For something so simple like providing original/certified copy of a copy shouldn't take that long from them to approve. I mean I know they say 60 days but I thought that it is just so people don't call them. I mean they say 60 days but for the most part it's earlier than that. Anyone had any experience with CSC? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2013 I-130 Filers	so I made an appointment to the uscis office and they told me that the wait is longer and its now 6-12month for them to process the I-130 because of the workload and then she told me that they r not sure if they even have my file cause I received a RFE cause I missed a spot where I had to sign. They sent a text message to my phone with my msc# but I never received a 797 back from them. Now im kinda worried that what if they don't have my paperwork. They get all that when she files for visa at embassy.. Quote from my local office "I-130 is only proving citizenship and proof of relationship not her identity". Tell her to go ahead and swap to your last name if that is her new last name.. It isn't going to hurt because everyone has to renew their passport sometime and if she has any stamps when visiting you in US then make a copy Yeah that's what I figured but I did send her birth certificate in.
