USCIS Service CentersVSC churning out applications. CSC is absolutely comatose.

I think the frustration comes from the uncertainty and randomness of it all. I don't mind waiting 8 months if I have to but i want to know that is how long I have to wait period. If the approvals went out at steady pace not 3 months for some 6 for others or even 10 months for some then we would all be much calmer. Oh well....what can we do heh

Good luck to you guys and us

ps: gym really helps with the stress of it all as cliche as it might sound.

I agree, not knowing anything and being unable to plan simple things is just driving us nuts.

USCIS Service CentersSuch a loooooong wait!

Yes, a majority of filers in your time frame are in the same boat.

Some are getting processed, but it becomes more delayed as time goes on (as in they are processing less applications than are submitted). But you may be one of the lucky ones.

Why? It's a government department, for one....

218 days here :(

I liked obama until now.

Same. This was handled poorly. Over 7 months now of waiting.

USCIS Service CentersCSC seems take longer to process

You hit it on the nose! We should all be first in line to these illegals. I'm not saying it is a bad idea to allow illegals to file. We've been in line and Obama's Dream Act allowed them to cut us all. Point is, I don't care if they are illegals or the President's long lost sister, if we paid the same price, they need to move to the back of the line.

I don't think DACA is a bad idea. I do think they are not handling it well.

Did you see that they updated the CSC processing times page? Update date of 03/22, still showing processing cases from July 18... We are going on 4 months with that date... a third of a freaking year. Grrrrrr

Yes :( I'm dissgusted.
I'd not last much at my work if I were as productive as CSC.

Anyone here is a plumber close to CSC ? :)

I assume wednesday they'll need to plan a thursday meeting to talk about the plumbing problem.
And then comes friday, time to plan the weekend....

"Whenever they change immigration laws there are unexpected impacts"

Unexpected ? Like going from 5 months to a year to get NOA2 ?

I'm an IT guy and if someone in our team would say "we have an unexpected impact" he can expect to be fired by the end of the day.

Sorry I'm mad.

USCIS Service CentersQuick Response from Ombudsman (CSC)

The Ombudsman office is the only place where you will get a straight answer, in my opinion and personal interaction with them.

That's what you get when you email Ombudsman: Got that this morning.

"The Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e) processing time at the California Service Center (CSC) has slipped based on competing agency priorities. The CSC is realigning resources to address the processing times for certain forms to include the Form I-129F. As additional officers are assigned to this workload, the center expects to reduce the current processing time for Form I-129F."

USCIS Service Centerstrying to understand the CSC

let's think about possible scenarios for what recently happens with CSC approvals.

1. some workers, maybe newbies, picked up a random pile of K-1 applications and eagerly got to work on them. which would explain the "normal" pace of a few approvals a day.
the fact that the dates of the NOA1s are so close to each other happens to be a coincidence, because the pile that got picked up happened to be from late november.

2. CSC is trying to make their metrics look good. either so people stop complaining or can't complain. their attitude could shift to "we are at a 5 month average anyway, so stop calling us". which would of course only apply to concerned applicants from november and later. however if they want to reach a lower average processing time, it would mean filers from october and earlier have every right to be granted service requests. which would cause the CSC even more extra work.
i personally have no idea what system they work with and how this could really be beneficial to them.

3. those cases were expedites. but we know from forum activity that this fact does not apply on all of them.

what can be said for sure is, that if they keep playing this game, they can expect some angry phone calls. from me for sure.
they only give july - october filers every reason to get riled up and they even lower their system of defense by processing later months. there's no more excuses.

what else could be a reason? can someone think of an explanation for this mystery?

I say option 2. This way they look good and anyhow all july to october people are mad at them already.

USCIS Service CentersCSC

what is this H1B ?

H1B is a temporary work visa. Valid for 2 years.
There's a quota of people coming to work to the US and thus every year companies rush to apply for it when they want to hire a foreigner before the quota is reached.

USCIS Service CentersCSC K1's delayed at least two months

I feel so upset. Did you make any actions yet? I keep on calling USCIS but they say the same thing. "we are on july 18th filers now" :help:

Tried a e request to get the usual letter wait 120 days.
Talked to tier 2 guys at USCIS got "we are overloaded..." wait 60 days.
Tried Congressman, he told me he might get rfe soon that was 3 weeks ago.
Out of idea.

