Visa medical ? Thailand

My fiancee is a month or so away from getting packet 3. She lives in Pattaya and we were wondering if there is a facility in pattaya to get the visa medical?

How long does it take to get an appointment after you first call?

How long does it generally take for the visit if she does or does not get shots now? 1 hour 3 hours or 1 day?

Do you have to have the forms in hand from embassy to get medical? or can you make appt. ahead of time?

Same with police check, do you need embassy forms or can you go on you own to file for police report?

Thank you. We are trying to be patient, It is difficult to do so when noa 2's are being processed 5 weeks ahead of ours on a regular basis.
Everything was set to be pre or post Christmas to match up with my 11 holidays my employer gives us at Christmas, + 2 weeks vacation befor or after. Now since I promised I would be over at Christmas to meet rest of her family and I have 11 free days I have Spent 1900 on airfare and about 5000 total, then I will do the same at time of Visa which may be Feb. or March 08. Who knows? Very expensive delay for me.

Does anyone know if it finally gets to NVC if it will go back to 6-15-07 group of files, or will I be at the back of list? I called about this ? but I got answers about everything but my ? that I had asked..

They told me they are doing background investaigation on me. I am so fortunate to end up on the TSA watch list, so for the last 3 years I can not get a computer printout airplane ticket, I have to wait in line and go through the "extra screening" at the airport. I'm sure this is why I got the extra investagation and delay on my 2nd notice. It is almost impossible to get off that list, i've tried 2 times. Tough luck to me. "I am not a crook"

I'm trying to be patient. I called the info. line about 2 weeks ago and never talked to anyone. kept getting switched around. will try your # when i get off work in an hour. Im guessing that after the info. about "congressionals" got out everybody called there congresspersons. This has been a bad couple of months for me and fianc'ee, first it takes forever and then everybody is passing us up out of turn.

Help Help. Im depressed here. Except for 6-27 date when contractor reviewed for all forms sent, in I have
never had any touches. as of 11-19, 26 of the last 30 approvals have been after my date of 6-15-07 and 13 of 30 have been for month of July!! Do we have a new calander I don't know about. I tried calling, just a recording.

ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Never mind. I am in Thailand with my Fiancee now and opened up USCIS on third day here and I got my NOA2 December 19. A little over 6 Months. Anyway, thank you very much USCIS folks. I feel much beter now knowing that things are moving along. Now with the NVC average time for processing only being a few weeks over the last year, it should be just another 4-8 weeks before we can be together permanantly.......Right?

No NOA2 yet, no notification, 6-15-07 NOA1. I only found out about background check ( or so I was told) when I called Info. Line and nice lady told me what was hapening. She said call back in 1 week. I did and got the runaround, never saying anything about background check like 1st lady told me but cases are processed in order recieved. My Fianc'ee asked me last night "What are my plans if we do not get Fianc'ee Visa?" she thinks I am in control of Visa process because I am an American Citizen and I paid USCIS for a Visa. She learned in Thai school that the US government works for the people. I told her they do, but sometimes they are busy doing other things. I'm sure I will get processed soon.

Thank you all for your information. I am not interested in a lawsuit aginst USA. I see his frustration, especially if we have done nothing wrong. I have worked for Homeland Security for 2 years previously during 9-11 Boeing layoff, Background and drug check. I have passed USCIS $5000 background and drug check and interview in past 4 years for Customs job(high blood pressure history and vision prevented this job) (I think they do things backwards in hiring process.) I got recalled by Boeing 2005 and had background and drug test, and work at Military Boeing location. I have in the last year renewed my Concealed weapons permit in King County Washington ( fingerprints and background check) Im not sure what triggered this check, but I am pretty disapointed in the process and my fianc'ee is very worried that it is because I did not hire a Thai Lawyer at the "visa shop" and it is my fault it is taking so long.
What I do not understand is that I have been a productive, model citizen for 45+ years. Served in Military, worked for almost always #1 exporter at Boeing co. for 25 years and have a 95% score on my credit report. My fianc'ee has passed her police background check, worked since she was 12 and wants to become a US citizen and would make a excellent addition to this country with her work ethic and good attitude.

Bangkok pakage 3 sendback

Hi. I am is USA, Fiancee' in Pattaya Thailand. Package 3 is at Post Office for her to Pick up when she gets back from village today or tomorow. She has DS230 filled out, when she sends packet 3 back to Embassy does she need DS 230 and signed checklist? does she need to send any thing else at this time, passport photos or copy of passport?. will this get her packet 4 with the interview date?
She has police report from Nov. 07 she will get medical before interview. I will be in Thailand 1 week before interview to organize documents and 1 week after interview. do you think this will be enough time to get visa and catch plane back to north America? Tha

I do not know. I tried looking it up on net and they do not even list the post office across the street from the usa bangkok embassy, let alone the hours of operation of any post office, where I need to get my $131.00 non immagrant visa reciept.

got packet 3, 3 weeks later because it was sent to prev. address in a drop in locked mail box. ( we put in a change of add. apparently too late)
interview 5-15-8, but they moved it to 5-1-8 because had honeymoon reservation in arizona 5-17

criminal background check delayed things 2 months, (wrong guy. I am not a crook. wasted 2 months + 3 weeks in wrong mailbox, packet 3)
11 months from start to (hopefully) finish.

good luck, things are moving much quicker for people now. I leave friday night to Thailand for 5-1 interview. A long and expensive delay, but we are happy soon.

Hi. Does anyone know if we can get the $130 non immagrant thing at the post office across the street from embasst the same day of interview? our appt. is 5-1-2008 at 8AM. she lives in Pattaya, do we need to come up a day early to pay at post office or are they open at 6:00 or 7:00am?

Is there a hotel within walking distance? 5 10 min? 1000 to 1500 baht. Thank you very much

I'm not sure what time the BKK Post Office opens. However, if your interview is on 5-1-08, you can go anytime between now and then and pay the $131. You don't have to do it the day of the interview. And, you don't have to go to the post office across the street from the Embassy to pay the $131, any post office in BKK will be able to take your money for the fee. Once you pay the $131 visa fee, they'll give you a receipt and that is what you turn in on the day of the interview. However, if for some you're not able to pay the fee before the interview, don't let that upset you. When you're at the interview, just tell them that you were unable to pay the fee as of yet. They'll probably give you a 221(g) <I think that is what it is called> form stating that they can't approve you until you pay the fee. Then, after the interview, you can immediate jump across the road and pay the fee for the visa and take it back to the embassy. They will then issue you the visa.

In short, don't worry! They won't permanently deny you the visa based only on the fact that you haven't yet paid the visa fee! When we were at the interview about a year ago, the Embassy was very good about accomodating people who needed to turn in missing documents (in your case, the missing fee).

You'll be fine! If possible have your fiancee go pay the $131 in advance of the interview. She could go today and pay if she wanted, just tell her to be sure to keep the receipt they give her!
