were approved. Visa should be in hand in about a week.
The consular officer had a million and one questions but we got it.... PS. embassy didnt look at any of the financial or relationship evidence.

FINANCIAL DOCUMENTS:
My finace is self-employed (IT consultant) and also has a part-time job (bartender). He does his part-time job whenever he is not working on any IT contracts.

We already got his tax returns for the last 3 years, 3 paystubs from consulting contracts, and a bank statement showing his current bank balance.

Which other financial documents should I take to the interview? A self written self-employemnt letter ? Letter from his part-time job??

Got a call from the embassy today. They already scheduled my interview for Dec.3 . Everything is going soo fast now... Starting to feel a bit stressed out and nervous.... But thankfully my finace will come to the interview with me.
In a way its good to live in a small country ( no long lines for interviews ).

Confused about POLICE CLEARANCE. I lived in the US for over 6 months. Do i need to get a police clearance from US too, or just my homecountry? Havent lived in any other foreign country.

Hello all!
Where are the NOA2´´s??
I got my packet 3 today and scheduled my medical exam for next week. Man, the medical is pricy. I am still hoping to have the interview at the beginning of Dec ( although the doc said that it takes at least 2 weeks for the x-ray and blood test results). Why do I need all these medicals in the first place ??
My process so far as been very smooth..knock on wood

Its funny, although i don´´t know you guys, I am still rooting for you and hoping that you get your approvals soon.

I still see that some of us havent gotten their NOA2´s yet. What is going on ?
My paperwork is going great so far. I just called NVC and they sent our papers to Estonia on Tuesday. that was very quick. I am now gathering all the paperwork and hoping that I will get to spend Christmas with my baby.


Those who still wait for the NOA2´s.... Stay positive, it will come.

OMG we got our NOA2 last night... I am so happy. Just checked my mail and saw the email from uscis, my heart started pounding like crazy..... I am still at work so I need to keep myself a little reserved in front of the kids ( i am a teacher) ..
This´is going to be such a wonderful day....

95 days.... no touches or NOA2 yet.
This waiting kills. Although I am happy for people who applied in August and September and already got their NOA2, it just aint fair. Is our guy/gal on vacation or something? Keeping my fingers crossed for this coming week.

Our petition hasn´t been touched yet either. Its still a mistery for me why some August petitions are getting their approvals already and June and July are waiting. But at least my finace is coming to visit me in 2 days which makes the wait a little easier to handle.
Lets be patient and keep on waiting for our NOA2´s.

Hello everyone!
I am a July 09 filer as well and decided to join this forum. I am so glad that I am not alone in this hidious process. But hopefully everything will go smoothly for all of us and we will get to go to our loved ones fast. I have been looking at peoples timelines and I actually found a couple who filed their papers in June and got their approval (NOA2) 2 days ago. Thats only 90 days for the approval. So I am keeping my finger crossed and hope that I will hear something in October-November.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand it's done! ;)

Ladies and gentlemen...we now have a new and edited version of our affidavit! And it's on ONE sheet of paper..all notarized and with the correct birthdate!

For those of you who are filling out I-134 online..BEWARE! Their software messes up your dates! MAKE SURE you either leave dates empty so you can fill them out by hand!

My lesson learned, once again: God doesn't simply turn our mistakes around...He manages to use them to better situations! :yes:

I had an ever brighter idea! woohoo! My fiance printed out I-134 on two sheets of paper....out of which page two is the notarized part of the affidavit..SOOOOO...I'm just going to print out page 1 on the other side of his original page 2!!! How brilliant is THAT!?!?! GOD IS GREAT! And I'm so glad He gives us wisdob beyond measure! :dance:

That means we won't have to wait....and it will also reduce the chance of the embassy not liking it spread on 2 separate sheets of paper! HOW BRILLIANT! YESSS :thumbs:

Kay...I'm off to correcting mistakes!

Hi,

My interview has been scheduled on March 12. I just got my baby's paperwork in the mail today, including his affidavit of support. Well, I noticed there is a mistake :crying: He filled out his application online and we did notice that they have a software problem. As he was typing in some dates, the application would immediately type the same dates for the question above... Well, it wasn't a big deal really, BUT he never thought to double check his birth date..and the stinkin' application had changed his birth date, too! He had it notarized by a notary public....how can they notarize a document WITHOUT first checking if the data is true??? I'm so puzzled.

Soo....the rest of our paperwork is in order...what is your suggestion? To still go ahead with the same affidavit...or wait
longer (which feels like a year longer...) and get a new appointment...who knows when? :unsure:

Please help.

Ohh my gosh! I am sooooooo happy just right now! 78 days at CSC...God is awesome and I survived the waiting time...paaatience - my "favorite" word :wacko:

We were touched yesterday and this morning I had 8 emails...I didn't mind that :yes: Might as well send a gazillion of those! Yeah! Off to conquering the rest of the journey!

Hi,

I think it depends. I, too, read about it. But went to see my fiance after he had filed the petition. I had no trouble what so ever entering. My POE was Chicago O'Hare. The guy simply asked me a few questions, was very nice about it. Among other quetions he asked me if we were gonna get married on this trip....which the answer was no :) I was honest about everything. No trouble.

However, I DO suggest taking with you some documentation showing that you will definitely have to go back: statement from your employer expecting you back at work at a certain date, real estate..stuff like that. Honestly, I had nothing else but a letter from my employer...and I didn't even have to use it :)

Hi!

We just received our NOA2 a few days ago and I included my Skype history :) I didn't have any problem printing it....I opened up my Skype account online and that has my call and SMS register....so I simply printed it out :)