USCIS Service CentersA rep for our congressman contacted USCIS on our behalf

I specifically mentioned to him the lack of action on the July through October cases, and the recent November and Deceomber approvals. He conveniently skirted those questions. It's interesting though that, according to his conversation with the USCIS officer, that they have been contacted by many congessional offices regarding the fiance visa. Maybe the pressure is finally getting to them. Here's hoping!!

They'll say anything to go enjoy their weekend.

USCIS Service CentersSo CSC is approving files from Oct-Dec?

Here is a theory. The July-October files are so far down the mound of application files at CSC that to get to them they have to go through more recently filed ones. So they figured they might as well process them.

Makes sense :)

USCIS Service Centerswhat's the reason of no July - Oct. files had been approved?

you know that DACA is the general reason for this delay of k1, but not the exactly reason of why did they jump to those Nov.Dce. files.........

Yes working on Nov / Dec fillers will improve their aerage time I know that.
moondreamMalePhilippines2013-04-14 21:17:00
USCIS Service Centerswhat's the reason of no July - Oct. files had been approved?

So recently here are many Nov. & Dec. files had been approved which doesn't seem like been asked to expediate, what could be the reason?

I guess, files of Jul.Aug.Sep.Oct.had been somehow affected by the waterflood of broken plumb , so they may have to re-organize these months's files, both hardcopy and softcopy, before they can process them; and meanwhile they jump to process Nov. and Dec. files that are not been flooded to still complete some files as their task, does it make any sense? the USCIS won't tell us the reason straightly even this is true, is there sb. get a reasonable answer from congressman or senator?

There are currently 7 comments... I know there are plenty of people that have been waiting a long time, if you can comment on it, please do it, and not only how long you have been waiting, but also how this has personally affected you.

Thanks!

USCIS Service CentersI Cannot Believe It!!

Guys... This probably comes to no surprise but this process is broke.. I think our government know this and really could care less.

I was one of those who sent a letter to Director Neufeld at the beginning of April. This past Thursday I received a response advising that, although my inquiry was appreciated, I should seek information either through the USCIS web site, calling the automated system or speaking personally with someone on the phone.

Did the same thing and got the same exact letter today. :(
moondreamMalePhilippines2013-04-15 16:29:00
USCIS Service CentersI Cannot Believe It!!

Stop the nonsense and start preparing for your fiancee to arrive. You have a lot to do.

The process is not broken, the process is not designed to answer the anxious questions of every petitioner. So stop it. You will only become more frustrated and accomplish nothing to help your fiancee.

You will get a notification in the mail when the petition is approved.

Wow you're for sure helping.

USCIS Service CentersNew info regarding CSC

Moondream I am surprised they let you file a service ticket, everytime I wanted to do it they said they can't since I was within the timeframe. But that is utter BS, I understand your position as I just found out today my Fiancee has been diagnosed with severe depression due to our situation plus things back at home not looking too good. Hoping we get to hear something and that we don't really have to wait another 4 months. Because that would be utter nonsense.

You're 7/23 I'm 7/17 so since the date on csc has been july 18th for 3 months I can fill all the service request I want. That doesn't change a thing though.

I hope You have better luck than us.

USCIS Service CentersNew info regarding CSC

Well lets hope all us July filers get their dues back and bring some good news. I know some of you have reached your 9 month mark today and some in the coming days like myself. We deserve some good news after late Nov/early Dec received their unexpectedly. Hoping CSC has gotten back to their track again after falling off the wagon so to speak.

I just called CSC. July 17th filler here.

Tier 2 told me "ooh You filled a service request in March 9, so wait 120 days to call us and don't bother call again."

Then when I mentionned it was 9 months I was waiting with my kid asking everyday she said "I don't have access to Your file anyway."

So in fact applying again looks like a better solution than staying in the black hole forever since now You wait 4 or 5 months max. In 4 months all I can expect is calling to hear "Do You want to fill a service request?"
