Rach called again tonight.. they put in another service request so i can expect another generic mail stating "you are within your timeframe, we are dealing with july 10th filers....etc" We are at 6 months this saturday.. way to go vermont!! Paul also called tonight... he finally got to talk to an immigration officer and she told him that they cant put a service request in because we are within our time frame :bonk:but she also said that our case is "officially being reviewed now" what this mean??? What a rough road it has been, but I hear cases are getting sent to Santiago really quick...WWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Lisa, everything with embassy goes really smooth they really do work, nothing like USCIS LOL After you got to know your case is in Chile, email the embassy for any doubt you could have, they answer really fast!!!! I called USCIS again, not really expecting much (but hoping for the best) and asked to speak to a higher level of customer service. After waiting 15 minutes, she said that she had good news--my case was approved on January 4!!! Thank you so much, Lord!!! I can't contain my excitement =). I guess they just haven't updated my case online, but she said I should get a letter in the mail. Praise the Lord and thank you VJ for the encouragement!!! yay!! Congrats!! God is always faithful! Most senators have the form on their website. You need to download it, fill it out and sign it, and fax it to their office. A senator cannot force USCIS to do anything, but it frequently helps, as they will take a call from a senator's office much more seriously than a call from you. After waiting the 2 weeks on the inquiry on my case, I got an email response saying, "Your case is currently under review. You will receive a notice of action within 60 days of the date of this letter." 60 days? Are they kidding me? It's already been 5.5 months! You'd think they could at least give me a tighter time frame than that! I knew the government was inefficient, but I didn't know they would be this inconsistent and unfair, approving August filers when a lot of July filers are past their time frame. Sorry I couldn't bring some good news, but just had to get that off my chest. I know the Lord's timing is perfect and that this wait has strengthened my faith and my relationship with my fiancee, but I just wish USCIS would show some consistency! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Poe need help with problem please asap	ran into a problem and needing to solve it at the last minute. Husbands poe is this Saturday, I attended the interview with him and so we had combined all the paperwork together and so when separating it before I went home I ended up with his vaccination records although it seems he has everything else, since it's Wednesday already there's not enough time to ship this paperwork to him I wouldn't want to risk him not getting it in time before his flight, is there a way to get this to him from the airport where I could go through security to hand him this document or hand it to the immigration officer at the poe immigration post, not sure what to do as it has been hectic and we only realized this at the last minute, if anyone knows what we can do let us know please. would they possibly have vaccination copies in the sealed envelope, I'm not sure about this either, but I have the originals in hand and need to get them to my husband somehow. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Question about whether translation is needed for NVC	Thanks for the replies, I've generally taken a "better to have it and not need it" kind of attitude, but in this case we're late getting all of our documents together, and I'd rather not have to pay more if it can be avoided. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Question about the medical exam	I was reviewing the information provided on state.gov for the medical exam required for our interview in Chile, and they say we need to bring three things to the appointment: a) Carta de citación para su entrevista (our interview notice) b) Formularios para el examen médico (forms for the medical exam) c) El pasaporte vigente con el cual Ud. piensa viajar (passport that will be used to travel on) My question is about the second item: Are there some forms that we should have received or grabbed from somewhere? Or maybe is this something specific to Chile? I'm not quite sure what they might be asking for. I may go ahead and contact the embassy, but thought I'd ask here also. Thanks! Your English is great by the way. You have to be reaaly patient with this process. By the way I was able to expedite my husbands case because of the earthquake, but this benefit may only be for immediate relatives only (husband/wife or kids) check it out at USCIS website.
