Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)Anyone reapply after being denied for drug/alcohol?
I just met someone that's in your same position... but I think they have more evidence. Her name is senoritacindy and she is open and willing to talk about it.
I'm also a mental health counselor, we have some things in common....
It seems like being honest is NOT suggested when talking about drug or alcohol history.
Good luck!

In the directions for he K3 it says after you receive the NOA1 for the I-130 you should send in the I-129F....
Is that not necessary?

thanks!! As far as I can tell, I don't need to send any documents (except our marriage certificate, translated of course) because we are already married... I guess I don't really get the point of the I-129F since we are married?

Read this topic TRANSLATION . It is about e-mails translations.

You know what you're right.... they are asking for more evidence now... but I don't have any because he lives there and I live here and we don't have kids... maybe we'll slip through!

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresAdvice about supporting documentation
I was under the impression that the marriage certificate was sufficient until the interview. I just got back my NOA1 from the I-130 with no problems.
But... I hear that if you do send proof in writing it needs to be translated...
I'm sending my I-129F tomorrow and I don't think I'll send proof... the marriage SHOULD be enough!

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionJuarez Interview
on the website under K3/K4 directions it says you DON'T need an affidavit:

13. Proof of Economic Solvency (The petitioner can provide a letter from their current employer, recent check stubs, and
current tax returns. The I-864 Affidavit of Support is not required. (A job offers letter for the beneficiary can also be
provided).

That's why I'm confused because in different places it says different things...I'm going to call Juarez again even though it's 7 bucks per call...

Thanks for your help!

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionJuarez Interview
I've heard that we don't need vaccinations or an affidavit of support for the interview in Juarez but on this website....
http://ciudadjuarez....ml#fiancepacket it has different info.

(our appointment letter nor packet have arrived and we are 2 weeks away from the interview YIKES!)

So there are 4 headings:
Instruction Packet for Immigrant Visa Applicants
Appointment Package for Immigrant Visa Applicants
Fiancee Packet
K3-K4 Visa

We are married, have the acceptance for 129F & 130F, SO WHICH ONE SHOULD I BE LOOKING AT?

Thanks for the help! Kristi

I see in your timeline that you put a NOA1 date and then later you received the NOA1 by "snail mail" is there another way to get the NOA besides snail mail?
Kristi

A week tomorrow since I've sent my I-129f last March 15,2007. I did track the conformation and it was recieved that Saturday (03-17-07) and until now they have not cash my check. How long would it take for them( California Service Center) to open, cash the check and doing NOA1?

See my timeline below....

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMedical Exam in Juarez
if you go to http://travel.state.gov you can find it on there.

There are only 2 place in Juarez to get it done:

CONSULATE'S POLICY ON ATTORNEYS ACCOMPANYING CLIENTS TO SCHEDULED INTERVIEWS

When the Consulate has the approved petition on file and has received all necessary clearances the applicant will be notified of the date for his or her immigrant visa interview. In Mexico, immigrant visa interviews are done only at the Consulate General in Ciudad Juarez. All applicants must also obtain a medical examination from a physician approved by the U.S. government. In Ciudad Juarez, there are two medical offices approved to process immigrant visa interviews. Both are located within a block of the Consulate. Applicants must present their visa interview appointment letter in order to obtain the medical examination. Most applicants have their medical examination on the weekday immediately proceeding the day of their immigrant visa interview. The clinics see applicants on a walk-in basis between 7 and 11 A.M. Monday to Friday
