US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionPassport Photos for Embassy Interview
I'd cut them out because usually, you just hand them your stuff and they check if it's all there. Not sure if they'd appreciate uncut pictures.
But be careful not to cut off edges or too much, you know those requirements are pretty strict.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionWhat statement should be in Police Certificate?
the police report should be a standard letter stating either that there is no record of felonies etc. or which records of such there is.
There won't be any specific wording in it, at least not that I know of. In Germany, some employers, esp. in the health care business request such a letter to make sure the employee has a clear record. Not sure how it works in Pakistan

this varies from embassy to embassy. For K3 I only had to have 1 year (Germany). But I believe some others require 3 years. Call your embassy and ask them or go to a region specific forum and ask others from your country

Congrats!
Frankfurt definitely is one of the best embassies out there. Everyone is friendly and helpful and the interview is usually very nice as well.
Crossing my fingers for you (but doubt you'll need it).

Is your American father on your birth certificate? If yes, you might be eligible for citizenship by blood relation.
Call the embassy in Frankfurt to figure out more. Or visit their website, you might find something there as well.

QUOTE (Cassie @ Aug 5 2008, 10:35 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
With the laws as they are here in Oklahoma, I'd rather have them on me. Between my documents and my medicine I carry with me, my purse doesn't travel far from me.

IMHO, the law is the law, whether it may be inconvenient or not.

I absolutely agree. Here in OK you better have your GC with you...they are crazy bout that stuff here.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 my case has been touched but "case description" remain the same
ditto, unfortunatley a change in date doesn't mean anything at all. Some people never get touched, some get touched 100 times but the outcome is the same...

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionSo far, we've "slid through..."
we used our dog's akc papers and we were both on the vet bills and stuff. Did you file taxes together? That's a big one.
Any bills in both your names and mail addressed to both of you. If your driver's licenses show the same address, that's good, too. Insurance policy is a good one, and so is the lease. Anything with both your names on it really. We didn't have any bills together, but some were in my name some in his to the same address so we submitted that.

you should be fine. Make sure you take your NOA1 with you just in case, because sometimes some people like to cause us trouble for no reason. I travelled with my green card barely still valid and it worked out just fine (I think I had 1-2 weeks till expiration)

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionCan we file for naturalization and removal of conditions at the same time?
Removal of Condition and Naturalization are two separate processes and can be done simultanously. And yes, it is really expensive to do anything with USCIS these days. Maybe their way of "natural selection": only richers can be in the US now wink.gif

could you please add me to the list?

Germangel:
sent to TSC: 5/2/08
Biometrics 5/27/08
5/21/08 NOA 1 from VSC

However, I cannot check my status online. It always says that my receipt number is not on file. Is that pretty common with this type of application? I know I had some probs with that stuff with my I-130 originally.
Thanks!
Angel

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresstay in US for 90 days
Many immigration officers would look at you as a person with immigrant intend. In this case they can refuse to let you in.

If you are lucky they let you through but there's a risk.

It depends on you if you wanna take it or not. I decided not to but it's everyone's own choice.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresQuestion about medical
I had my medical done in Frankfurt. It's important to know that they do this on a walk-in basis, other doctors in Germany you need an appointment for.

The doctor looked at my vaccination records and asked if I had chicken pocks. That was all. But then again I was there for K3, I don't know if it's any different from CR1, I don't think so though.

They do the blood test on you. You can't do it with your doctor as the consulate won't accept results from other physicians than their registered ones.

Don't really know what they do the urin test for but they do one. I think for any kidney deseases or something.

I don't know about the x-rays but I suggest you cal ahead and asked and maybe take your prior x-rays with you to show to the doc.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresWhat if 1-130 is approved before spouse enters on K3?
I'm in the same situation. I am leaving to the US on the 9th and my 130 just got approved on Jan 25. It's at the NVC already so I wrote them a letter and told them that I would like to continue the CR1 process but to send any correspondence to the USC as I will be living there as well.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresI-864 question about co-sponsor
my father-in-law wil be a joint sponsor as my hubbie's a student and doesn't make enough.
Sorry for using co-sponsor all the time, I did K3 and that was the term you use there if someone else fills out the I-134 to sponsor you as well.

So a joint sponsor it is, and it'll be 2 I-864s and nothing else. If income is sufficient, I don't need to list assets. Right?
I hope I got it right now, was just confused for a bit. Makes sense!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresI-864 question about co-sponsor
hi guys,
I have a question about the affidavit of support form.
We are using a co-sponsor. Do we have to name him and his income in Part 4 C where it asks for "income of other qualifying person"?
And does our co-sponsor have to put my hubbie there even though he doesn't make enough?

And then, just to make sure: both the sponsor and co-cponsor have to fill out the I-864, not the I-864A, right?

do we have to list assets even if income is sufficient??

thanks in advance

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresChange of beneficiary address.
simply write a letter to the NVC in which you give them your new address. That's what I did and they got it in their system about 1 week later. Remember to put down your case # and your spouse's old address. if your spouse writes the letter, have him/her send it to you by email and you sign it and send it out. That way you save plenty of time with the mailing.
You need to do this in written form!!

Good luck

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresI-864 fillable form?
Thanks so far, I just saw that I have a question concerning Part 4.C
My hubbie is a student and therefore didn't file a tax return for 2004.
In that part it only has the following options however:

- I filed single/seperate
- I filed joint return (only my own income)
- I filed joint return (spouse and myself)

Now, there isn't an option for
- I didn't file one at all
How should I answer this question??

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresIs a co-sponsor`s birth certificate required?
for all joint sponsor you will have to submit a birth cetificate or copies of their passport.
For your spouse you probably won't have to submit proof of citizenship as they already have a copy in the approved petition.
