Asia: SouthFeeling hopeless
We had the same problem with the short meeting and getting married and the first thing the consulate officer told my wife that this is a sign of fraud. I don't want to get you down because i for one do not see a problem with some one meeting and getting married in a short time I dated my first wife for a year and got married and it was a nightmare. And age is no thing in my book if you love someone you love them no matter what. I just want to say address all the concerns you have in a letter to the consulate officer and explain the reasons an how much you love each other.. It can't hurt and it will address the red flags early before your husband interviews.. affadavits from his family and neighbors will be a big help. That's what i was told after we were denied I wish i would have done it. And not have to wait to do it now.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresSuggestions For Filing I-130 for stepson after K3/K4 is already approved
I would file it asap so it can get approved and you can get the AOS done faster. I only filed the I-130 for my step son with no G325a its not required for under 18 years old, I did include my birth certificate and divorce papers from previous marriage and my stepsons birth certificate with translation. I also included a letter explaining that the petition was for my stepson and his mother was never married to his father. It was approved with no problems

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionConsulate visits my wife at home.
Ok I got more information from the consulate in Panama. I e mailed them a week ago for more information. Well I emailed them Friday saying i need to know what is going on with my case. I basically hinted that i was going to take further actioon on my case. Well i got an email back from them within an hour apologizing that they didn't explain them selfs fully to my wife. The gave her no notice of any kind just that they needed to read over the papers and check into them further. Well the email says they are waiting on security checks to come back and they will contact my wife when they finish. They took her and my step sons passports on the day of the interview. so I hope the security checks are all they are waiting on..

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionConsulate visits my wife at home.
I divorced in 2000 and she has never married. She does have a son the father never married and she has custody papers and he said he would not contest him living in the U.S. My income is well above the guidelines. The only thing i can think of is she said they asked why we married so soon after we met. I guess they want to make sure we have a legit relationship. I Included many emails, phone records My auto insurance thats in both our names money gram receipts where i send her and my stepson money and many photos before and after we married. I don't see what the big deal is i guess there are many fraud marriages they have to deal with. My parents met and married in less the a month and have been together for 41 years. It's all making me a little crazy...

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionConsulate visits my wife at home.
Ok last week the 25th my wife had her interview she was told that her case needed to be read over more. Well today the consulate visits her home in chepo that is two hours from panama city and she wasn't home. My stepson was home with her mother and the asked more questions about me. They knew all the answers to what they asked but it seem strange to me I have never read anywhere that they could visit and question minors i guess they can if they want to but i just wanted to see if anyone has had this experience.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionDenied now what do i do..
yea i know it's hard at a time like this it's almost like being hit on the head. I served 15 years in the military for my country and and still work as a department of defense civilian employee never asked for anything in return and now ask that my wife can come and be with me and this is what you get. Well I know it seems like a short time but we met in September and I visited her every day after work and every weekend we would spend it together at a motel near town so i could show her the sights and things in North Carolina. Well I asked her to marry me at first she said no and i took it as she was scared. Well she Finlay said OK in November and we married with all my family and her friends from Texas and here present and took many photos. I know it seems like a short time but my mother and father marred in 2 months and have been together for 40 years. She even returned to panama earlier than her I-94 expired. She also wanted to be with her son at Christmas and i could get all the paper work filled. Well tomorrow she is going to pick up her passport and i guess they will give her some kind of notice then. I will have to wait.

Ok i talked more with my step son and he said that he was asked where does your father live and he told them in panama Meaning in panama city my wifes home in in Chepo panama almost two hours away. He says he never said that his father lives with them because he never has. I have written and explained that my stepsons father is married and lives in panama city. My wife even told them this and she said the consular wouldn't even Listen to her. She has papers stating she has custody and permission for my step son to go to the US. She also has a certificado de soltero meaning that she is single and has never been married. My son also said that it was American's that came to the home and there Spanish was very bad. He only knows little English I speak Spanish I learned in the Military Its not strong but He said my Spanish was better than theres. I know i rant on But i want to put all of this out here so others can lean what to expect and maybe save them from going through this....... I have an appointment with an attorney tomorrow...

ok here is a email i got from the consular that interviewd my wife,

I apologize that you feel that we do not have the facts right in this case. Here is what we have gathered. During my initial interview, your wife was unable to answer several simple questions about you and her relationship with you. This is often a sign of relationship fraud, and so I followed established procedure and referred the case to the Fraud Prevention Unit (FPU) here at Embassy Panama . FPU followed all procedures and gained the testimony of your step-son and others that your wife continues to live with the father of her child. We have made no assumptions; we have simply gathered these facts and have sent her file back to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) with a recommendation that it be revoked as it is not clearly approvable. The case will be reviewed by DHS before the visa is denied. Without knowing you or your wife, consular officers are forced to base their decisions on the interview, the law, and all other available evidence. I hope this helps you understand the decision that was made and why it was made. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions about this case, and please be patient in awaiting a response; it often takes time to sift through and answer the vast amounts of e-mails we receive each day.

Sincerely,

Sean Greenley

Vice-Consul

Embassy Panama

ok the questions were not several question's it was 3 that she did not know.

1. How much money i make a year. I told her how much i make every pay day but we never talk about money because she didn't want me to think she was marrying me for my money.
2. Have i been to Iraq ( I don't talk about my military career because i don't like the memories) she knows i work as a civilian for the Department of Defense.
3. where does my brother live. ( she only went one time and i never thought to tell her she knew he lived near me.)

Let me say that they drilled her for over an hour and she answered the rest of the questions it was so many she cant remember them all.
They even asked her when and where we first made love.

Ok, I have more information now. My wife went to pick up her passports today and was told that the reason for the denial is that she lives with the father of my stepson. They questioned him without her present she was at the hospital with her sister. Ok the man that they seen at my wifes house is her brother and was never asked any thing and her mother was there also. My wifes brother is staying with her temporary untill he finds a new job. Ok the consular gave her no type of notice or any thing he just said it was denied and that her visitor visa i being revoked and she is baned from applying for 10 years ####### and that the petition is being sent back the the US and there is nothing we can do. She said that this is very young guy and i think that
he has just been hired. I think that this is BS and none of the proper procedures where followed. I have written many emails to ask to speak with a supervisor but to no avail. I wrote my senator and to the Ambassador in panama I guess i will have to wait more... Also they said she couldn't tell them if i have been to Iraq I work for the national guard full time. I don't talk much about my military career because i do not wish to remember it. I am a civilian now with the department of defense and she knew that and what i did. I guess i need to find an Attorney and sue.
